Not being of the 'Stone Roses' generation I understood they were part of the great unwashed plebs that came out of the Peoples Republic of Manchester in the early 90's. Having not heard of the original song suggested by Turkish I listened to the start of original on Youtube . Yes I was right, a truly talentless bunch, and the song is a tuneless dirge, there is no tune to sing, its worse than a funeral hymn.

As it says on that site : "Badgers do Euro 2004". Has it really been updated ?

I've not used Hampshire Flag Co but have seen their details on this site before: http://www.hampshireflag.co.uk/index.shtml?gclid=CJyS_4jfrqwCFUtC4Qod6nsdHQ Obviously be aware they are in a PO postcode !

Yes so do I, January 1982 when we won 1-0 to go top of the table for the first time. Bloody cold, and for such a momentous game it was a shame there were barely two coach loads there.

I don't think he was left with a choice to make to be honest. NC (and possibly Pardew as well) would not be ripped off by his wage demands, and with his dodgy injury record at the time, told him to bugger off. So he crawled back to Gus - who at the end of the previous season had a hissy fit about the player - and they kissed and made up, saying he never wanted to leave Brighton in the first place.

A wider readership than the Gruaniad and its sister paper then.
-
Careful - you might upset the Brighton fans.

Definetly recommend The Longest Day. Not a film, but if yo've got the time to watch it, Band of Brothers series. Or for a documentary DVD, World at War.

Unless they appoint Wigley as a short term measure then that clueless set up will be fine when we play them.

Does she support Basingstoke Beavers ?
-
Did they refuse to buy their own tickets ? Actually had not realised they have gone, sure I've seen them this season a couple of times.

Not entirely fair, in that he probably left Leicester due to Mandaric and with him gone is prepared to go back and try to finish the job he started. Although I doubt Hull fans will see it that way.

I recall a version being sung in the Northam club about WGS the night we beat Spurs to start the cup run.

Sorry misread as POST- Match: Therefore - happy beer/ singing beer/ or seriously depressed beer depending on result

Defence and MF might survive as you suggest but I would not wish to rely on Guly & Connolly for any prolonged period. Guly is currently on his purple patch, and many currently consider to be beyond question. Perhaps he willmaintain this rich vein of form, perhaps he won't. Who wants to gamble on it ? DC has been exceelent over a short period, first 8 or so games this season, last 4 or 5 last. After a short sustained burst, he appears to be running on empty. He is made of glass, and could be taken away from the front line all too soon, without notice. I would not wish to rely on him with his track record for two or three months at a critical stage. I'm with Alpine on this one.

Is there possibly an answer to why his defensive play has improved in your observation on not overlapping so often ?

I don't think people were "underwhelmed" at the signing of Pahars, billed as the Latvian Michael Owen. More relieved to have him signed after the furore over a work permitand hope that he lived up to the billing. I have previously referred to this, and think you'll find someone previously suggested Clyne from Palace.
-
Having said yes to bringing someone in, we have to trust NA in bringing the right temperament on to the bus,and not disrupt it. I remember other clubs leading the way to see signings come in and things rapidly going down the pan (Asprilla at Newcastle in the early 90's and Marsh going to Man City in the early 70's).

Thought about that the other night when hearing Vossen - previously linked - had scored for Genk, as I expect their realistic involvement in the Champions League may be over by January.

Thanks for that. I'll put it on my christmas list, along with Sun Tzu 'Art of War'.
