  1. come on saints....let's do the business today.
  2. He really isn't.
  3. Why do you have to try and be ''controversial'' in every thread Hypo? You used to be a decent poster.
  4. Good one guys, looking forward to a stable site.
  5. I'd say I'm in the middle somewhere too. I was very frustrated after our draw against Hartlepool and the result the other night - It's made our task much harder, but I still believe we can do it. I didn't expect this league to be the walk in the park some were expecting, as I remember the trouble that Forest and Leeds had in getting out of this league. The pressure and expectation on us from day 1 was massive and it's only going to get worse as the season goes on. I think we have the players, the personalities and the leaders - maybe not as vocal as other teams, but this club always wins when it is do or die, we always manage to have storming runs at the end of a season....lets hope it's the same this year, a last day promotion on a summers day at home is what it's all about. I'm sure we'll get there in the end.
  6. I don't think anyone is accepting the Walsall result, It was a stinker, a shocker - an awful result. Maybe not an awful performance, but that sort of result is not good enough for us now - this is the run in and we have very little margain for error. Leeds had a bad patch (similar to charltons atm) around this time last season and they slipped down to 4th at one point - but they still managed to scrap the points together to get promoted, because of the start they had to the season. Unfortunatley for us - we had a bad start and we haven't got those points to fall back on, which is why every result is now critical for us. We don't have many more oppertunities, I make it that we can only afford 2 more defeats, 4 draws and the rest wins out of our remaining games. I'm still positive that we can do it and i hope the Walsall result is a massive kick up the ********, but I can understand why people are a bit worried.
  7. That's what gets me with him, I'm not moaning at him for not going to games or saying I'm a better fan than him - but I can't see how someone can make such a strong statement when they don't listen or watch us play. We've not been on top top form recently, but I don't think the world is falling apart as some would like to think.
  8. I believe we will win this, and we'll win it well. Results will go our way in other fixtures, with a few surprises, and we enter the mid-week game against Yeovil ready to win and totally put the pressure on.
  9. You just love it don't you Alpine? Basking in our failure, you completely come out of your shell. If we fail to go up you will be the most active poster, I'm sure of that ''I told you this, I told you that etc etc...'' You go on about others respecting your opinions and ask people to stop calling you names, and there you go generalising saying things like ''look at the happy clappies'' ''all the stupid positive thinkers''. I don't know what to make of you, you just feed off negativity and failure.
  10. Odd thread. As has been said, whoever finishes 2nd after 46 games deserves it - because over 46 games they have accumulated enough points to do so. So to put it simply for certain people - if we finish 2nd now and Bournemouth don't, it's because we've deserved it and have accumulated more points than them over the course of the season. But hey, what do I know.
  11. We really have to win this one. I'd take a **** performance and a 1-0 OG off Llloyd Jame's backside right now.
  12. The question was put to Adkins last night. I think he's going to be forced into the market, especially in central midfield. I have a horrible feeling we won't see Morgan again this season.
  13. I think that's part of the reason, but I think the reason they can play that way is because they’re relaxed in their games, they didn't come into this season with massive expectations or pressure on their shoulders. We are in a similar position as the Nottingham Forests/Wednesdays/Leeds of the world - a big club which has a talented squad, but is playing with the pressure of the world on its shoulders and you can never get any consistency with that. Forest/Wednesday and Leeds stuttered getting out of this league, but they all made it in the end (unfortunately Wednesday came back down again though...). I just hope we do it this year.
  14. More like ''If you don't win 6-0 every game, whilst being dominant for the entire 90mins, then you will be dismissed''
  15. Injured suprisingly. A real shame - when he first came here I thought he'd be a clever signing for us and put his injury troubles behind us, but he'll probably retire at the end of the season. He's totally finished.
  16. Bad news - esp. with Morgan looking like he may be out long term, and no idea on the injury status to Guly....we may get to see Fonte in midfield after all!
  17. Look, i'm defending him but trying to be realistic. I find it odd that you've picked my post to quote when there are some pretty embarassing posts in this thread. We have dropped out of the top 2/3 in the form table and are now around 10th in recent weeks. We have not lost many, but we have dropped silly points in draws recently. But other than that he's done well for us.
  18. Bit hash to include Guly seeing as he didn't play last night. I'd also be inclined to give Dany a few more games yet before jumping in the crap camp.
  19. There were people questioning his ability when we won 4-1 and had a bad 30min patch in the middle. No manager has a chance with our fan base.

    Adkins

He hasn't been, but for an interesting view point he thought we'd look at our form after that game - seeing as the Mk Don's match is an unfair one to put on him anyway, it was still a Wlkins team and Wilkins selected the 11.
  21. So you just made a sweeping statement yourself, how do you know how many games i've been to? I have been to most games under adkins, not all away, but that's such a stupid post to make and I expect better from someone like you. FYI I don't have a season ticket because I couldn't afford the upfront payment, but I have been to every game anyway. That must make me a super duper fan!!!!! And what was wrong with my post anyway? It's totally true. For some reason certain people don't like to admit it. I like to look at results rather than performances by the way, and in results terms this is our first bad patch under him. We have bizarre fans.
  22. He went to the game, his post tallies up with the radio commentary. It's not excuses, it's an honest assessments from someone at the game. It's still a **** result, but that post isn't full of excuses. It just annoys me when people that haven't gone to games believe they have a stronger opinion over the ones that attended the match.
  23. Lots of draws mangled in with that though, no real winning runs. Their forum was a similar place on Saturday after they threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Leyton Orient. Funny old league.
  24. It's still early days, but I was a little disappointed we didn't go that extra mile to sign another striker. Hope we don't regret it.
  25. It was a gamble, we didn't have any option and we needed to win that game. Oxo has been nursing a hamstring injury which is why he didn't start, they were hoping to get around 20mins from him at the end, but he wasn't fit enough to play much tonight.
