Surprised Tony Lynam and Mark Fialka are not in the market to buy them.

Just beat the bastards !!

Actually I think he and his family originate from the German speaking part of Germany to be honest.

Drive,Cheltenham - outskirts of London. (Big Decision: Dilemna of Chelt-Oxford- London,or Chelt-Cirencester-Swindon-M4-London.Just have to wrestle with my mind over that one for the next six weeks) Take a filthy grimey tube to Wembley. Return: Cue like a peasant to take tube back towards car. Hopefully find car safe, complete with all tyres, wheels and cd player intact and without vandalism before repeating above route.

Our first final in our home kit. R/W stripes for me rather than a special 125th Year kit or away kit.

A former Saints chairman had a brain like a peanut if that counts.

Exactly as I saw it.Lucky to stay on.

Agree with you about the backdating of salary, but the bonus and commision (even described in the original post as 'non-contractual') are likely to be discretionary. Therefore the targets, commisions and payments can be ammended at any time. Is it "right" ? Morally not, but it may well be legal. As you say, depends on the contract. Also whether it is implemented depends on the bargaining power of those involved.

To some extent though we are victims of our own success here ,albeit success in cup competitions. As long as we remain in the JPT and FA Cup,Pardew will out of necessity be permutating his line up depending on availablity - ie those not cup tied - with one eye always on the next fixture.Jaidi we all knew would not be up to two games a week so the centre of defence would always be more of a rotation.
-
The crown was above the rose in the original crest. By the way,is it definitely a rose,or is it a mayflower ? I believe a rose as it was a coat of arms given to the city in Tudor times but stand to be corrected.
-
Not sure it is tinkering for the sake of it as opposed to shuffling the squad depending on who is available for the next game in the cup and resting them.
-
And I would be surprised ,even if we don't beat them.

The season is far from over, butthe focus now is obviously the cupcompetitions. I think this season is probably really what we expected after starting on -10 and needing to rebuild. That said, with the squad and money at his disposal we should be doing better in the league. As for preparing for next season,I suspect AP is trying to assemble that squad, and NC has perhaps recognised that with longer term signings of Seaborn and Puncheon rather than short term fixes. Would a CCC club offer and better and more stable basefor him ? Can't think of many clubsthat will. As for us,there are not many contenders who would offer us a better long term solution to AP.* (*Tisdale perhaps?)

Does anyone know how long he will be out for ? I thought it was initially said to be three weeks, but no updates heard for a while.
-
Is this the Rooney that used to frequent 'prostitute grannies' ? Disagree,I prefer Gerrard the winebar brawler to Rio the drug cheat. Is this more mobile phone revealations ?
-
That looks an interesting effort.Any chance of enlarging it ?

Very impressed by that, but as another has said the limit of the upper date as 2010 does make it a little like a 'gravestone' design.I see you have edited to Est 1885 on a later post.I'd drop the 'est'. Is that a bastardised version of the Arsenal badge ?Might be better with a black background as per the original. Good idea, but its taking a selection of features that has led to the current hotchpotch of a badge.
-
That looks good, Although this is closer to the original the white shorts etc just don't look like Saints Red shorts make this an impressive kit but prhaps not 'Saintly'. Personally,I would like to see the sash shirt as either for one match ie for the 125th anniversary game at home, or as a leisure/training shirt... As for the main season possibly a quarters shirt which has appealed for some time.Although I like the conventional stripes at some stage I hope we have a 'Keegan era' kit again. Finally, the away kit should go back to a more traditional amber and black.
-
As a leisure shirt or training shirt that is fine,or even as a single one off match to commemorate the anniversary. But not as a kit for the full season. That sash looks fine, but not for the full season as first choice home shirt as commented above.

Gone to Grimsby which is good news.Must increase Cheltenham's chances of staying in the league.

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
Badger replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
Fair point, but Lawrie had someone to take it onto the pitch in Ball and later Case.Perhaps they could be termed "lead violinists" to continue Lawrie's analogy. -

Possibly a concern, but I'd read on Pasoti that he could not settle as too far from London. On the contrary I think Alpine has a valid point. In Lawries terms of 'dustbinmen and violinists', perhaps we lack a conductor for our orchestra.
