Just seen ex-skate Sheringham sacked at Stevenage. Always thought he was a bit of a 'wooden top' when interviewed at his peak, and a career rounded off badly at his time with the skates. Perhaps a skate manager in waiting when Cook fails to take them up after two or three attempts.

What about the lad at Wycombe ? Had got some good reviews but gone a bit quiet recently. Perhaps he's still a season or two away from the first team though.

I expect they could well be in for the drop to be honest. The late miss by Grabben at Sunderland may prove critical. Hope I'm wrong and they stay up (with the obvious caveat not at our expense), but given their run in they really do need some good results over the next few weeks.

One of the voices on radio that I grew up with. Sometimes his constant cheery yap could be a bit much in the morning (especially if I was carrying a hangover), but within a day or so I'd tune in again. Enjoyed his innuendo laden 'Janet & John' stories towards the end of his time on Radio 2. Will remember his Eurovision commentaries and version of the 'Floral Dance' (perhaps not the greatest epitah on his career though). Will be missed.

Like you, I hope for this to be used again, but I suspect the more unimaginative r&w stripes i the mock up to be more likely. Not sure how the sash from UA might look, it could just be a rehashing of the spurs type shirt, and I don't particularly want to look as if we've just copied their kit.

Where did he go ? Was it the FA ?

I don't know enough about the under 21's &18's to say if the situation is dire, but a couple of thoughts: Is the situation due toi the coaches, or the recruitment, and that we're not finding the Shaw calibre of youngster ? Why do good coaches need to have a link to the club ? Better that we get the right coasch than stick someone into the job because they have previous connections. Ideal if they do, and are good coaches, but the coaching skills are paramount I'd have thought. UNless you have someone in mind ? The fact this is raised though, tends to show we've gone backwards in recent years. Probably because whenever we get a good set its lured to the FA or Fulham. For whatever reason they left, it does seem to have been downhill since dodd & Wiiliams days.Leave it to those ITK to advise if this is connected.

Is he the match summariser on 5 Live? If he's down this way he probably took the opportunity to look up some old acquantices in Derby Road.

And theres also the possibility that Morgan & Lallana might be required to go on a needless high profile friendly in some ridiculous location in Asia for their clubs in promotional friendlies.

I would expect Newcastle, Sunderland & Wolves in the 20 to be honest.

Only two seasons of top division football between them in my lifetime.

I thought he was their first choice centre half at that time.

Its only a good signing if the right player turns up. If its the sulking stroppy bugger that he often is, then its a bullett dodged.

Not enough skate refeences in there though. What about: Oh Charlie, whoooah He's never been to Italy but he still f'kin hates Pompey...

No great surprise if Morgan moves on at the end of a fairly insignificant season at Man U , especially if as expected LVG departs and a new man comes in. What I fear is that he may end up with Pochetino at spurs, which will be a pretty bitter end.

.. or when it's committed by a Man U player at Old Trafford,

Saints Fan Dan's post above confirms some of them are probably still living in a 1979 timewarp: 8-10,000 probaby exceeded the actual attendance, and even capacity of some of the grounds he suggests. Suspect many of their posts regarding this season's awaydays are littered with talk of "taking the home end..."
-
I'd be amazed if he's with us next season, and fully expect him to go to join spurs. Rather we flogged him to Arsenal rather than get into any dealing with Poch & Levy, but in truth he isn't Arsenal quality, and would largely be a squad player for Poch given their likely fixture congestion in Europe again.
