The authorities have clearly given up on enforcing seating in certain areas of the ground & away supporters. Therefore it seems completely and utterly pointless to continue to oppose safe standing areas. At the moment we have non safe standing areas. I know it's the law, but the football authorities should be pushing for this asap. I'm in my 50's and although prefer sitting accept that when I buy an away ticket im going to stand. However, I'm not sure I'd like to at 65 and certainly not when I start taking my grandson away. Clearly, being able to pick your away seats will help, but having separate standing and sitting blocks has to be the way forward. Wembley is going to be interesting because there will be a lot of people not used to away games that'll be forced to stand or get upset. I wonder whether the club could have done more work with supporters groups/forums to "suggest" blocks for the more boisterous fans. Calling it a singing section maybe corny but "singing"'would clearly be code for standing. They can't be seen to encourage standing but they could have dropped some ****ing great hints. I just hope that everybody gets to watch the game in the manner they want to watch it and things don't get too heated . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Koeman wouldn't have got us anywhere near Europe without Vic, Mane & Pelle. Anyway he didn't strictly get us into Europe . Arsenal & Man C did . I guess we've been in so many finals that we can dismiss them as meaningless unless we win it. God help Puel if we happen to win on pens , no doubt you'll be claiming he " only won a penalty shoot out" . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's amazing that Poch or Koeman never got to a cup final seeing how easy it is. But of course we only got there because Liverpool are shiete. Let's just forget that that we've played them 3 times & have yet to concede ( they were blowing everyone away around the time of the first game) , Puel has never lost to Liverpool or that Klopp has never been knocked out in any of the semi finals he's reached. It really does make me laugh. Everybody would have taken a drop off in the league for a final pre season, but now it's not good enough. Thank god there was no internet around in '76 because some clowns would have been bemoaning the lack of promotion & citing luck in drawing a 4th division side in the quarters & 3rd division in the semis. Of course Lawrie did get stick at first, not that anyone will admit giving it.So at least the Internet gives us the opportunity to revisit some posts in the coming year or two. There's going to be some right chumps giving up season tickets and boycotting games if we're in the group stages of the EL again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't talk pony Apart from Jack Cork you can't name one player that has been sold who didn't want to leave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just because there's a lot of high earning EU nationals, does not mean that at the lower end of the wage scale, uncontrolled EU migration has not suppressed wages. But you crack on with dismissing people's concerns and keep calling them liars. Personally, I'm grateful for people with your attitude because without people like you , Brexit would never have happened. Your ilk have even ensured we have a "hard" Brexit. So I'm doubly thankful. The whinging and whining is just the icing on the cake. Perfect..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trains are a nightmare for this one as well. No trains between Basingstoke & Woking, being redirected towards bandit country Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Puel is one win away from becoming the first man since Lawrie to qualify for Europe without relying on other sides. WGS got in because Arsenal were already in CL. The last 2 years because CL clubs won cups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trains will be a nightmare & drinking round Wembley will be a nightmare . We've hired a mini bus , going to get to London about 11. Drink in Ealing , Harrow or somewhere similar & then hit Wembley about 3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Even if he hasn't played for a year you could chuck a class player into a cup final and he'd get by on adrenalin, however when it's a centre half who has to play in a partnership it does become extremely risky. My guess based on absolutely nothing is it's too early & we'll go for Yoshida & Stephens on the day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If it's that easy to reach a cup final it's funny how we never did so under Poch or Koeman when we were playing your uptempo style. I guess Sunderland & Sheff Utd were so much better than Arsenal & Liverpool . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why don't we do it at our first major cup final for 14 years and only our 3rd in 40 odd . That'll show the world what we think of Reed & Puel's utter failure this season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Davo is a decent mid table premier league player. The OP is a cock womble

It's funny how the games changed over the last few years. Even watching local stuff sides are pressing. I played with a few expros and they used to tell us to let the centre halfs have the ball and concentrate on stopping the full backs bringing the ball out from the back . Ball playing centre halves now mean you can't do that . The other thing I've noticed in the game is forwards now seem to be resting when their own side have the ball, rather than when the opposition have it. They don't make runs into the channels as much , and are pretty static whilst the back four fanny around with it. The work rate comes when they're trying to get the ball back

Thanks for the offer, very kind of you . I may take you up on that & email you but at the moment the project is very much in doubt . The finances are pretty much sorted but the major stumbling block is the timescales . Dec is just not realistic when we haven't got planning yet. I have a meeting with a builder next week who is interested in a joint project, but it'll leave me with a pretty hefty mortgage at the end of it. Although it'll only be for 10 years ( as I'm in my 50's) I'm not sure I want to swap my OK lifestyle for a lot less desposable income, even if it means living with fantastic sea views.

I didn't think we pressed very much under Koeman.

I'm lucky enough to have mine but do think this particular system is flawed in two ways . Away games clearly should count for members and also allowing people to become members purely to get tickets is BS. Where is the respect for people who were members before we got to a cup final? Counting the Arsenal & West Ham games confirms they're just chasing additional revenue rather than being scrupulously fair.

I'm sure Exeter away in league 1 was a ballot.

FAO: Season icket Holders NOT going to the final
Lord Duckhunter replied to waynesfc88's topic in The Saints
Why are people giving the op stick. He's only doing what countless others do every single away game. In fact, in the Milan thread I suggested that the club should bring measures in to ensure no using of others numbers, I was called a number of names and basically told to STFU. -
Any in Sydney? My lad lives out there but doesn't look at this forum.

Thanks for this, it's really helpful.
