  1. Of that 27 we'll ditch a keeper and have Lewis as back up. Seager won't feature and imo will be released - just not happening for the poor kid.

    Alfie Jones

Lack of pace is the issue for me but he's got something about him. I'd prefer Bertrand as a 3rd CB though, particularly if we stick with Vestergaard - we need pace in the back 3.
  3. Good luck to the bloke. He's been a great servant on and off the pitch and deserves regular football. I suspect his squad place will go to Marcus Barnes.
  4. You utter cvnt.
  5. It's not that this is "not directly Saint relationship" but that it's not remotely Saints related. You mention 2 specific situations. What went on with Bellamy none of us know so posing a question of whether Bellamy is a tyrant or the lad is over sensitive is plain daft and just invites speculation and potentially scurrilous comment. From what I hear though, Bellamy is a nice fella but whether he's been a bit of a helmet, who knows.
  6. But we don't so it's a pointless question.
  7. Neither are good enough. Mo being shi'ite doesn't suddenly make Sims good enough.
  8. I think you could be right.
  9. Yep. Knowing that there's a chance of promotion must be a hell of an incentive. Good management brings improvement though the whole club.
  10. Decent performance. Back 3 all did well - Klarer has improved on the ball and O'Driscoll has turned into a clone of Stephens. Kid at RB solid and promising debut. Vokins at LB petulant first half and disappointing - he's always impressed me but not today. Smallbone had a decent game and main creator. Jankewitz started well before fading but looks a talent - tall, strong, good passer and an organiser. One to watch. Hamblin did very little. Tella scored a good goal but otherwise just runs around a lot. Afolabi strong, pacy, makes decent runs and is another to watch. Overall a decent performance from a young time. The one negative were the shocking throw ins - nobody offered up for the ball and the ref had to tell us to get on with it.
  11. Great work by Afolabi for the goal - dumped their CB on his arse to let the ball run to Tella. Afolabi has got a bit about him.
  12. I did. Constant. We're watching different games.
  13. Wing backs. Olufunwa right. Vokins left. Tella and Smallbone kind inside left and right behind teh striker. Jankewitz looks very good so far. Range of passing, strong, offers up for the ball and talking.
  14. I'm watching and he's a beast. Playing a back 3 with wing backs playing very high and Vokins coming inside like the man city full backs do.
  15. Yep. O'Connor can play CB or CM so impossible to tell. I've never seen the kid who's playing at RB. Not sure Jankewitz has started for the u23 before but is a prospect apparently. With such a clear pathway to the first team it'll be interesting to see how much more the kids give.
  16. ? Very interesting. Much greater chance of shifting McCarthy than Forster, and keeping both makes no sense. Lewis is a decent prospect also...hmmm.
  17. Interesting re Reed - I thought it was a season loan so no recall. If he can come back, I think he's a player who would suit the RH style. I reckon we'll see Slattery start this one with Vokins on the bench with at least one other new face, perhaps Smallbone and a guest spot on the bench for a random keeper - perhaps Lewis. Hoedt to get a game - we need CB's with Yoshida away and he needs match time. My guess for what it's worth. Gunn Ramsay Stephens Hoedt Targett Slattery Romeu Armstrong JWP Mo Obafemi (if fit) Bench: who knows but some of Lewis, Vokins, Smallbone, Johnson and Reed (if he's back). We'll win.
  18. It's a season long loan so he's there for the season.
  19. And your rant will achieve what exactly? The blokes gone.
  20. I couldn't give a monkey's who wins the league, how Liverpool do, and how any of our ex players do. I'm not sure why anyone would. I'm a Saints fan and how we do is all that interests me.
  21. More defence orientated apparently, so I'm guessing likely to offer less in back 3 than Valery but possibly more in a 4. I wander if we'll see someone like Long ahead of him to give the width, and hopefully more protection than Valery did against West Ham - poor kid was hung out to dry.
  22. egg

    Absence of Cedric

Whoever is left wing for city is captain of my fantasy team if that's the case. If it's Sane or Sterling, they'll murder Ramsay.
  23. Yep. Targett 60% of the player Bertrand is.
  24. We're poor tonight. Wing backs are a weakness, Armstrong everywhere apart from where he should be, ponderous and look jaded.
  25. Yep. Gotta rotate with all these games. I fancy Gabbi for the Armstrong role and Obafemi up top.
