  1. Well that's it now, we're in do or die territory. It's down to the players mentality now. Can they get over today's crushing defeat and pick themselves up. If they can and they show the fight and commitment from the last 2 games there's absolutely no reason we couldn't win back to back league games. Swansea have Man C and then Chelsea so we could conceivably be above them if we do. I just hope the players believe it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. First hour was the best performance of the season. Players gave their all, outplayed Chelsea and the formation looked good. I said to the guy next to me “next goals the winner”. Once you give one away at 2-0 you’re always up against it, even more so when you play a top side. They only played for 10/15 minutes, but they’re good enough to beat poor sides in that spell. We played a lot better than West Ham did, but Chelsea missed chance after chance that day. Play like that Thurs and we’ll beat Leicester. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. You’re a ****ing idiot. It’s not that “he isn’t isn’t up for it” it’s that he doesn’t give a shiny Shiite. Personally, I’d cancel the player of the year trophy. Not one of the the ****ing useless tossers deserve it. None of them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. The establishment dumped on Powell an incredibly clever man, who is now portrayed as a racist moron. He made a speech warning of the dangers of coloured immigration, but the Wilson government actually legislated against coloured East Africans coming in and revoked their rights to settle in the UK during the same era. They let white farmers in but not the coloured ones, despite them holding British passports. The Home Secretary at the time Skate Callaghan allegedly stated that “Powell's antics were a valuable distraction” from the decision he made to abandon these coloured people to their fate. The whole era was a racial powder keg and no sane person would want to go back to that bleak period. But racism was rife throughout society, Powell was a great scapegoat at the time and his speech also enabled the great and the good to close down debate on the subject for a generation. 5. You’re right, those home grown players were so loyal. I long for a return of the days when there was real loyalty from our home grown contingent like Lallana , Shaw & Chambers. Luckily Im also old enough to remember the loyalty shown by Alan Shearer, Jeff Kenna, The Wallace’s , Steve Williams. **** the foreign mercenaries, let’s get some home grown loyalists in. 6. Lambert’s head was already in Ipswich, he was gutted Nicola wouldn’t take their calls. Source- A bloke on Suffolk FM a few years ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Rock solid proof then. So your response to my claim that we’ve always sold to bigger clubs when our players want to go and had offers, is that Cortese turned down and ignored Ipswich. I take it all back, how did Cortese manage to fend of the attention from the mighty Ipswich, wow , what a hard nosed businessman he is. I take it all back. I bet Reed would have driven VvD to Suffolk himself had they wanted him. **** me, Ipswich. Wonder if he’d have done the same if it was Norwich Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Course it is. But so is the club saying **** you & setting the criteria for the final accordingly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. God, are you really that stupid. Strange that when we were the biggest draw in league 1, no big sides wanted our players and nobody wanted to leave. Except for Ox, who...........er..............left. Then in the championship, when we were flying , nobody wanted to leave, and I don’t recall any offers for our players. Then we were establishing ourselves in the premier league, the same. It was only once we had established players, proven in the top flight, that clubs wanted our players. How many offers did we turn down during your Pardew to Poch period. Which players were wanted by big clubs. From my memory it’s one, and that one left. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. As I said in my post, I’m sure they’ll be thousands of them with legitimate reasons for not going. There always is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. When have we ever stopped clubs picking off our talent? I’ve been watching over 40 years and I don’t ever recall a time. Yes youngsters like Stevie Williams stayed a bit longer, but all players & managers stayed put in those days. The difference in wages wasn’t so much & there was no Bosman ruling. Every single player that wants to leave, leaves in the end. Its happened whoever has run the club. “Loyal core” , what a load of pony. Matt clearly admitted he’d have left when if we’d been relegated when he played, so even he would have upped and left. When was this time of a “loyal core”. There’s no loyal core at any club outside of the supporters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I remember being at work and following updates posted on the old bbc 606 forum from someone in the room. Just shows how ****ed the club was that supporters were following updates from an AGM like it was a match day thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. If a miracle happens and we win, I hope the final tickets will go to the people who purchased semi final tickets first. Before ST holders who didn’t go, regardless of how many games they’ve done. No doubt they’ll be thousands who couldn’t make the semi final, that’ll now be free to go in May. 14. I'd imagine Swansea fans are pretty worried Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This afternoon I had a couple of noggins with a Huddersfield supporter who went to Brighton to watch them . He reckons they were knackered and have run out of steam. Said they were there for the taking but a combination of a draw being a decent result for Brighton & them having a bloke sent off meant Brighton let them off the hook. He's convinced they're going down and we're too good to go down. I desperately tried to convince him that we're shiete, but he said they're defo running out of steam. Just goes to show we're not alone. Most supporters down the bottom are convinced their teams are going down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Proof? And as the phrase used was “reports”, I presume there’s links to these reports Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Interesting day for Steptoe today. Israeli Labor Party suspends relations with him, but he gets Nick Griffins endorsement. Still with Max Mosley funding Tom Watson, I’m sure he’ll feel right at home. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. Great support Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. We need to ramp up the pressure by beating Chelsea. Lose that and Watford home looks a lot easier. Imagine the atmosphere if we’ve lost just before they kick off. On the other hand, imagine the disappointment if we’ve beat them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Sat is massive. If and it’s a big if, we can win, it’s going to pile on the pressure for Huddersfield, Swansea & Palace. If we lose their games become free hits, much easier to play in those circumstances. Our run isn’t as bad as it looks on paper, particularly if Leicester lose to Burnley sat. It’s not inconceivable that our games will look like this Chelsea-Nothing to play for. Leicester- Nothing to play for Boscombe-Safe from relegation Everton-Nothing to play for Swansea-Safe from relegation Man C- Nothing to play for, players looking at World Cup. If we can’t win 3 of them, we deserve to go down. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. This is spades. How did they respond to getting rid of that nasty man Claude, by giving us the worst season in years, including an abject performance against the man that was holding them back & stifling them. How did they respond to that awful manager Pell leaving, by giving the new manager one of the most spineless cowardly performance I’ve ever witnessed in his first league game. Of course “ it’s because they’ve had their confidence shattered by the previous managers”. They’re so lacking in confidence, that they can’t even try. It’s not the fact they’re not good enough, it’s the fact they think they are which is the problem. Ryan Bertrand being captain sums the whole thing up, his stupid ****ing grin whilst going through the motions at Newcastle & West Ham, his complete lack of any leadership or drive. This lot deserve to be championship players, but I wouldn’t want many of them anywhere near the club. They’ll probably mince around down there thinking they’re premier league players guesting for a season. Bunch of ****s. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. The only way we can be relegated that day is if we fail to pick up any points against Chelsea and Leicester and Huddersfield & Swansea win both their games. Seeing as Swansea play City away, that’ll be unlikely. If we go down it’ll be just another in a long line of defeats, not the final nail in the coffin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Just saw on match of the day the number of points in 2018. Obviously West Brom, Stoke & us are bottom 3, but equal next worst are Chelsea & Palace. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I wouldn't worry about West Ham, that ship sailed last week. They've got Stoke next week, let's hope they're as flukey then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
