Mooy is a decent player, he’d have done well for us. Would certainly offer more then the likes of Armstrong.

Still have nightmares about the home game with them under Hughes where we threw away a lead. Skate nugget Mount is bound to score. We’ll huff and puff but ultimately lack quality at both ends.

Why would he have with Bertrand in the team?

I’m slightly torn. I still think he’s the best manager we’ve had since Koeman, and a team in our position couldn’t really hope for much better. We’ve also had a really rough start, Liverpool, United, Spurs and now Chelsea in our opening 8 games. Then again, he seems to regularly fall out with players and some of his recent tactical/positional ideas are questionable at best. I’m still very much a fan at the moment though.

Just felt like another soulless corporate plaything to be honest, I wasn’t THAT impressed.

Fair enough, I haven’t seen it again but didn’t look like it live.

It didn’t take a deflection and went right through him. I was right behind it, should have been a comfortable save.

About 200 without tickets got in by all accounts! Certainly more then packed in that away end. Top atmosphere too from everyone. There were some great stories too, particularly one lad who waded in (and didn’t get a scratch) before the game and lost both his shoes in the carnage. Walked around with trench foot for the rest of the night Every single Portsmyth has been shattered, they are genuinely humiliated and don’t know what to do with themselves. Fantastic.

I hope people realise the significance of last night. Saints fans that haven't even been born yet will be talking about this result in 30/40 years, much like we do with Moran, and saying how they wished they could have been there. Those of us lucky enough to be there will never forget it.
