Rubbish, he didn’t lay the ground work for Koeman anymore than Nigel did for him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You said he would “instantly improve “ Man utd and Chelsea. Budgets don’t make a blind bit of difference to that statement. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What’s with the love in for the Argie, talk about blinkered. At roughly the same age Josè Mourinho had already won 2 champions leagues, & the premier league. Yet Poch could improve his present team instantly. Conte took a team from mid table to champions in one season, yet Poch would “improve them instantly”. Shame he couldn’t improve Spurs from second, sorry third , in the same season. I know you wet your pants over the love his players have for him, but they’re in the main younger willing players. He hasn’t managed too many global super stars or clubs that come with real pressure ,and until he does and can not be considered a great manager. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If travelling to Brighton on Sunday, remember....

I don’t know about from Southampton but from Poole the train fare is the same to Worthing as to Falmer or Brighton Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Oh yes, the old arm chair fan jibe. I get to every home game and half the away games, only missed palace away so far this season ( and watched that on TV). Anyway, you wouldn’t need to watch many games to see his contribution, because 2 people who know a damn sight more about football than you or me, who also see him day in day out, deemed him not good enough play many minutes in a side crying out for goals and creativity. Says quite a lot, don’t you think. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What a load of pony. What’s pride got to do with anything and what on earths ignorant about wanting a guy to preform before being picked. I will summarise my opinion on this so you no longer need to twist what I’ve written in the past. Boufal had done nothing in a Southampton shirt to justify a starting place. He scored a fantastic goal that won us the game. He therefore deserves a start on Sunday. I do not expect him to produce magic like that every week. However, I do expect him to work for the team, do as he’s told and give 100% every minute he’s on the pitch. There are times in the past when it looked to me that he chucked the towel in when things were going against him. If he’s grown out of that, great. If he hasn’t, he can **** off. It’s laughable the gushing praise he seems to get from certain quarters on here, with absolutely no justification at all. Personally, i think he’s been just like Gaston & I think he will end up just like Gaston. Hopefully I’m proved wrong, but I haven’t been yet. One goal, however good, doesn’t make up for his appalling time at the club, so far. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Is Shane long a Koeman or Les signing. I believe Koeman asked Les for somebody who was used to the English game, and could play up front in a wider roll or down the middle. Les gave him 3 options and Long was one of them. I suggest most of our signings are along these lines, with the manager identifying where we need strengthening & describing the type of player he wants . I’d imagine the club then short list 3 or 4 they’ve been tracking and Les gets to work on seeing who realistically can come in. It’s too simplistic to say X is a Manager signing and Y is a Les one. Some stick out, Pelle clearly didn’t look a Saints buy, but we needed to replace Lovren.Toby could have been on our radar, but being managed by Koeman enabled us to seal the deal. Homophobic comments should never be considered “Bantz” and its a pretty poor show to call a chick an ugly *****. The blokes clearly unfit to represent his constituents. As for his assertion that a Tory would have to resign because unlike him they’e incapable of remorse and rehabilitation, is quite frankly bizarre. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You’re not serious are you, genius?.??? There’s absolutely no comparison. Matt hit the ground running when first given his chance. All this genius versus hard work stuff only came later on, after Chris N really. One league goal & some of you want to give him a free pass, and he’s a “luxury player”. I doubt Jimmy Case gave Matt a free pass after 1 ****ing league goal. If he wants to mince around not doing his share of the dirty work, wants to be a luxury player (whatever that is), then he should **** off to Arsenal. ONE goal ffs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Wonder what Steptoe is going to do about his new homophobic, sexist MP? The bloke himself has claimed today that he’s not going to resign the whip, but would expect a Tory to if they said the same thing. Evidently a Tory can’t rehabilitate themselves, but he has..... Perhaps they could give him a “ban” like Ken’s one. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’d love it if Puel & Tuchel get their respective jobs. We’d then be able to directly compare, excitement, number of goals, how much the players like them & their personality at press conferences. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It’s a shame remoaners like you aren’t as vociferous towards the other side of the coin. How about the EU publish the exact figure they want as part of this so called divorce bill, is it €49 billion, $50 billion, $100 billion, they don’t seem to know. And how about they account for every red cent of that money. The British Government should pay every penny that they’re legally accountable for, not a penny more , not a penny less. Not newspaper leaks, not national Politicians opinion, they should publish their settlement figure and the reasoning behind it for everyone to see. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’ve seen this mentioned on social media a bit and it’s complete nonsense. Poch’s work is about as relevant to Koemans as Adkins was to his. In fact I’d hazard a guess that Nigel’s ground work enabled Poch to hit the ground running far more than Poch’s did for Ron. Never underestimate the job Koeman did that first summer. The Argie twt didn’t just leave, the manner of his leaving and the questions his leaving posed around ambition and Kats stewardship could have been disastrous. I’m sure his attitude, combined with the press, entranced the view that Cortese leaving was the end. This contributed directly to more players wanting out imo. Koeman walked into an uncertain mess and steadied the ship brilliantly. He was the exact right man for that period. That said, I’m actually glad he left. I’m not convinced he’d have coped with the loss of Mane, Pelle & Vic , I’m not really convinced he’s that good a manager. It was just that we needed a short burst of him to get us through that awful summer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What complete & utter pony. “ by some distance the most talented player at the club”. Behave yourself. He’s not anywhere near the player VvD or Lemina are. If other clubs were given a free pick of our players they’d pick Betrand,Cedrick, OR, Gabbi or Tadic over him, every day of the week. It’s real football, not a play station game. People were saying Boufal should start for weeks, so it wasn’t hindsight at all. However, doesn’t mean they were right. Chances are he’d have been hooked for Redmond on about 60 mins, after doing sweet FA. Look at it this way, the managers substitution changed the game. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What’s disrespectful about it? They clearly need a centre half, he’s one of the best around and he’s indicated that he’d like to play for them. Pundits wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t suggest it. Stop being so precious. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The question isn’t whether we sell out the smaller allocation, but whether we’d sell out the larger one completely. If we don’t it’ll cost the club money. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Why would anyone touch the Leicester job? I thought some of you clowns were deluded, but you're nowhere in the deluded stakes compared to the Leicester board. Win the league with Leicester, LEICESTER FFS, and you're sacked after a poor run, within a year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
