Dundee Utd striker, good player but as Hopkins pointed out bit of a problem off the field. Arsehole infact. Perhaps we should sign him and Gary Nadine who has been arrested again in the last week on a charge of suspected arson. Some players seem to be 'serial arseholes'. These two make Barnards fisticuffs look like the actions of a choirboy.

Biggest Flop Signing & Low Expectation That Came Good
Badger replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Bit unfair on Svennson. But David Lee, christ I had forgotten about him, another Branfoot masterstroke. Two more Branfoot flops are Paul Shireen and Colin Cramb who although inexpensive were said to be signings with great potential . Neither featured in the first team to my knowledge. To these another Branfoot youngster was some Irish hothead who Reading couldn't release quick enough, but was destined to be the great midfield general within a few years (Barry Ferguson ?). This is possibly another category though, hugely hyped youngsters who never made it.Alan Ball signed one of these from his former club, Blackpool after he came to Saints,a kid called Eamonn Collins.Saints were fined for poaching him but he never played a first team match. -
£440,000. Any advances ?

Biggest Flop Signing & Low Expectation That Came Good
Badger replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Flops: Dixon & Speedie,Delgado (obviously), but one of the biggest disappointments was Alan McLoughlin our first £1m player. That failure really was a nail in Nicoll's coffin as manager. Low expectation: possibly Case who was already past it,as was Mick Mills.Crouch too exceeded expectation. For the first season. In his second season he probably justified why he was so maligned in the game, complete egotistical arsehole. -
Oh look, someone has just caught up with the 'must have a black away kit' fad: Surely we can do better ?

or West Ham as the greasy reptile Sloberdyce is intending to spend out of all proportion in pursuit of promotion, or financial ruin.

Kronenbourg; a lager for wifebeaters. Great slogan, do you think it will catch on ?
-
Really ? They find that funny ? With Cotterill as their manager as well ? What a bunch of spacktards.

I'm inclined to agree that Sharp at c£2.5m (possibly with Mills making up part of that) would be a better option.

Perhaps not good for a session!

Good idea, a local brewery producing "a beast of a beer".

Yes but he returned to Chelsea at expiry of a three month loan. Most were hoping the deal might be continued but about a week passed by with no news, then announced he was off to Watford.
-
I'm not sure that is entirely accurate or fair on Cork. He returned to Chelsea at the end of a three month deal, probably because we could not afford to extend the deal, and even if we could he saw that being part of the wreckage that SFC had become for the remainder of the season offered no benefit to his career.

When do the players come back for pre season training??
Badger replied to Tamesaint's topic in The Saints
As last years pre-season training camp had no benefit they will try something new this year. They are going to spend the entire summer on the p!ss. It is a condition for Jack Cork that if signing he spends the pre-season falling out of nightclubs in both Ibiza and London. -
I expect you'll be correct. West Ham will pay him ludicrously more, and he will have greater opportunities to be photographed leaving nightclubs with Essex scrubbers to enhance his image and career there.

Pearce - ex-skate.... Peltier - good shout although Leicester seem in prime position to nab him Danns - is he a box to box player ? I've always seen him as more creative in the last third of the pitch, good when his team have already won possession and are playing well , but might go 'missing' too easily (bit of a 'fancy danns' really) Jennings- off to Bayern I thought Baldock - possibly a good option, but don't know much about him Pilkington - definitely Plus; A new GK to make the haul with us to the Prem On the CB issue I really would like to see Martin get a run before we spend too much here, I suspect he might be forced elsewhere to prove himself and we will end up regreting it. IF we have to spend here then Hobbs would be a better option in my view, but already likely to go to Hull.

Has he actually been confirmed ? Even if he has, he is hardly an official clubs spokesman.
