  1. Nice to prove that I don't talk total crap all of the time!
  2. There's a good few people at the club that should be patting themselves on the back at the moment. Outstanding result. Brilliant.
  3. Wayne Bridge could put a decent ball in. Austin will eat them up all day long.
  4. Just more crap from 'statistical analysis'. I am amazed that people buy all this garbage. Modern coaching seems to be invented in classrooms buy geeks with no playing experience, and then gets swallowed up by people who have to learn it for their licences. Look at how the modern goalkeeper is coached, punch everything and open your body up like a starfish whenever you can. You only have to look at how many keepers concede through their legs now compared to 25 years ago. As a keeper, letting one in through your legs was the cardinal sin, as well as conceding at your near post, but both are now normal thanks to 'modern coaching'. Cue the dinosaur comments.
  5. An England international but a Spurs reserve. Wouldn't pay £14m, but I do rate him.
  6. Bertrand's attacking ability might become an option once Gardos is match fit.
  7. I said it while we were on our bad run, and I'll say it again. Give Koeman a long contract and trust him. He is a top manager.
  8. Villa, Swansea, Sunderland/Norwich.
  9. You make a very good point
  10. Brilliant bit of business. Probably the best deal in the window. Well done Saints for completing this signing and making me look a bit of a **** in the process!
  11. Well said.
  12. Mr S Wonder was absolute dogsh*t reffing the Swansea game.
  13. Made them look crap. VVD and Fonte had their pair up front on their pockets. Clasie and Romeu excellent. Everyone did well, although Mane was a little sloppy at times but couldn't be faulted for effort. Just didn't happen for him. Funniest thing I heard was someone shouting at Gomes to punch it when taking a goal kick!
  14. Whoever we sign has to be good enough to go straight into the side. No more padding the squad.
  15. Billy Sharp was a short term buy that worked perfectly for us.
  16. Not that hard to see through is it.
  17. 2 corners that we nearly scored from and a free-kick that needed an unbelievable save to keep out. Not too shabby.
  18. Ron, at the end of the game on Saturday, we had Targett and JWP on the pitch, with Reed and Seager on the bench. Not too bad really. How many U21s did Palace have?
  19. He may be doing it for the good of the club if the board are pressuring him to play youth regardless of whether they are good enough or not.
  20. Lots of contributors to this thread obviously play a lot of Football Manager!
  21. You make some valid points. My main beef with the club is that they hide behind these platitudes, and Kruger makes 'motivational' speeches, when it is clear that what Ron really needs is a bit of funding. Koeman certainly can't be blamed for not playing youngsters, fact is, they're not good enough. We have been spoilt with decent young players in recent years. A barren spell is just the way it goes. I would, however, like them to be coached by people who learnt the game playing premiership football instead of ones that learnt it in a classroom listening to FA lectures from more people who never really played the game.
  22. Is that the same for players we buy then...
  23. Just watched the pitiful MOTD highlights again. Definitely Ward-Prowse corners that Long hit the post from, and Fonte missed a sitter from.
  24. To be fair FF, I'm not a fan of Ward-Prowse. But I can't moan at his contribution yesterday.
