Especially as my Solihull based, Saints fan nephew has been friends with O' Hare since they were at school together 20 years ago. I would get so much inside information I could start my own COT. 😁😁😁

You missed off Saints having an automatic bye every year to the FA Cup Final.

That's bold of you - bringing religion into the election debate. Ade you trying to attract MLG?? 😁😁😁

What's the expression? "You can tell a lot about a man from the company that he keeps." Perhaps this sums up" our Nige" https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/jun/09/nigel-farage-questions-convicted-fraudster-campaign-role-george-cottrell

Did he actually play in the Champions League final that they won? Again I stand to be corrected but I think he was a sub and he never came on the pitch. In the year that Liverpool won the League he played 15 times (including substitute appearances) and scored just the 1 goal. Over 6 seasons he barely averaged over 20 appearances for them (including sub appearances) He was hardly an integral part of Livetpool's success and his international career was over before he was 30. Admittedly his bank balance may be better than if he had stayed but I doubt that he would have been on a pauper's wage with us. Did he make the right move to leave?

Oh great. Get her back and we can join the Single Market that she created.

Did he? He wrote a nice letter to the fans on the club website. I may be mistaken but I don't recall a full page Echo advert.
-
So you dispute that Lallana could have had MLT status?? It is obvious why he moved. Most people would in his position.... But it came at the price of his reputation.
-
I am not sure that you will ever find a government that fits your definition of right wing ....thank God.
-
Not at all... where did I say that? But he is on record as saying that he regrets the way in which he left and I think he wants to come back to try and restore his image in the area. If he couldn't give a shit about his image why did he take out his full page advert in the Echo when he left? Name me one other player who has taken out a similar advert.

Lets see how this election finishes but the idea that people vote in a "lefty" government because the Tories are not right wing enough defies logic. You and the other pub bores down your local maybe far further to the right than posters on here but the British public are not. blockquote widget

There has always been something a little needy about Lallana. He comes from a prominent Freemason family and the ethos of Freemasonry is one of friendship and co-operation. The animosity shown by Saints fans towards him must have hurt him. There were several occasions when he didn't play at SMS for Liverpool because he was "injured". He often appeared to be bricking it when he did play. In one of his first matches back he came on as a sub and took a corner which ended up nearer the halfway line than our goal. I think that he recognises that he was a shit when he left us and wants to put things right. Lets face it - he had the opportunity to be as well regarded around the area as MLT and he blew it.

I would have thought it was bleeding obvious. It is called hypocrisy to ignore the faults of one side when criticising the same fault on the other side. Is your name hypocrite or hypochondriac??

Its not just the Greens who have some dodgy candidates. Who would ever believe that Farage's party associated with Nazis? https://goodlawproject.org/reform-uk-suspends-candidate-who-shared-video-shot-at-far-right-protest/

Oswald Moseley started off as Socialist and ended up leading the Blackshirts. Hitler led the National Socialist party. The moral of the story is that during the 1920s /1930s Fascist leaders started off Socialist and becane Fascist. Farage has always enjoyed singing songs about gassing Jews.

Disagree with what you say about the Lib Dems. They will not be wiped out. Their percentage vote may well decline but they are concentrating their resources on seats where they can win. My constituency has always been solid Tory. Heseltine and Johnson have been previous MPs. The Lib Dems have usually come second. Now however it is one of the Lib Dem target seats. They hold other nearby seats. With tactical voting and the ABC voting pattern (Anyone But Conservative) I can see them winning my constituency. One of the polls that is based on a constituency by constituency basis rather than looking at the national percentages reckoned that they would win 63 seats. The same poll put the Tories at 95 seats. If this is correct, the way that things are going it is not impossible for the Lib Dems to become the official opposition.

Nah. No way can anyone who went on holiday instead of going to Wembley be given such a prestigious award.

Labour seem to be doing much better at keeping their extremists at bay than the Tories .

Its not surprising that Everton are in financial trouble. They pay Mason Holgate £80 grand a week.

Adam the Lama to return to Saints? Is this true?

Tamesaint replied to TheAlehouseBrawlers's topic in Golden Posts
Who was the Saints player who at the end consoled the Leeds players? Stephens? Bednarek? -
Downes was really giving it large after the match. With a bit of luck he could be persuaded to stay.
