If it is anything as decent as you suggest Dog then I will be amazed .

Sorry to say, but from the outset of recent news that we have had a bid accepted, I've doubted that this would end up with JR actually signing for us. Lets remember that all this came into public domain c/o a journalist , Nixon. Where did he get his info from ? Saints play transfer dealings close to their chest, not sure if Burnley have publicly stated anything prior to Nixon's piece, so the most likely source is JR's agent. Probably for the sole purpose of giving a warning to other remotely interested clubs. Hope I'm wrong. Agree with Patred as below.

I would not necessarily share your view of Liverpool being "screwed" due to the appointment of Rodgers, but there is a possibility if he does not get off to a reasonable start the crowd - and the senior players - will make it increasingly difficult for him. Norwich are a well run club, and mightcome up with a sensible and good apppointment.

From the last read of the thread , it seemed to be heading towards either white with red pinstripes, or red with white pinstripes. Either way, far from excited by the prospect.
-
So does it have stripes ? , one colour more predominant than the other ? Any other clues you can share ?

Did he not use the same tactic in resigning from Colchester to join Norwich three seasons ago ? Something Norwich may also have overlooked. As for NA , I suspect the job he might have left us for has now been taken by Brendan Rodgers.

Several references to the red with white pinstripe in this thread. I remember Bayern Munich wearing something similar in the 1970's : Looks like a red version of Brighton's home kit 2010/11.

"BBC sport understands" still not certain! Hope we can pull this one off mind!

I fear this will rumble on until the weekend , then go quiet over the bank holiday. Sod's law he'll join some other bastards next week.

Would prefer Phillips from Blackpool but Ince certainly showed potential at the end of the season. -

Can't see that aiding his football development , and would certainly set back any hope of learning English by spending three months in t' Bahnsley -
May as well disband the Euro's now then and just hand the trophy to Sweden. Bet the Russian grannies probably take a better penalty than the first three for Huddersfield as well.

Is it not time for the Orkney's to seek independance from Scotland ?

Clearly NA willbe judged by Cortese on results after we get going in the premiership.Don't think anyone would expect otherwise. Personally, I think Adkins is the best potential up and coming English manager, but that could be shown to be false hope in the 'big league' , perhaps he'll prove to be another Warnock in that he's great for promotion but not quite able to keep teams there. There may be some personal history from Switzerland between NC and Di Matteo , and RDM's stock is high after the Champ League, but I don't quite see his record as that great : MK Dons - got to play offs, beaten by Sc^nthorpe who were managed by ... WBA - a resounding success, got promoted to the prem as runners up (sounds familiar) having never really challenged for the title the whole season Sacked at WBA - too inexperienced ? Chelsea - inherited probably the most expensive squad in the Prem, and turned their season around by allowing the old guard to take centre stage, so no inspired signings made by Di Matteo in building anything there.

Bloody good idea that , pre-book a half-time beer before the match and incur a £3 booking fee.

Only if reversed , ie white central stripe as per the Keegan era kit. Otherwise , no.

Most of us probably missed the loss of a porn star you idolised when younger. Deepest condolences.

First name that sprung to my mind. With the exception of Peter Bonnetti most names are relatively recent. I can't believe England did not try some real dross out in the late 1960's/70's when we had the Home Internationals to field a team in.

I think that was one of the names that stood out, an U21 keeper, loaned out by his club (PSV ?), possibly surplus to requirements there ?
