I was hoping he’d stay for a couple more season to complete 10 years in the Premier league, joint testimonial with James Ward-Prowse, current Saints v Premier league era XI. I remember the calamity of his debut coming on away to Arsenal in 6-1 defeat , didn’t seem to know where to stand to defend a corner, not surprising when he had Jos Hooveld, Danny Fox and Kelvin flapper Davis alongside him at that game. Been a great buy for a low fee.

When we had Palace at home they were supposed to be missing half their first team, if anything this would make it more likely for Wolves to play deep rather than attack us, we struggle to break teams down like that, would definitely need the first goal.

Perhaps they read this forum or have seen negative comments on social media but looks like £10 price extended to 3pm today to include members https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2019-20/fa-cup/saints-v-spurs-2020-01-25/ticket-info Once season ticket holder seats unpurchased are released at 9am there will be loads of availability.

There's a good pic from this game in 'In The Number ' book with a mini pitch invasion from the lower West benches when we get our equaliser . Cup runs under the lights at The Dell were amazing.
-
Not sure if this has changed but looks like members can also get the £10 price up until 3pm today , I'm sure previously this showed the price going up after season ticket sales. Anyway bound to be loads available at 9am once season ticket seats not purchased are released , good that lower price is extended to members https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2019-20/fa-cup/saints-v-spurs-2020-01-25/ticket-info

I think the club has outsourced ticket office activity to business studies students at Southampton college as some of the decisions they make show they are making it up as they go. My theory is we take these small allocations in the hope it will sell out to season ticket holders creating the perception that you have to have a season ticket to access away matches in the misguided hope it will help sell more season tickets. I’ve lost count of the number of people who have asked about spares for palace next week, full allocation there is only 2700 we’d have easily sold that. The 3000 allocation for West Ham away already close to selling out, bet we’d have taken a small allocation there as well if we could (but West Ham can’t split due to segregation so must just offer the whole lot)

Sounds like Traore isn’t injured, but that game last night seemed to take it out of Wolves who looked tired and now without a win in 5. After they play us they’ve got Liverpool midweek so doesn’t get any easier. Think they’ll try and frustrate us and hit us on the break, we’ve had all week to prepare but I’ve got a feeling we’re due a bad performance to bring us back to reality after the recent good run, this game could be similar to West Ham at home.
-
They tired as the game went on but looked dangerous at times, even Wolves fans seem surprised they didn’t make any outfield changes from the weekend with just the keeper getting a rest, not much recovery time before the weekend and another game without a win for Wolves.

You'd hope most of the Northam will take block 3 in Itchen to keep a concentrated area for atmosphere, quite a few will go to Kingsland north as well. The jump of price to double from season ticket holders to members seems a bit unnecessary.
-
Agree, all we actually 'Have' to give them is all of block 42, seat in block 41 is usually then on the boundary with getting (segregation can come out of their allocation so we only need to give them just over 4500) Instead saints have said stuff it lets just give them the whole stand , probably makes it easier for someone in ticket office, spurs will bring 5300 take over town, dominant atmosphere , it's going to be f*cking shlt this cup tie. With Mourinho going for it with strongest team we'll lose despite the best efforts of Yoshida and Gunn. Big thumbs down from me, absolute useless cretins running the club.
-
It's an odd one, kids a quid but also a cat A game so £50 a ticket in block 28 for example , plenty of those seats left not surprisingly at that price, the areas where £1 kid tickets are available (wings / behind goal) are mostly sold out now though. Wolves sold all their 3,337 allocation.

I think Bournemouth are capable of putting a run together, absolutely massive next weekend away at Norwich, got a feeling they'll win that.

Tough game, I'd take a point. 6 pointer for a Europa spot, we're only 3 points behind Wolves who sit in 7th. Wolves have a replay on Wednesday night away to Man Utd. Wolves season started in July in Europa league qualifiers, I saw a graph of "Most minutes played this season", which was dominated by Wolves players as they haven't made so many changes for Europa group games. They've got more to come with Espanyol over two legs in the next round. Will be interesting to see if they tire later on in the season. Crazy to think this way but we're in a battle for Europe now, just 4 points behind Sheff Utd in 6th.
-
We don’t need to match that, we’re only 3 points off 7th now and we play Wolves in a 6 pointer next week followed by another 6 pointer with Palace, if a top 5 side wins the fa cup then 7th will get Europa, definitely possible to get that.

Southgate tends to like youngsters so he might prefer to go with Abraham and Sancho up front. If Ings does get in the squad for the summer he would have timed it well,England have a good chance of winning the Euros on home soil, we’d have to give him most of pre season off to recover though. Ings already has one England cap so he’ll want to get off the one cap wonder list. Might sound biased but if we keep this form up until the squad is announced in March I’d expect call ups for Alex McCarthy, Ryan Bertrand, Jack Stephens and James Ward-Prowse as well.
-
Nah you seem like a proper oddball with vendetta against Echo rather than feeling sad about George O'Brien, your posts are all over the place. I have no idea about this story but I doubt they just prank families by posting obituaries, something seems strange about this whoever told the echo is probably who you want to be angry with.
-
Next England games aren't until the end of March, long way to go until then, if Ings is still on form and banging them in he'll deserve a call up and hopefully we'll have enough points by then and virtually safe. Would be good for him to get in the squad and keep his place for the Euros, winning them on home soil.

We’ve been at home on the same day as the Skates several times so that’s not a condition for moving the game, there’s been at least one occasion already this season and both teams are at home on 15th Feb. What frustrates me is the way cup games get moved around for tv (already 7 games) then moved get moved for “overseas picks”, absolutely no need for that, they are allowed to show live games at 3pm Saturday abroad so just leave them as they are. They moved loads of games in the 3rd round to Sunday then wondered why attendances were down.
-
Yes.
-
Unfortunately the FA have completely devalued the competition by moving games around for overseas coverage to add to the many games already moved for domestic coverage so there is still a chance we'll end up on a different day. "Matches selected for extended highlights and overseas broadcast coverage will be announced in due course. "

This is one game where we really need to regain some pride, God knows what Leicester fans must think but so far this season we've bent over for a 9-0 defeat and now we're turning up for a Saturday 3pm away game taking the smallest possible 1200 allocation (which sold out weeks before the game) that puts us in the same noddy club category or Fulham, Wigan, Bournemouth who take pitiful numbers away. Play for some pride and battle and we could sneak a draw, but Leicester to win with Vardy to score any time seems the most likely winning bet.
-
Game seems to be sold out already.
-
It was beating Spurs 1-0 on New year's day I think you meant, but yes good omen. Wasn't there something about the 2003 cup run about every team we drew had animal link as nickname, we're still on for that having played the Terriers. Better start planning for Wembley in May.
-
Well they definitely won't have Saints v Spurs and Bournemouth v Arsenal on the same day, we'd have to play our strongest team to stand a chance of going through. Wonder if they'll wait for replay to confirm ticket details, be good to have cheap tickets again.

I think I'll skip the skates for this round, let's have Oxford away will be decent, then Skates in the 5th round which is midweek this year due to the "winter break". We've got Palace away midweek before the 4th round so no doubt another changed XI so we'll have to draw someone rubbish again to get through. Oxford, Northampton, Coventry, or maybe QPR / Millwall will do. Avoid other Premier league clubs.
