that was the worst 90mins of football i have ever watched in my entire life. It was inept, truy inept. Rooney looked like a conference player, no confidence, heavy touch, no pace. He's clearly not fit at all, probably playing at 40% fitness. Gerrard had the life strangled out of him to accommodate heskey, who did as much damage as a gust of wind. At least we had a bit of life with Sven managing us. Point of taking joe cole if you're not going to use him? SWP offers nothing, you'd thought he'd have learnt that by now. What a waste of a summer this has been.

he's doing better than just ok! it's a magnificent achievement what he's done there. He over performed with the squad in the CCC this season, but to get so close to the prem. after just being promoted to the champ is fantastic. next season will be different though, real expectation behind them. I'm sure he'll cope though, he's worked wonders there.

i know that there is a player in the academy at the moment that is ''very special'' - the club have been trying to keep him under wraps, but the coaching staff are so excited about him. wonder if this is the kid?

This makes things very interesting. The swiss can now go and top the group....spain will finish runners up without much trouble IMO, but the tough test is that they will possibly face Brazil in the last 16...

Good signing, instead of signing average players to create competition, we still sign the best this league has to offer. can't wait to see him play. Got a feeling we may seem him opperating in front of harding, with Lallana pushing to the right.

You’ve also got development of land, the SFC Catering Company and the possible development of Jackson’s farm. That is all designed to make money and offer a return on his investment. I'm not saying it's true, but an out of town 55k stadium with shops/cinema on the complex would offer alot more return than the current site. Personally I think Cortese is acting in the wishes of Markus and also what's best for the club, I don't see him disregarding fans as he'd be putting himself on a road to nowhere and I’m sure he realises that. I can see why people may query his interests though; he does come across as a very brash personality - very driven and not particularly friendly or approachable. So I can see why some people may read that as not being particularly bothered about the fans, but i don't think that's really the case.

He will not leave. The club will hold out for silly silly money that clubs will not pay, esp. since they've just done an expensive campaign with him heading up the new kit.

good shout. Hopefully one that hides avatars as well, the amount of times i've been caught at work looking at this...with MB's old avatar bobbing up and down on the screen.

They're like the opposite of us. Alot of their players struggle at club level (Klose/Gomez/Poldoski) - yet when it comes to the world cup they suddenly look like world beaters. I knew i made the right move putting Klose in my fantasy team, probably should have scored more tonight - but he'll always get chances.

I think it would have been different if he'd made that mistake in a knockout game though, and we'd lost because of it. I doubt he'd have come out and spoken then. Luckily this result shouldn't mean a great deal once we get maximum points in our next 2. Would i drop him? i don't really know - is there anyone better than him? the 2 keepers that would replace him also carry worries for me (fitness/inexperience). Our GK situation is awful, we literally have no European/international quality keepers at all.

I'm not suprised by this response at all. Is there anything you actually like about this club?

well it was always going to be our original kit, so i'm not sure why people are moaning about it? it's not like they've tweaked and updaetd the old design - they have litterally gone back to the first kit with a nice retro look. I cannot see the big deal as we all expected this anyway. I believe the people that dislike it are in the complete minority.
