  1. Surprised more teams weren't all over Evans at that price - it's apparently two instalments of £1.75m. For a club struggling with a leader at the back I'm also surprised we didn't have a sniff. I assume we're calm and relaxed about the situation though. I know it's crazy to think, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised for the club to think CB is covered and assume that Bedernak, Hoedt, Yoshida and Stephens are enough, with Alfie Jones as the 5th.
  2. He's clearly a talented player, but he's a youtube player if I've ever seen one...! Needs to impact himself more when things aren't going too well, there seems to be certain weaknesses in his game that really show through in a struggling side. In reality, with his ability, he should have stood out like a sore thumb last year (and to be fair, he did in a few games).
  3. Moved to flawless myself months ago. Ultimate and sports mania were proving a tad too sketchy for me. Flawless is as the name suggests!
  4. They've been served a winding-up order by HMRC. As long as they follow the Skates rules, they'll be fine.
  5. what the actual. It must have been a pre-arranged fee on the loan or something, and they had to excerise the option to buy. Otherwise that's a crazy way to run a football club.
  6. Nah, not much going on there. Poor signing.
  7. Brighton pushing to sign Paddy McNair from Sunderland (why...?). £3.5m rejected. Apparently Sunderland want closer to £10m+ Football is done.
  8. Which I think we all knew at the time was club spiel, distributed to their favourite journos to try and appease the fans. I remember the chatter when we sold VVD. We wanted Mawson, Promes, Wallcott, Tosun to name but a few - those names were also linked to our favoured journos. The fact is that we ended up splurging £20m on someone not suited to us what so ever.
  9. About as ITK as my left nostril.
  10. It's all about to come crashing down for Chelsea, imo.
  11. Contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on, as we're all too aware. If Madrid want him, they'll get him. It's only allowed Spurs to ask for silly £££ really.
  12. Wenger to Madrid anyone...? That would wind the gunners up.
  13. I bet Spurs fans are a bit nervous right now...
  14. I personally think he's the wrong sort of player they need. They need pace in attacking midfield, they're too pedestrian. I don't think Arnautovic is what I'd call quick.... Bale would be perfect for them if they're after an attacking midfielder type.
  15. It is crazy really. They paid £10m for him, he became a backup player and then surplus. Goes out on loan to the NPC. And is now worth more than they paid for him. They'll be laughing.

    Cedric

He's not an appaling footballer, just pretty average. I wouldn't be against losing him and getting a fresh replacement in there. If this is the standard of player Arsenal are now looking at then their fans best start to reassses their expectations.
  17. wtf is it with our media. We destroy players in the buildup to every world cup or euro, then the same media ***** and complain and demand a full grassroots enquiry when we fail. The media are scum.
  18. Ramos is absolutely dirty as ****, bit of a scum player really. Would have annoyed me if he'd done the same to one of our players. But as with anything connected with Liverpool, they're going OTT about it and attributing everything that happened to this actions. At the end of the day, you're not going to win the CL with Jordan Henderson crabbing around in midfield, Salah or no Salah. And you're also not going to win the CL if your goalkeeper throws it in the net, twice. So whilst I can understand why they are aggrieved by Ramos, that was certainly not the reason they lost and they need to forget it
  19. It was already agreed for this summer, no? *cough*
  20. And he has said something equally as off script.... ''I've enjoyed Real Madird. I'll speak to the fans in a few days''
  21. Love the fact that it was Bale who put them out. Made in Southampton.
  22. Lallana looking proper out of his depth here.
  23. That's only pretty poor if you expect us to have Poch, Pep or Klopp. The fact is that his record is pretty much tied in with the natrual position of our club.
