  1. Not at all. I've heard both Stewart Robson & Tony Cascarino, two pundits who are pretty decent imo, both say that Chelsea's form with a new manger is partly down to the fact Conte works day in day out with the team as there is no midweek games. Robson actually contrasted this with Pep's struggles to get City to adopt his tactics which he said was in part to their midweek commitments. It made sense to me.
  2. Strange,a remain seat votes for a remain candidate and the BBC are wetting their pants with excitement . Timmy Farron is all over the news calling it a Brexit "backlash". Yet when a leave seat votes in a leave candidate, nothing, not a thing. Where is Timmy? I thought he'd be celebrating the 106 extra voters he got, only another 1.2 million to go Timmy.
  3. What a load of pony. You want to have your anti Les cake & eat it. You blame him for our poor signings this season but credit Ron for the good ones the previous 2 seasons. According to you we've been going downhill since Nicola left, and laughable write off the awkward fact that we've finished higher both seasons since as "luck". Most independent observers think we've got a cracking set up, Wenger called us "miracle workers" . Puel was brought in to devolop the youngsters and re-establish a pathway from the under 21's to the first team. McQueen & Sims would not have got a look in under Koeman. It takes time and patience for a new man to come in and do this. Dec is not the time to be writing the guy off, particularly when midweek games has limited his chance to work on tactics during the week. It does make me laugh that supporters that are the first to jump on Adam Lallanas or Koemans back for bailing out want Puel out before Xmas. "There's no loyalty in football" they cry, before calling for Puels head.
  4. How do you explain at least 2 times he's been highlighted on MOTD as being our main threat & a good buy. Picked out by pundits who are ex pros. Now I realise that expros who make their living watching and commenting on players aren't as knowledgable as you , a bloke who posts on a football forum , but perhaps this indicates he isn't as bad as you make out
  5. Have a word with yourself. There's nothing "apparent" about it.
  6. The Lino having his flag up was the biggest clue
  7. He's as good a manager as Ron,he's just got a worse set of players . Ron had Mane , Pelle & Big Vic and failed in Europe & couldn't get into the League cup semi final.
  8. If I was VvD I'd be thinking , had I scored an absolute sitter in Israel , or an easy chance in Milan or an easy chance in Prague , we'd have qualified
  9. Jose is clearly Puels man to play with VvD, but Puel obviously believes he can't play 2 games a week and remain as effective as he is. He's decided to take the entirely sensible approach to play Yoshida in the Europa league instead. We should be able to beat the Israelis without him on Thursday, and if we do it's very much "job done". Out of the group stages, in a semi final and Jose Fonte still fit to play. I really don't see what people's issue is. Once we get into the knock out stages Puel may decide to play our strongest side and if he does, Jose will play. The bloke is still a good player, who forms a good partnership with VvD. Yes, he may have tipped slightly over the hill, but he's still an assest to the side . It's no coincidence Lovren, Toby and VvD settled so well at the club. Saying that, he's been a little bit out of order questioning Puels Europa league policy. I could understand his frustration if we were getting near to the final, but he must know the score and what Puel is trying to do. As captain, maybe he should have kept quiet over this. As for selling him . It's very much a heart/head thing for me. My head says sell in Jan if we get a decent offer, but my heart would love to see him finish his career here. He is after all " last man standing" from league 1 .
  10. I wonder what the Remain campaign said about a second vote, or parliament having a say.
  11. According to the Liberal Undemocrats and others the single market was never discussed during the campaign. People didn't know they were voting to come out.
  12. Not necessarily. Depends on what wages he's on.
  13. Oh for ****s sake . Give it up. He was a complete & utter waste of money.
  14. **** me, the simplest question ever put to the British people and the remoaners still try to claim it wasn't clear. Personally , im not against another vote . I'm all for a referendum on the terms of the deal May can secure outside of the EU. The British people should be given a choice . Mays deal outside the EU or WTO rules outside the EU. If May loses the vote then a GE should be called. Each party can then try and secure a mandate for their option. Liberal Undemocrats can campaign on rejoining the EU , labour on their vision of life outside the EU , UKIP & the Tories on theirs.
  15. Norbert Hofer maybe a populist right winger , but he could teach Clegg, Major , Soubry and the rest of the remoaners something about democracy. After his defeat he stated " the voters are always right".
  16. What will the € to £ ratio be tomorrow? Looking forward to discusing with the remoaners tomorrow
  17. Oliver having a nightmare, Rojo should be off and how Barry's not in the book is beyond me. Yellow tackle then deliberately breaking up attack with a hand ball
  18. Provided we get a result Thursday, it's still been a decent run . Beating Koeman , semi final & out our Europa league group.
  19. Lol, lol lol Turned off at 2-0 and went to watch my local under 18's as I didn't want to watch sky's Liverpool love fest . Just got in , lol
  20. He's just cost Boscombe a goal . Rushing out of his area like a headless chicken
  21. And by Dave Warson , successive England managers and pundits? I suggest that if we put him up for sale there will be plenty of takers , but hey what do they know compared to you .
  22. The second goal OR didn't follow his runner , but I guess being a forum hero we'll have to blame the keeper
  23. He's better than JRod .
  24. Pony . Our keeper cost us the game . Simple as that . That first goal changed the whole game .Our players were every bit as committed as theirs
  25. The FA won't give a shiny shiete . It's a football league competition
