Depends who they bring in. Forest talking to Permatanned McLaren. Birmingham - no idea. I suspect Martin O'Neill's name will be linked with both,and if he manages to sell or let that flat in Winchester, then he'd probably be interested in either post esp.Forest.

Just checked: Burnley 73,000 Gloucester 123,000 Nailsworth 6,600 -
Gloucester used to have a similar population to Burnley but never a league club,and they play in a couple of divisions lower than Forest Green Rovers (Nailsworth, just south of Stroud).

Bristol as you say should do better. Plymouth also underachieves for somewhere with the population the size of Southampton, and its catchment area.
