That's a much weaker wolves them than I was expecting. No Neves, Costa, Jota...
-
Hoj must be injured, surely....? Given that Stephens is playing in CM and there's no sign of him on the bench..!!!
-
His interviews are so much more listenable. If only we hadn't dropped such a huge bollock with Puel. I guess we were due one.
-
''You'll be our 2nd choice CB alongside your international team mate, Virgil'' Harsh on both Stephens and Yoshida, but they'll still get game time. I think Hoedt is good enough to go straight in and upgrade our defense. This transfer window reminds me of MP's first summer window. We bought players who were upgrades on the current squad - Wanyama and Lovren. Lemina and Hoedt fall into a similar category in my opinion.
-
He'll be third choice there though, he replaces Pao Lopez who they had on loan last year. It's Lloris, Vorm and Gazza in that order I'd have thought. Not a bad job being a third choice keeper!
-
It's a shame we only ever saw him perform in Euro 2004. He was electric in that tournament, but he never, ever reached those heights again.
-
I have a sneaky feeling we'll get Vietto on loan with a view to buy at the end of the window. He still hasn't left Atleti, they have said he's surplus - so he will have to leave. They want about £20m for him, but no club is willing to pay it - come nearer the end of the window, I reckon they'll accommodate a loan.

Absolutely, typical really. I think this Wolves team is better than a few PL sides to be honest.
-
Given the huge cut he had from Saturday, I'd be very surprised...!
-
Barca haven't gone away yet so it seems...
-
Would expect to see the likes of Targett, Mcqueen, Mccarthy, Long, Austin, Hoj, Bedranak etc. Possibly with the extra quality of JWP/Redmond/Boufal/Yoshida sprinkled around the side. Apparently Wolves will be pretty much full strength as well. Neves, cavaliero, Jota, Costa........some proper top level players in their side.

You mean clubs know the fee they got for Siggy.... yeah, probably that. But I'd tell them to do one at that price. This is why I like our approach and always will prefer it, no matter what people say. Occasionally you'll need to buy British and over pay (as we did with Long at the time) but there are proper bargains out on the continent if you have a decent scouting network. (most at at least half the cost). Just feels wrong that Swansea are going to waste a good % of their Siggy fortune on Clucas. I thought he was a young player, but he's actually 26/27....!

Lazio already have one of the main dutch CB's on their books - De Vrij, but he wasn't really backup for them in my eyes. He played around 25/26 games last year and started to form a decent partnership with De Vrij, both internationally and domestically. He was seen as a growing prospect who would become their nailed on first choice within time, but he wanted guaranteed game time right now - which is why Lazio have reluctantly allowed him to leave. By all accounts, he wasn't seen as surplus to requirements there - quite the opposite, it's just that he wanted a new experience.
-
They also have De Vrij remember, who is a very, very talented centre back. Hoedt, VVD and De Vrij are their standouts. Maybe they play 3 at the back....
-
West Ham would pay £20m for him. We should try it.
-
Well, in hindsight....
-
Well, they both signed anyway. So what's your worry?
-
Midfielder Philippe Coutinho will miss the second leg of Liverpool's Champions League play-off against Hoffenheim on Wednesday with illness. Why can't clubs just be honest? Why do they have to make that up? Just say he's going to miss the tie, done. He's obviously not ill, in the same way he obviously didn't have a bad back last week either.
-
Speaks very good english.
-
We've just signed Lemina and Hoedt, both young international players with big pedigree. If you think being seen as a 'stepping stone' has anything to do with us being able to sign players then you are daft.
-
They are so special up there. The coutinho thread is the polar opposite to the VVD thread, everything they're *****ing about Barca doing, they're doing themselves. Weird, weird club. Always the victims.
-
Hard to find to be honest, I'm not sure they have actually played together.
-
I like how the OS statement says ''Alongside his international team mate, Virgil''
