Really makes you wonder how Australia, Canada & countless other nations get by without joining together in ever closer union. How on earth do they trade without freedom of movement. They must be really struggling without a multi national flag, anthem & parliament. How on earth do they manage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PL Clubs to Discuss Transfer Window Shutting Before Season Starts
Lord Duckhunter replied to SaintSeb's topic in The Saints
I'm actually surprised nobody has tested this in a court. I'm pretty sure there could be a restraint of trade angle. I guess nobody wants to get bogged down with years of litigation like Bosman was, pretty much finishing his career. If I want to leave one employer, they're happy for me to go, & another employer wants me, surely there's a case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal
Lord Duckhunter replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Would be funny if we allowed him to move and not V ****. Wouldn't want him to go, but would love a statement along the lines of: "Southampton football club wish to place on record their thanks to Cedric for the professional way he's behaved during the transfer window. Because of this we have reluctantly agreed to this move" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

"The UK paper will say the government is optimistic that the EU will allow trade secretary Liam Fox to negotiate new trade deals during the transition." Cake & eat it territory. Fully supported by both sides of the Government. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dear god. If Peter Schmeichel turned up at St Mary's and started coaching our keepers without the necessary badges, they'd listen, because of the respect they'll have for him. If Dave Watson turns up WITH NO COACHING CREDENTIALS they'd be like WTF. Ricky Lambert was not good enough as a player to be fast tracked into a premier league club without the relevant coaching qualifications. We're not some 1950's throw back " jobs for the boys " outfit. IF Ricky lambert wants a coaching career now, I suggest he starts at Bristol Rovers or Eastleigh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bizarre conclusion to the Guardian article posted and comments about the CU ( not the SM) . I guess the bit "Fox and Hammond are seen as the most pro-leave and pro-remain ministers in the cabinet and the Sunday Telegraph article shows that, on some issues relating to the transitional period, consensus has now been achieved" , is " meaningless contradictions" to a remoaner. United cabinet position of out of CU from day one, is good news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What part of "outside the customs union during any transition" do you not understand? The whole point of the joint statement is to clarify that we'll be able to do trade deals from day one. How on earth is that remaining in cu in all but name? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Talk about missing the point. Stam or lambert , one a lower league journeyman for most of his career, the other one of the top centre halves of his generation. Top players may get away with not having badges because of the respect they command. Ricky lambert won't . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Surprised none of the remoaners have posted the latest from their poster boy Phillip Hammond. Joint statement with Dr Liam Fox, we're out the CU from day one. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/politics/2017/aug/13/hammond-and-fox-brexit-transition-would-not-be-way-to-remain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really? Has he even done his coaching badges? Or do you think he'll get by on reputation alone. That Gabbi's gonna say say "wow that's Ricky Lambert. scored a lot of goals in the lower leagues, & had 2 good seasons in the Premiership, I'm in awe of him. Forget about his coaching credentials,I'm sure I can learn from him, seeing as I'm only an ex juve, Sampdoria & Napoli Italian international". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It was very similar to the first two home games last season, except it was 0-0 rather than 1-1. How many saves did their keeper make? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, why? Are you trying to say that Swansea weren't incredibly poor. Had the exact same players produced the exact same performance but Puel was manager this place would be in utter meltdown. Watching people attempting to twist & turn to claim it's somehow not the case is a laughable as the way it was done to denigrate 8th last season. FYI I did every home game bar 2 last season & a dozen away. Yesterday was deja vu . Hardly surprising given it's the exact same players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Of course not. 0-0 against an incredibly poor side, keep trying to convince yourselves. The penny will drop in about a month

John Barnes on Talksport. "In my day if you wanted a move and it was rejected, you stayed and got on with it. You respected the club and supporters. You were happy to sign a contract, and although a move would have been great, if denied one, you stick to your contract". He specifically mentioned VvD, rather than PC. Claims he could have moved to Liverpool earlier, but was refused. Just stayed and respected Watford. Said there was no chance of anyone messing their club around or sulking back then. I'm not a great fan of his, but to say he doesn't "get football" is just complete & utter nonsense. He reads the game incredibly well for a youngish player, tactically he's sound and his technique is really good . My doubts are that he's one paced, pretty slow, and he's not physically strong enough. There were signs last year that he's getting there, so this season will be interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

**** me, no. They're up players & managers arses more than ex players. Look what they're like with Redknapp & Fat Sam, now they're all in love with klopp. Terrible idea, they're pretentious enough as it is without put them up as experts. Crickets got it right, one or two professional tv men holding it together & ex players giving an insiders view. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
