  1. It’s a farce, I was going to buy a kids one as a birthday present (release date supposed to be 29th June, birthday was early July) so they’ve already lost one sale to me. I called the club shop they have no idea when it will be on sale and when I asked if in time for start of the season they just said “hopefully “ . When the product is so expensive and has a limited life of one year not sure how they can justify the price with such delays
  2. I remember being at the Saints Quiz at St Marys last season, supposed to be hosted by Le Tiss and Austin, start was delayed for quite a while as Austin hadn't shown up, then announced he wasn't going to make it due to personal issue, very odd and clearly organisers had no idea what was going on. We won't miss him, just hope there is a club out there gullible enough to buy him.
  3. Anyone know if the game in Austria tomorrow is going to be shown online?
  4. Good article that, can't fault Ralph's enthusiasm. Also confirms the trip to China is a waste of time, going for as short as possible and just taking a handful of first team players. Makes sense, experience will be good for youngsters and first team can concentrate on fitness at the Ireland training camp.
  5. He was very good for u23s towards the end of the season, just needs to learn when to release the ball, he won't get as much time on the ball in the Premier league
  6. Has ability, but the fa cup semi final performance still haunts me, on that basis if we get a decent offer lets twist and try a change.
  7. So if the fee is £5M we'll raise enough funds to cover Forster and Carillo's wages for a couple of months

    Jack Stephens

He's not as bad as many make out, he's still fairly young for a CB, played over 60 times for us inc key clean sheets like away to Liverpool in a cup semi final and i remember watching him score the winning goal for England u21s at St Marys. Definitely should be looking at minimum £10M transfer fee.
  9. I'm surprised there hasn't been more coverage of this, perhaps the new board will explain a bit more but on the face of it these cowboys have to be the strangest sponsorship deal in Premier league history. What exactly is it they are using our shirts to advertise? What happened to those claims people found online about being HQ in Southampton?

    Membership

It does seem a bit odd that a junior membership is £20 just to give you priority on buying tickets, whereas you can buy a junior season ticket for £19 giving you a ticket for every home game.
  11. I've not read the whole thread, but just to confirm - yes VAR is definitely a mistake. Main reason for disliking it- spontaneous limbs all over the place goal celebrations will become a thing of the past where in future fans will adapt to wait for confirmation that the goal stands followed by a muted cheer.
  12. Do they sell the ladies kit in mens sizes?
  13. Norwich at home on a Wednesday night in December live on the internet, they'll have to introduce a new even cheaper category of pricing for that one.

    Che Adams

Well Birmingham city have just lost another key forward player. "Aston Villa have signed Spanish attacker Jota from city rivals Birmingham for an undisclosed fee. The 27 year old has signed a two year contract with the premier league newcomers. Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has completed a move in the opposite direction on a three year deal. "
  15. The new Emmanuel Mayuka ?
  16. Hopefully as a goodwill gesture for illegally poaching our players who just won them the European cup Liverpool will let us off the £20M we need to pay them for Danny Ings
  17. Charlie Austin is a fat injury prone useless c*nt who hopefully will never play for us again. Let's hope some mugs like QPR will get him off our wage bill.
  18. The fact this game sold out so quickly is further evidence of the demand for football in our catchment area, the time to expand St Mary's is now. The fact that Saints legends Redmond and Ward-Prowse might be in the squad probably helped shift tickets as well.
  19. VAR is going to be a disaster for the game, i can already see myself attending more non league football instead of saints. Makes absolute sense when on an attack now to ignore the officials, put the ball in the net then let VAR decide. If you are running through on goal don't stop if flag is raised.
  20. Depending on their age it would be a lot cheaper to but them a season ticket each than a replica shirt, bit mad that
  21. Really enjoyed that last night, good game and the lads looked really committed, good team spirit as well. Vokins, Slattery and N'Lundulu were the stand out players for me. Shame to only get a crowd of 1,552 considering what was at stake in the game, nice weather and tickets were free.
  22. Some ups and downs, ups were definitely beating Spurs and Arsenal , actually winning some home games. Lows - some unbelievably shlte performances, Cardiff home / away, Huddersfield home, going out of both cups on pens and missing out of an away day to Accrington Stanley, we've got some very average players in the squad, tragic waste of wages with players out on loan and over reliance on youngsters from the academy, lucky Valery was able to step up
  23. Terrible game to add to the list of many other terrible games this season. I left bang on the final whistle, Ralph needs to learn for all his pre match talk of bond between players and fans if you serve up shlte like that you don't deserve a round of applause let alone a lap of appreciation. Should've made players go in the stands and let them give the fans a standing ovation for sitting through so much crap this season. let's hope for better next year.
  24. I've heard it's standard practice now for start up businesses to look to raise their profile by sposoring a multi-million pound premier league football deal before wasting budget setting up a website

    Non-Saints Games

Actually on reflection i did really enjoy the champions league escapades of our fellow Premier league teams, wonderful watching plucky Liverpool claiming glory against the odds, might stay at home sunday to follow the all important title decider games rather than our dead rubber v Huddersfield Town
