Over 1000 tickets unsold, club calling round past customers trying to flog tickets and hospitality right up to last minute. The fact they struggled for Manchester United will hopefully mean they realise price is wrong. Southampton is not London, there's not an endless supply of people willing to handover that sort of cash.
-
Still loads of tickets left for this especially in blocks 10, 18 and 28, not surprisingly at the rip off prices. Going for 1-2 defeat again, can't see us scoring more than 1 and against decent opposition our defence isn't going to keep another clean sheet.

Don't think tickets will be a problem at all, last time was easy and that was a Saturday bubble, the logistics of a midweek one will put a lot off. In fact if you don't live in Southampton getting home that night will be a challenge. A week of rivalries will be good playing Bournemouth on the Friday night as a warm up to this one. We haven't won at Fratton in a competitive fixture since 1984, long overdue.

Good chance to get some momentum and get another win, Fulham play away to Cardiff on Friday and will also make lots of changes. Will be a strange atmosphere, the whole side stand nearest the away fans is in the process of being knocked down and Fulham have only sold about 3000 in rest of the ground. No idea why they didn't give us more tickets and just make the whole Putney end the away allocation. Saints u23 play Liverpool on Monday night so we'll have an idea on who will feature depending on the line up for that.

There are loads of tickets left, probably couple of thousand, quite rightly at £65 quid a go for a lunchtime televised game a lot of fans are voting with their feet. Yesterdays win will help shift a few more tickets and weather forecast is good so short notice sales will be there but for me there's no way I'd pay such rip off prices.

What's great about this option is it gives the club the opportunity to plss off saints fans in another stand after putting gobby flash big mouths in executive boxes behind Itchen North supporting the away side. I'm afraid the club could do with a reality check and a season in the Championship. They are so complacent and couldn't care less about the long standing loyal fans. Our total spend per visit must disappoint them.

I noticed on the saints hospitality page there is an option now for a gasworks package, £150 per person, unlike normal tickets you don't need to be on the database to buy to see the big clubs, basically if you pay enough our greedy club with take your money and turn a blind eye to glory hunting away fans in home section, not sure when in Kingsland the seats are. The Gasworks is located in the Kingsland Stand, and is an urban sports bar, with ample seating in the hub of the ground. Avoid the pre game rush and relax at half time in our centrally located lounge, taking advantage of our tasty american themed menu. Your Gasworks package includes: Pre-match drink (soft drink, wine or beer) Pre-game, Half-time and Full-time access to the lounge Central premium seating in the Kingsland Stand Complimentary Matchday magazine Sky & BT across 35 TV screens Cash Bar access Opportiunity to purchase from American diner menu

Decent side but inconsistent, Mitrovic could be banned and there's no way they will be full strength with Cardiff away on Friday night a few days later.

Long loves a physical battle and goes down after drawing a challenge, his finishing lets him know but in terms of running and putting pressure/ making a challenge he’s good at that.
-
I'd rather Long than Obafemi, much more of a nuisance and can physically compete with Van Dijk who'd think twice before going into a challenge with him.

Don't think we will, only going on what my mate tells me but apparently as the building work has closed off parts of the ground they have home season ticket holders in putney end blocks 1-4 who will be able to buy their usual seat for this game. Block 7 is closed for the season so looks like we're stuck with our allocation of blocks 5 + 6. Rubbish considering we had 5k there a couple of years ago, but that was FA cup and they gave us the neutral section that doesn't exist anymore.
-
Plenty of examples of clubs who have done that, Aldershot, Maidstone, Hereford.
-
I asked my Fulham mate why, he said its because they only have 3 stands with the riverside stand being knocked down so ground capacity currently only 19k , they've reduced allocations for teams in the league as well. Having said that there will be thousands of empty seats in the home end so if need be getting a ticket in their bit shouldn't be too hard.
-
Think they've got an issue with match tickets as well, no membership cards or print at home available so a lot more printed tickets than normal , i called up to say 2 weeks after puchase no ticket had arrived so they are sorting out a duplicate, sounds like they have quite a few like that.

Date is confirmed, also Fulham are charging £15 adults, £10 over 65/ under 21, £5 under 18, would expect it to be same for us.

They will definitely give us the whole end if we want it, there won't be many home fans there as they usually get small crowds for this competition, hopefully £10 tickets and make it straight to general sale, we won't take more than 3000 anyway.
-
All the minnows will be looking at the list hoping to draw us or West Ham for a money spinning glamour tie. Could do with a kind draw to get us back to winning ways. We'll probably get Crystal Palace at home and lose.
-
I agree, not looking forward to it, losing to a club i hate, St Marys will have plenty of day trippers there to see the European champions, £50 behind the goal, £65 on the side , crazy prices , we'll probably score early and have it ruled out by VAR

Dan N'Lundulu only came to my attention attending some u23 games at the end of last season but i was very impressed, especially in the Newcastle play off game. Strength, power, decent strike of the ball, if he keeps this up will deserve a first team appearance.

For those making the journey apparently we’re in the privileged position of being the first away side to visit after renovation of the away end this summer , exciting times https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/news/2019/august/supporter-notice--information-on-new-ladbrokes-stand-seats/

Yeah I remember the Arsenal Europa league game when they had 20k or so fans matching around London and storming the gates at the Emirates trying to get in, can’t see a repeat of those scenes but I’ve heard that’s why they’ve not put the chapel stand on sale , it’s being kept as an overflow for Koln just in case
-
Yeah that Monchengladbach thrashing was a shambolic performance under Hughes, the warning signs were there for what was to come. Any German football enthusiasts able to give us an insight on what to expect from FC Koln? Not many tickets sold for the game, probably be 15k there with walk ups so the opposition hasn't captured the imagination, hopefully a few away fans travel to create a bit of atmosphere.
-
Agree, usually buy it for a birthday gift first week of July. It sounds like it won’t even be ready for the start of the season not sure how they can still charge full price for a time limited product. Bit of a shambles really.

I like Shane Long but he went downhill after recording the terrible “we are Southampton” song that was played before matches.
