He's an intelligent lad. Loads of A* at GCSE and A levels. He attended a top public school where its pupils are known for their academic ability. Do intelligent footballers make the best footballers?

I never realised that you meant "ginger Juric" as a compliment. I think most people consider it derogatory. What on earth has Nathan Jones got to do with Still??
-
What a load of bollocks. All managers ultimately fail. Calling it this early when his record reads 3 wins from 5 (treble the number of wins that Juric achieved in half a season) is rather premature. Do you have any Pompey affinity by chance ??
-
Has Batman ever liked one of our managers? 5 games in and Still hasn't won every game by 3 clear goals so Still is the "ginger Juric". Its quite pathetic.

Can see Taylor staying. He provides cover at left back if Welington's ankle proves to be a problem and may well be preferable to Manning if Manning forgets to close down crosses.

It is disappointing how those youngsters who formed such a good team had their heads turned so quickly. I remember the squad being paraded round the ground just before they appeared in a youth final. Was it due to agents, greedy parents, lack of a perceived pathway or just heads being turned by the prospect of £££? There was a video on here of JJM standing with Everton away supporters flicking V's at home fans. Without wanting to sound too much like an old fogey, it is a shame how few of the players felt any loyalty to the club that nurtured them.

Downes taking a drink from the Ipswich physio's bzg. 😁😁😁😁

Can we start to get something clear. DownEs is Flynn, he plays in midfield and should be kept away from chicken livers. Downs is Damion. He is a forward, misses open goals and has a funny haircut. It is going to be a long season if posters can't get this correct.

Its quite amusing to watch these 2 different summaries and commentaries of the same match.

Just leaving SMS. Looking forward to reading this thread. It is going to be a classic. 😂😂

I expect a lot of people did. Don't you lot ever get tired of slagging off SOG?? Why don't you grow up??

Notts County. Not Stoke. We outplayed them in November and lost 1 nil.

There are not many Americans in Barbados. A lot of Brits and a lot of Canadians. If you talk to someone who who has an American sounding accent you normally discover that they are Canadian.

Have a look at Spread betting. Much more conducive to betting on football with many more possibilities.... But be very careful. It is a way to lose your shirt.

True but is that because we have fewer crown jewels to sell than this time?

Farage ought to try and save a bit harder if he is only worth £3 - £4 million. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9wjgkr1750o

There is an awful lot of sensible advice on here. I use HL and although their fees are annoyingly high they do have a good website and app. They are however prone to push certain funds at the expense of others. Their "Wealth Shortlist funds" are often not the best performers in their sector. Maybe they earn better commission on their Wealth funds. It is essential to keep an eye on how your investments are performing. Bad performers need to be ditched fast. You always get told that past performance is no guarantee of future performance but in the same way that you know that Liverpool will always be near the top of the PL, so you find that the better fund managers tend to get consistently the best results.

I'm surprised that Trump didn't do a John Terry and wear the Chelsea kit. https://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2025/jul/14/trump-front-and-centre-for-chelseas-trophy-lift-in-club-world-cup-video

If he goes at least the bloke who sits behind me won't be able to go on about "the vicar". Dibling.... Dibley. Getit?? Not surprised it never caught on.

I haven't had any IR35 dealings for several years now but check the time limits imposed by the regulations. They used to be (and still may be) relatively short so a gap between April and July may be sufficient for you to escape IR35 penalties. Sorry I cannot be more up to date.

Everybody has their own story to tell about the NHS. Some good some bad. My father was persuaded by my sister to attend his GP concerning a problem. His appointment was at 1130 am. The GP suspected a mini stroke and wanted him to go to hospital. I picked him up just before 4 pm after he had been taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital 10 miles away, tests had been performed, diagnosis made and treatment prescribed and given. Not a bad service IMO. -
For the first time, I can say that I am pleased that Juric was our manager.
