  1. Let's hope someone finds the instructions for the Acme Rickie Lambert Goal Machine soon then because I'm getting a little nervous if everyone else is injured... would be great to see David Connolly have a late cameo at this stage in the season.
  2. Right, come on Lambo, drop back deep to pick up the ball, thread Guly on the overlap for a far post cross to the onrushing Forte to score a screamer to make Ohio Saint's birthday... as long as Barney adds a couple to make it safe.
  3. COYR! Amazing how often we struggle without Lallana, I still hope its coincidence due to us playing teams that pack the midfield when he's not playing for us. Without Spiderman or the Ox I was really hoping Forte and Guly would do the business with a little width. We're creating chances though, and wonder if the second half changes and instructions from 'tactical genius' Adkins comes to fruition.
  4. Really impressed with the quality of the FL app - highlights of our games are available quickly and the table updates/scores and text commentary are useful. I would be eternally grateful if the licensing issues were ever resolved to the point that I could listen to our games on the iPhone over here but that's unlikely to happen so I'm simply very happy with the current FL app.
  5. Disturbingly I had been in the bathroom when three of our recent goals were scored in consecutive games. It wasn't until Barney added a third the other week against MK Dons that I finally left the bathroom for a game... Made it very uncomfortable for the missus ha!
  6. Great result. Very pleased with that, it could have gone so wrong today. Not letting Huddersfield and the MK Dons' late recoveries cloud our great result, because we now can gain automatic on our own efforts and not have to worry about others. Delighted. Planning my trip home for the Walsall game - tickets arrived already. Need to make sure I don't forget them so have them stapled to my passport.
  7. Huddersfield had a penalty saved. No Lallana cameo appearance today... pleading we can hold on for three points.
  8. I definitely needed to spend less time mining planets... Thoroughly enjoyed it and think Tali died during my run through. Anyone know of any two player games like this - trying to drag my fiancee in the grim world of gaming but we need something to play together otherwise she gets bored.
  9. Was it just me or did those last five minutes feel like the last few mins of the Norwich game when we were in the Prem?
  10. Thanks Barney... Forte's two goals (and one in the last game) were all scored when I was in the bathroom....was beginning to think I'd spend the rest of the season in there.
  11. Sorry about that - just noticed your email address and have sent you the address.
  12. The ticket office have been really helpful and communicative via email -I can't remember the main ticket address but its on the website. I tried to send you a PM with the address of the lady that helped me but I'm unable to as a non-full member.
  13. Great positive result and day; we didn't panic when we couldn't break down Sheffield Wednesday which I feel is important. We were patient and turned a few opportunities we created into goals, kept a clean sheet, didn't pick up any more yellow cards (especially for Chaplow and Hammond) and some of our competitors didn't fair so well. Lallana, Lambert, Oxo and Barnard all played well and with goals coming from lots of different players at the moment it must make it harder for the opposition to plan on closing us down, though Wednesday did seem to constrict us in the middle yesterday. It seemed we were playing a diamond midfield in the first half and created overlaps or more width in the second half. Or maybe it was my dodgy internet connection. We won, I'd have taken a 1-0 win before kick-off, and I'm happy.
  14. Visiting the UK and will be attending Walsall home game.
  15. Apparently our game against the Owls is on Sky Sports on Saturday. I imagine I'll be hunched around my laptop watching via VIPstand - great find Memphis. Cheers. I've got it working on my PC but Mac requires a separate paid software download weirdly.
  16. RLGM! Was getting slightly concerned he'd score nun today....
  17. I love nuns and Saints wins.
  18. Jeezuz - the Hillibillies are scoring goals like Saints were for a couple of weeks there. Nice dude.
  19. You mean I won't have to sit hunched over a laptop peering at two games a season on my laptop (e.g. Peterborough and Wednesday) or Sky Sports Live score center and this forum I'll be happy.
  20. Congratulations! How long have you been playing?! Saw your oppo had 41k spectators - that's one hell of an investment. Couple of quick questions - is it worth starting up a youth team, if so how much should be invested? How do I become supporters of fellow Saintsweb users teams? Do I need to sign up for Hattrick Supporter package to do so?
  21. Exactly what I thought when watching the United game when he gave the ball away a couple of times but he also positively influenced the shape in midfield and helped set the tempo of our build up and attack. As I rarely get to watch our games, I often catch myself making comparisons to Saints teams and players I was able to see. Excited to see us in May - hoping to get to the Walsall game. Wish we had another Shilton...
  22. Excellent, got it today thanks Ribbo. I'll send out my wide eyed 17 year olds for exposure in the big time
  23. Signed up in January - NY LeTissier in VI.388. As its mid season I'm buying 17 year olds training them in playmaking and trying to make some cash - I'm skint! Anyone fancy a friendly? Or is it worth me dropping this team and joining one of your leagues?
  24. From that description I'd probably recommend Brooklyn. New York City is a tough place to bring kids up in, a majority of my friends that have gone through this tend to move out of the city when the children turn 3 or 4. Put it this way, I live in a really nice building with a gym, tennis courts etc but there's only one small playground which is next to a bus depot and immediately next to a dog run. Its not exactly inviting. Now that the snow has been on the ground for a while we also realise we've actually surrounded by a giant wee-pad for dogs hahaha. Brooklyn is south of the city and an easy commute into lower Manhattan where your wife will work. Alternatively, if she's a hardy soul you might consider Long Island. I know that Darrell Crane, who used to use the handle NYC Saint lives out there now with his wife.
  25. http://www.everythingon.tv/ - has almost every channel and is a little slow and not great picture quality but for free it will do. I used it every day for the Ashes, and each over would be bookended with Indian commercials - very entertaining. http://www.vipstand.me/sports/football.html - is incredible and has been my new Brit TV watching companion, I'm not sure they have Sky Sports 2 though... Others to consider in a panic, I know I start to get a little nervous if I haven't found a stream with a few minutes to go - I hate being late for the start as I somehow feel I jinx it when I join late, as the oppo scores.
