  1. Good win. Thought we were a bit sloppy with our passing. VVD excellent, and I thought JWP looked good when he came on.
  2. So countries outside the EU have freedom of movement as a condition of trading? Poppycock.
  3. Any decent pubs near the ground?
  4. If we left, it wouldn't matter if they let Turkey in or not.
  5. Not much point having a player who wins the ball 20 times in a game and gives the ball away 20 times. Watched Morgan today, he is an absolute shadow of the player he was for us.
  6. I think Ron probably put the best side he could out yesterday. The only contentious decision was dropping Cedric. To slag him off for that is a bit much for me. How many were saying stick to 3 at the back before the game? How many moaned at the the time when Yosh came on after Fonte was sent off? With 10 men, a draw wasn't a bad result. As someone said, as average as it was, their keeper still made some great saves.
  7. I really like the one to the Slade tune. Has to be sung.
  8. I think you've just won it, hands down.
  9. 1 or 2 definitely didn't stake a claim for a regular start. All this slagging of Koeman is ridiculous though. I looked at our starting line-up and was pretty excited about the 3 up front. Davis dropped after a poor performance - fair enough. Clasie and Targett on the bench, ok, they probably don't have 3 premiership games a week in them. The team he put out were more than capable of getting something. We had an off night. The manager was let down as much as we were. End of story.
  10. Really poor from Fonte.
  11. Judging by his performance this morning, it doesn't take a genius to work out where Andrew Marr stands on the big question. i thought he was a disgrace.
  12. Hopefully he will take the mercenary cash from China.
  13. That must be why Nissan and Honda said they wouldn't leave the UK if we voted out.
  14. I liked the vicar on QT. What he said about not selling our democracy was spot on.
  15. You keep telling yourself that. Only tonight we had more scaremongering from Osborne.
  16. I'm willing to wager that the people banned have all been involved in organised hooliganism. Can't say I'm that bothered to be honest.
  17. Whatever side of the fence you sit, that is an interesting article.
  18. They'll be even less likely to leave now. Their oil is worth naff all.
  19. A fair few in Cameron's cabinet set to oppose him.
  20. Embarrassing watching Cameron beg the EU for a deal that won't make a blind bit of difference to immigration. He must be one crap poker player.
  21. You were lucky, my experience in New York was 1000 times worse.
  22. Some really informative posts from buctootim. Funny, I have just been watching some daytime television. Someone had a fire at their council flat, the council looked to be doing a great job in looking to quickly sort the flat out, and that of neighbours. Meanwhile, another house had illegally been converted to 6 flats, each of which consisted of basically a room with a few stud walls giving a tiny kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The tenant in question was on housing benefit, and the landlord was being paid £256 per week for one flat. My point is, as buctootim says, private doesn't necessarily mean better. The Tory government seem to have a pathological distrust of any public body that isn't there to make a profit. Hospitals are no exception.
  23. I believe the French health service is a public/private organisation that is held in extremely high regard. I know people who have been treated amazingly quickly and well under their care. I have personal experience of the U.S. private health service, and it was an absolute shambles charging totally exhorbitant prices. I would hate us to have a U.S. style health service, but we could possibly learn a thing or two from the French model. Jeremy Hunt seems a touch untrustworthy to me.
