  1. It doesn’t help when pundits don’t know the rules. Richards saying it’s not a pen because he’s close to the header. Souness hit the nail on the head. Under the rules it’s a penalty. What’s the ref supposed to do, uphold the laws of the game or make his own up?
  2. It’s exactly what it is. They’re taking subjectivity out of the game and refereeing by facts. However, it’s the Jose’s of the world plus pundits & press that have taken us down this path. If people just accepted that referees referee as they see it then, and that the only real consistency you can have is between decisions on that day, it’s not going away. They’ve made handball decisions consistent....
  3. Shit, wrong bloke.
  4. Kane sent off lol
  5. Picking Clinton then Biden to go up against The Donald is like The Tories picking Nadine Dorries & then JRM to fight Jeremy Corbyn. Biden will probably win, but it’ll be a lot closer than it should be.
  6. They watched our game Saturday and thought, fuck me if he can’t get a game for them, he must be awful.
  7. No, it isn’t. Accidental is no longer in the rules. It has been clarified, but the TV pundits, players and managers seem unable to grasp it. Did the ball hit the hand/arm was the hand/arm in an unnatural position? If the answer to both was yes, it’s a pen. Whether it deflected off another player (as in ours against spurs), whether it came off your knee, or whether it was deliberate, is irrelevant. I’m not saying it’s a good definition, but it’s clear and simple, certainly simpler than trying to work out if a player meant to handle it.
  8. Make no mistake, we got lucky today. Burnley with half a side missing, fuck me we made hard work of it. If I was a neutral I’d think 2 really poor sides. Second half we were awful. Djenepo gave one of the most inept performances I’ve ever seen. Bertrand way too causal second half, Armstrong & Adams had one. Oriel Rom my motm, Vestergaard did well, Ings was Ings & JWP did ok. Great to win when playing poorly for once, as it’s something we’ve not seemed capable of doing.
  9. Oh yeah, please do it Boris. I’ll forgive all your pinko fuck ups just to see the leftie meltdown if Dacre becomes head of ofcom. Delicious....It’ll be trolling on a Trumpian level.
  10. The chase for the perfect decision, VAR and complete consistency was obviously going to lead to this. Instead of the referee deciding if “In his opinion” a player deliberately handled the ball, we now have basic facts driving the decision. Did it hit his hand, and was his hand in an unnatural position. Whether it was deliberate or not doesn’t matter anymore.
  11. Piece of piss, 1-3
  12. Letting Neil wander off just about sums the bbc up.
  13. How to fuck up pubs, horrendous. If tonight’s anything to go by there won’t be an ale house industry much longer....
  14. I think the big difference in the comparison with the war (in football terms) is the games are on TV. After the war no football had been watched, whereas now we’re still seeing it. In my opinion a lot of people will have found other stuff to do and may not return. My nipper is 20 & plays a half decent level, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching him the past 4 weeks and then having a couple of noggins in the bar afterwards. Saturday will be perfect, watch him, beer, then home to watch saints. At the moment I’m gagging to get back to St Mary’s, but who knows how I’ll feel come March 2021 if I continue to enjoy local games involving my kid?
  15. Don’t talk pony man.
  16. Thanks, but I’m doing my hair.
  17. As George Galloway said on Sunday. The Democrats have done exactly the same as they did last time. Once again they’ve picked the only candidate that Trump has half a chance of beating.
  18. Surely you just get back a 19th of the season ticket price for each game missed.
  19. Forster is not the short, med, or long term fix.
  20. The NHS has been a fucking mess during this. Have you tried getting a Doctor or Dentist appointment lately using our beloved religion? And it’s “care” of people with other ailments has been quite frankly scandalous. I’ve absolutely no doubt an “in house” track & trace would have been absolutely woeful under Corbyn. This virus has basically shown up the complete failure of the British state to run a bath, let alone anything that would resemble a half decent track and trace. The same fuckwits implement policy no matter who is in charge.....
  21. Nope, can’t. I voted for him (well my Tory Mp) . If you think Jezza would be handling it any better you’re deluded. He’d be managing it worse, the economy would be even more of a mess and we’d be staying in The EU. No thanks, no regrets at all.
  22. The pub stuff is complete nonsense. If it’s table service, it won’t make a blind bit of difference whether they shut at 10 or 12. They couldn’t really shut pubs after spending the previous month encouraging people to use them. They haven’t the balls to leave them alone as the lockdown mob will be on their case, so they make a token gesture and fuck any sort of hard choice. If pubs spread the virus, why the fuck have an “eat out to Help out” policy and if they don’t, why shut them early. And don’t give me any pony about pubs being different after 10, they’re not if the existing guidelines are followed at all times. It’s just typical of the way the whole thing is being managed. Being PM means making tough, harsh and sometimes cruel decisions. I couldn’t do it, but then again I don’t stand for election. There are consequences over decisions, whether people thrown on the scrap heap by the great lady, or people dying in wars & conflicts. This bloke seems to want to do the job without actually having the balls to do it. We need some fucking answers. What is the end game, and how will we get there. Protecting everyone until we get a vaccine is not a feasible strategy,
  23. I don’t know what’s worse, the pubs being shut early, or Knobheads thinking they’re funny by saying can you only catch it after 10pm?
  24. And he can nutmeg a caterpillar, although it’s far easy just to stamp on the fucking thing.
  25. Others? What about every single manager that he’s played for in England. You know, the guys that watch him day in & day out. Don’t tell me, they’re wrong and you’re right. Doesn’t it tell you something that nobody half decent is interested in signing him, fuck me even Gaston managed to get one premier league club interested.
