    FA Cup build up

Huddersfield are now managed by the Cowley brothers who have a strong record in this competition taking underdogs on cup runs so if we're complacent could end up losing or even a replay. Let's get the job done and win first time. Huddersfield have a small first team squad and a few injuries so hopefully after busy Christmas period they also play some youngsters. Lots of kids going at £1 a ticket, don't want to put them off with a defeat.
  2. Completely agree was a clear pen. Mike Dean is a terrible ref, clearly biased today and often is against us.
  3. He played well, is he now allowed to sign a deal with foreign clubs as only 6 months left on his contract?
  4. Bournemouth are only 5 points behind us and play Watford, Norwich and Brighton in their next 3 league games so could quite easily be back above us soon, impossible to predict relegation spots this season, so many inconsistent sides. Pearson has worked wonders at Watford, really turned them around.
  5. Bournemouth have Watford, Norwich and Brighton in their next 3 league games, that's their chance to get out of this bad run.
  6. Its looking that way at the moment, even the bottom side will end up with more points than usual, should make it an entertaining 2nd half of the season if there's not much between 5th and 18th, we're still capable of a bad run, got to try to keep this momentum going and get points on the board
  7. After playing the same back 4 across a busy Christmas period it seems a shame to change it but it's inevitable we'll play a B side. Hopefully it will be enough to get past a struggling Huddersfield side who got beaten 2-5 At home to Stoke today. Ticket sales look like we'll get about 15k i reckon, won't be many in the away end they've only sold about 500, long journey down just after Christmas.
  8. Is Gazzaniga definitely still going to be in? I thought Lloris was due back soon, we had a bit of luck home to Spurs last season but can't see it this time, 1-2 defeat similar to away game. Kane will score 100%. West Ham v Bournemouth will be interesting , could do with that being a draw.

    Leicester away

We took smallest possible allocation for Crystal palace as well, which also sold out weeks in advance, I do wonder if the club are keen for away tickets to appear difficult to get to encourage people to be season ticket holders to keep access to away tickets. The club will argue they don't want to take financial risk. Usual premier league process is first batch of tickets available sale or return, but next batch for bigger allocations on guaranteed sale basis so if we don't sell them the club loses money. The fact we sold out 3000 for Villa Saturday before Christmas shows we can take good numbers away.
  10. Going to be a tough game this, Palace are good away from home and play counter attacking style that we struggle with at St Mary's, I'd definitely take a draw. Looking at the upcoming fixtures hopefully we can replicate the same results as last season (Palace H drew, Spurs H won, Leicester A won, Wolves H won, Palace A won) , 13 points and safe by end of Jan if we did that.
  11. Michael o'Bafemi obviously from the Rebublic of Ireland. Took his goal very well , he's bound to get some more minutes with so many games coming up.
  12. I've not seen press conference but surely Boufal is training and fit to play now, he stubbed his toe weeks ago, something doesn't seem right with that. Shame Long is injured, he has made a difference recently creating space for Ings.
  13. You could argue we were even more open in our 9-0 loss at home to Leicester. Great to be out of the bottom 3 but unfortunately it’s unlikely we’ll stay there for long, Villa’s next games against Norwich and Watford, hopefully draws in those games. Our next few games are really tough can’t see us getting many points from Chelsea, Palace, Spurs, Leicester in the next 4.
  14. West Ham won there, Bournemouth won there, Sheffield United drew, who knows we'll most likely lose but let's give it a go.
  15. Exactly what I was thinking, very few natural athletes in the side, over run, bullied by West Ham physically, just not good enough.
  16. Down down down down down down Players look championship Crowd looks championship with tons of empty seats Game thoroughly predictable so far, completely overrun by Antonio.
  17. Come off it. I need to get 7 tickets, will do it all online, no postage required or work by TO staff, £1.25 PER TICKET booking fee , daylight robbery. If it was £1.25 per order that might make sense, not per ticket.
  18. Agree , low attendance serves them right, a seat near the half way line is going for a bargain er £65... plus £1.25 booking fee! Book soon to avoid disappointment.
  19. Loads of tickets left for this, relegation battle on tv but still considered 'Category A' match , £25 for an under 18 behind the goal
  20. When did we last beat West Ham at home? They love coming to St Mary's, have won down here loads of times. I f*cking hate Newcastle away, terrible away end stuck up in the Gods, never seems to be on a Saturday 3pm, we always gift them goals, bl00dy Andy Carroll always does for us. My honest opinion, still think this Saints side will go down.
  21. Got to laugh really, he's having time of his life lifting silverware as Man of the match in a cup final and us mugs are still paying most of his wages
  22. Surely our game is the bottom of the list for any tv choices, there are also some premier league and championship games on the Thursday night in the week building up to the game so that will be a few games that have to move, plus some London clubs who cannot be home on same day so hopefully those will be the Sunday games.
  23. They won’t bring many down from Huddersfield just after Xmas, definitely should be £10 adults £1 kids and at least try to make the ground look reasonably full, we’ve got 3 home games in a week with Palace and Spurs so can’t see many people wanting to pay out much for another game.
  24. Apparently our last 10 cup draws have all been away from home, so law of averages we are due a home one. Would love a minnow but we never seem to get those draws. I’ve still not got over the disappointment of missing out on Accrington Stanley away last season
  25. Yes early kick off and there is a train strike on SWR which might cause a problem for a few, last trains are earlier than usual. The Watford crowd was low under 27k, can see this being even smaller. I'll predict frustrating 1-1 Draw.
