My view has not changed since I posted on the other thread.

I have never been keen on the badge since its launch in 1974 . There have been numerous attempts on here to offer a new and better design , Gecko in particular came up with some spectacular alternatives.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

Be surprised if they were at SMS so close to our fixture with them, and two and a half weeks before the window opens, or if Palace were willing to sell in view of a cup semi final coming up. -

For the past couple of transfer windows I've been expecting a new GK , to provide greater competition to KD , and eventually succeed him. Events on Saturday probably have reinforced that, so perhaps January will be the time. -
He may indeed have a good attitude, and be innocent, but irrespective of this and the outcome of the case, I would be surprised if we took on a player who might be unavailable for a (minimum) couple of weeks during a key time in the season.
-
According to the first link you posted, the trial is set for March , which might prove a bit of a distraction from our promotion push. In light of this , I suspect we will steer clear.
-
New name and suggestion to me. I note some of their posters refer to a pending court case for him ,not sure if that is the sort of track record NA & NC will want to bring in to the building.

beat you by a minute !

Just varied it a bit for you chaps. Oh yes, I too can see Poyet p!ssing off to spurs when the chance arises. Chelsea is probably a step too far for him in the mind of Abramovic etc.

I noticed Bart had one. Is it possible his beard caused some sort of build up of 'static' to make the ball do strange uncontrollable things in the six yard box ? Never studied 'Beard Physics', but it might explain a lot.

I thought the story was he failed a medical at Sporting Braga after his previous contract expired, and then returned to re-sign for us. Not sure the "loyalty" is out of alternative options being declined.

100 Saints, the definitive list..... Thoughts required.

What ? No Herbert Dainty ? You bloody part time supporter FF , I thought you were made of sterner stuff. (most unlikely name for a footballer surely ? apart from Ali Dia of course, who sounds more like a crook in a 1960's Sooty annual , before PC era of course). -

First and best ever 'import' by a country mile - Ivan Golac. Best ever team label - 'The Alehouse' , custodian of the title for that , John McGrath. -
Is there any possibility of an emergency loan GK if KD remains unavailable due to injury ? I know the window is closed, but as we only have BB with experience available for selection, could this be regrded as an "emergency" ? Of course we also have Tommy Fourpast on the payroll, but his experience is nil.(Perhaps the only time in recent history he has been linked with the word "nil" in the the same sentence). No doubt some of the doyens in THe League would have to say he is available to us, therefore we do not have an "emergency" situation. Raises the question why he is still on the payroll but lets not go off on that one.

I'm pretty convinced he won't be. Irrespective of what happens next week I expect a new long term option/understudy will be added to take over from KD,possibly challenge him for a first team spot if we are promoted.Whether that is in Jan or the summer remains to be seen. Unfortunately there is very little confidence in BB and it showed a couple of times where defenders would not risk a pass back to him, it reminded me of how shaky our defence was when Dave Beasant was in goal at one stage. I don't accept all this "isolated , bad day at the office etc " here , as he has looked to me for sometime a shaky keeper, remember his 'pat-a -cake' type of attempt to clear/ catch (? not sure which) in a pre-season friendly v WBA ? Can we afford that next week ? Puzzle is though, that he did not look overawed v MancU last season, clearly he needs gametime to recover, but in our league position don't think we have the luxury of allowing him a rehabilitation period in the first team at the moment.
-
The most vivid recollections I have of BB are Palace at home 1-4 defeat a few sesons ago, and today. Not up to the standard we now need to progress.
-
How is it that a GK who looked comfortable and composed against MancU in the cup, full house, live on tv can be such a nervous bumbling shambles today ? For whatever reason that may be, I don't think we can afford to provide the therapy he needs to recover his form. For about two seasons now I hoped for a new GK to challenge KD, and possibly be his successor, that signing has not been made and today we paid the price.

considerably better than meeting in the Champions League.
-
That was the starting point for my theory - although initially misread the answer on calculator ! Eyesight obviously better in the old days,( 'O' level, predating GCSE)
-
but before a ball was drawn Man City had a 1 in 64 chance of being drawn.
-
Just a thought, but the odds of team A being drawn are 1/64. The odds of team B being drawn are 1/63. So is the probability of A v B , is 1/ 64 X 63 ( that is 1 in 4032* ). Probably not that simple * ammended for error - misread calculator - FAIL

thought that was Sharp
