  1. Maybe he isn't yet fully fit and Nige is saving him for West Ham?
  2. summarised as "together as one".
  3. When do tickets go on general sale? ta
  4. I'm not too despondent over being knocked out of the cup to be honest, I was more concerned over extra time ahead of Saturday, and a backlog of fixtures had we progressed (as I thought we'd probably rise to the occasion and beat Bolton). Am p!ssed off and concerned over the manner of defeat, having got the initiative after 80 minutes to concede twice after that is gallling. Yet again we seem to have possession but create little with it is my take on recent form.
  5. Yes - AL especially.I would not have risked him tonight with Burnley and in particular West Ham away coming up.

  8. Does Forecast still fall in to this category , or has he realised his limitations yet ?

  10. Who was the last outfield player to go in goal for us ? My recollection is Colin Clarke at home to Arsenal c1986 or 7.
  11. Why ? It is more of an issue about the dimwits who edit the tv screening than about either Cork himself, or his parents choice of names
  12. Exactly that, it was never even a rumour
  13. That of course is the critical issue. All the more reason why we should have brought another GK in during January, or the forthcoming loan window. We need a GK on the bench in case of emergency but we need a competent one who can be relied upon and not dissolve in to a bag of nerves.

  15. Can we work all that in to a song ?
  16. Summer of 2003 had a few, in particular Darius Vassell (especially after someone thought they saw Rupert driving into Birmingham on the Aston Expressway on a Sunday evening). Javier De Pedro was the 2004 version. Chris McMenemy to become manager after either Bally or Dave Merrington left.
  17. Paul Hart to replace Pardew...
  18. Agree , had the same discussion this morning. As long as he is here, playing and motivated (on board with his oar in his hand ) then great, but deep down you wonder when he will throw a tantrum at being substituted or rested. I just hope he makes a significant contribution in amassing a number of wins and points, before he throws a wobbly ( chucks his oar overboard - to paraphrase an Adkinsism).

  20. Just wear a high visibility jacket, and you'll be fine. Don't worry about it. As for the ref calling it off, I remember away games at Leicester (c1986) called off at 20 minutes due to a monsoon at 0-0. Also, and more annoying, away to Forest due to fog in the 70's. Saints were winning 1or2-0 at the time after about 70minutes and Forest looked hopeless. By the timeof the rematch Forest had picked up form and beat us easily , 3-0 from memory.
  21. The front of that looks a bit 'Liverpool c. late 60's/early 70s..
  22. Who said you can't play in a bit of snow ? Them were the days, proper players.... Also remember an MLT hat-trick in a blizzard v Leicester c1987 at The Dell
  23. day after a 4-1 home defeat might be more applicable to the timing though.
  24. Can anyone who has been to St Andrew's before suggest any safe/sensible parking ?
