  1. Only my opinion, sorry if you don't agree. I really hope I'm proved wrong to be honest.
  2. I wish I could agree with you, as he has been great for us. But I've got no confidence in the bloke now.
  3. I don't think it was a mistake to replace Puncheon. He wasn't great second half. But the subbing of Lambert was plain wrong. There were plenty of others players he could have replaced before Ricky.
  4. Got to disagree Duncan. I would rather stay up.
  5. Thanks for that, warrior.
  6. That isn't how I read it, you brave keyboard warrior.
  7. Reluctantly, I agree. I can't see much of an improvement with Nigel at the helm. I'm convinced the players don't believe in him.
  8. I don't think that's the 'obvious thing'.
  9. Not really. Will probably start a hysterical 'debate'.
  10. I thought Fonte defended well today.
  11. I agree with this part of your post 100%. Caretaker managers we've had in the past have been absolute nightmares (Dodd/Gorman, Wilkins). No point getting rid of the manager unless we have someone lined up to replace him. I do think there are experienced managers out there who would get more out of our squad though.
  12. I take it you haven't got daughters of your own, you disgusting piece of dirt.
  13. Managers are very rarely afforded time. Our keeper was replaced by Adkins because he wasn't up to the Premier. Who knows what may happen if Cortese doesn't think the manager isn't up to it.
  14. Fair enough if you did. Why didn't the players do as they were told then?
  15. In the second half, I didn't exactly notice him leaping out of his seat and screaming at his players not to play so deep.
  16. I said exactly the same thing to my old man.
  17. I'm not Adkins greatest fan, and game by game, he's doing little to turn me round.
  18. If you listened to everything that she said about it you might think differently. When she was a young girl, and was abused herself, she got a whack from her mother when she told her what had happened. I reckon something like that would stay with you for a long time. So it's not really 'utterly pathetic' is it.
  19. I suppose the loan could be written off against tax. Cortese may be a lot of things to some people. But he's a shrewd businessman. Even his most vociferous opponent couldn't argue against that. He's not Peter Risdale ffs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19819177
  20. I've just read that phil. Brilliant, I'm still buzzing from it now, and am eagerly awaiting the DVD to come out, to add to Ryder Cup collection.
  21. As far as clubs go, get a second hand set from a pro. They won't rip you off as they would want to build a relationship with you for business in years to come. I would certainly try this before heading off to one of the big faceless chains. You'll know yourself when you need a new set of clubs, as you improve. When you reach this stage, go for custom-fitting.
  22. Definitely book yourself half a dozen lessons with Kev or Chris at Paultons, with about a fortnight gap between each one. In between lessons, just practice what you have learnt. Do it this way and you'll enjoy the game more in years to come. Try and resist the temptation to play any rounds, you'll just fall into bad habits. Also, don't listen to tips from well-meaning amateurs (but don't grip the club tightly).

  24. Boruc/Gazza Clyne, Jos, Fonte, ? Really difficult to decide whether Clyne should play on the left and Frazer on the right, or do we play a proper left back - Fox/Shaw Davis, Yoshida, Puncheon, Ramirez, Lallana, Lambert If Morgan is fit, put Yoshi at the back with Fonte.
  25. They didn't want a can of worms to be opened once it became clear that Branson was going to push it all the way.Murky politics in my opinion.
