  1. you can get a train to peterborough in under an hour from london, there will be plenty of saints fans there to watch it with.
  2. This is better for us, if he had stayed in the U19s he would most likely have been a key player, with the U21s its more likely he'll just get a run out for last 15mins or so.
  3. I didn't say you can't talk about it, I just don't understand why you are bothered about it. There are loads of alternatives if you don't like the echo. The pink seemed decent on Sunday, there isn't even a sports paper dedicated to London clubs up here
  4. It is just a Newspaper, I really don’t understand why people get that wound up about it, I can’t imagine spurs fans posting on their forum just because the evening standard got something wrong. I don’t buy the echo as don’t live in Southampton, but got the pink on the way back on Sunday and thought it was decent coverage, better than most teams get from their local paper.

    Puncheon

Blackpool attacking line up of Beattie and Ormerod, with Puncheon and Euell supporting from midfield, arguably the best most exciting line up in the Premiership?
  6. if we do sign him how about we sing - Jonathan Forte baby, Jonathan Forte wwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….. ?
  7. I dont thnk any other club does that to be honest. you must have mates / work people / family who you can sell or pass the ticket onto? or people you currently sit next to at st marys who can buy it off you for a tenner to take a friend, thats what my group have done in the past.
  8. The most disappointing thing in all this is we now face having a couple of thousand empty seats in the ground, demand is out there for the game but saints have made it more complicated than neccessary. Got to bear in mind saints fans are generally out of the habit of having to purchase in advance, and with no membership scheme anymore. i think they should allow season ticket holders to buy extra seats just to ensure the ground is full.
  9. could even add on there, final sales one per person on database - unlinked, so people who have been before but who might not have the available cash now for paying for multiple games
  10. I think the club could have been clearer and more defined throughout the sales process. Significantly with this concept of linking to the carlisle game, and then subsequently allowing people to link to swindon / yeovil / any other home game currently on sale, they should have just said that up front. they need to get a better ticket office database system that many other teams have that allow them to sell online and limit purchase. e.g. sales window one - season ticket holders (obviously not linked to another game) sales window two - database customer with 5+ home games this season - not linked. sales window three - datebase customer with less than 5 home games - linked to one other home fixture from choice of three. sales window four - allow season ticket holders to purchase additional seats as trusted regular attendees (as before allowing x2 for the pompey game and the JPT final per season ticket holder) . I think they may have made this game a touch more complicated than needed and as such will end up with a couple of thousand unsold tickets.
  11. F&ck sake NO NO NO. absence may make the heart grow fonder but I think you need your memory testing, or maybe you are confusing him with someone else
  12. Adrian is right, he was dreadful verging on embarrassingly so, think I was at every game he played and he was a liability in almost every one
  13. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2277415,00.html it doesn't say, but must be a fair few left i reckon still. hopefully we sell out, will be embarrassing otherwise.
  14. yeah it was hilarious, having made such a fuss about giving us a reduced allocation after they let too many Leeds in for the previous home game Saints fans had to apply by post for the match, yet no restrictions were put on who could buy in the home end and subsequently there were loads!! the terrace end opposite us had a block taped off for saints fans in the home end to move into , quite stange really.
  15. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2276838,00.html I would recommend anyone going to get in the ground a bit earlier than normal to get a decent spot on the terrace, took a while queueing at the turnstiles last time, and once in you have to move right along the end and round the corner to get the burger stand / toilets.
  16. No problem mate, I met a few Norweigian saints fans on the pre-season tour 2007 and they were all good lads, you might have been one of them I don't know, but always good to see fans from other countries making the effort to travel over, I know there are Italian saints that travel over, Irish saints regularly fly over, and that is what makes us different from other league one clubs. Enjoy your trip and hopefully you can bring us a bit of luck, we will need it after the performance at Tranmere.

    London Saints

You don't HAVE to go to the carlisle game mate, you can link it to other games.
  18. I don't know about the incident that Alan 56 is referring to, but the policing was the most over zealous I've ever seen at football. If anyone witnessed the unprovoked arrest after tranmere's first goal in the block furthest to the right please pm me. An associate of mine may need assistance of witnesses in contesting it.
  19. F$ck off you clown we were just as poor at tranmere last season regardless of cup games get some minerals and stop creaming yourself over the cup game being a distraction you boring tw&t
  20. F&ck knows why any saints fan would want one of those!! You always see them on sale at international matches and champions league, can almost understand getting saints / steuea Bucharest one but not united, that makes us look like such a small club that playing them is such an event. Look at Leeds the other night for inspiration, just fill the ground with noisy passionate support we will be back to playing them every year again soon enough.
  21. still got Orient away on a saturday with 4k tickets mate, obviously potential for that one. We'll be in Peterborough fairly early so you there.
  22. to be fair problem coming up from Central that day as bus replacements to parkway (that might be part of your 3 1/2) . From Southampton will be faster doing M3, M25, A1M as long as those routes are ok you'll be there quickly. we have booked advanced fares out of kings cross and back on eastcoast trains, if you are thinking about that drop me a text, the trains we are booked on are available £20 return from Kings Cross at the moment.
  23. I find this very unlikely, the game will not be all ticket and you will be able to roll up on the day and go on the terrace, for most clubs in our league they wont even worry about advanced sales. with the number of games coming up and that fact this is on sky i cant see that many travelling, but just look at the quality of that terrace above and i can't understand why anyone would not want to be there. If we manage to get promoted this season and rise to the Championship this could almost be the last time we get to see saints from an old fashioned terrace at an away game and Peterborough's plans to knock down the stand at the end of the season reminds us of that. 5.20 kick off is actually quite good i think, can spend the day travelling up, no ridiculously early starts, can watch soccer saturday with the scores coming in before our match.

    Tranny build up

I doubt the skate will be waving his flag about again after getting a slap outside the ground after the game last year. I really hope we put on a performance would love to win there after the last two trips, hopefully we will have a decent following up there, looking forward to it.
  25. they can, i have mates who have bought United tickets and linked it to the Yeovil game instead, also they have let people link it to the Swindon game, but they are just not advertising it on the ticket news in the hope people will buy for Carlisle. Tell your friend to call up and get a united ticket linked to another home game that they can make.
