  1. The blokes a pinko old duffer , but Ken Clarke has taken a principled stand. He voted against the referendum, campaigned for remain and represents a constituency that voted remain. As you say there are plenty who voted for a referendum who are now trying to move the goal posts . The time for little Timmy, Cleggy and other remoaners to raise points about the process was when the referendum act was going through parliament, not after they lost the vote. However take comfort from the fact that the remoaners attitude has boxed May into a corner and ensured there's no fudge. It'll be much more of a UKIP Brexit than it would have been had they accepted the result and worked with May on a "fix". When the glorious day comes that we leave the sinking ship behind I'll be raising a glass of Bishops Tipple to Clegg, Cameron, Osborne, Little Timmy, Soubry, Abbott, Carny and Steptoe because without their sheer incompetence and arrogance this would never have happened .
  2. We won't go down
  3. Looking at the plan I realise what the clowns done. He's booked the yellow ones rather than green.
  4. My mate booked today and let me know where he was so I can sit near him . He's in yellow section but reckoned he was only charged £56. He's in the second row so is this some sort of restricted view , is it a cock up or is he winding me up.
  5. If Puel gets us mid table with these defensive options will people finally accept he's a decent manager?

  7. I thought Stelling was being a twt . Why didn't he rant at Phil Thomson over liverpools changes , I bet he said **** all about Eddie Howe' weak Boscombe side the previous round . Full refund is a joke anyway, people got a partial refund in the ticket price . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It's my Mrs family & yes for various emotional reasons ( I don't really want to get into) the owner is desperate for it to remain within the family. My initial response was no ****ing way I'm happy where I am, but it's growing on me. The land is in an area that we will never be able to live in, so it really is a once in a life time opportunity. There is money to be made there , A lot of developers are sniffing around and he has had offers from them . You're right I do need expert advise and will clearly seek that, I was just throwing it out there to see what people who've built themselves think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the advise, I really wanted to gauge some opinions before spending money on expert advise. Everybody I speak to says go for it , but they're not neutrals they're friends who maybe won't tell me the harsh truth. Basically we don't need to pay for the land until the end of the year ( I couldn't afford it if we need to pay now). It's owned by a family member and he wants it kept in the family if at all possible. Nobody else in the family is interested and are all behind us. However he needs the money at end of the year for his dream move , so really can't throw his generosity back in his face by not paying on-time. It was his idea to build & sell one to pay him. Leaving us with half the land with planning permission and enough money left to build one to live in. Does anybody know the Capital gains tax implications. Can I offset the price of the whole land against capital gains. If I had to pay 600k for the whole land and get 800k for the first house, is it the 200k profit that's subject to capital gains. That's what I'm working on. If I can only offset 300k (half the land price) and have to pay CGT on 500k it's getting tighter and tighter. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. To cut a long story short I have an opportunity to acquire a decent bit of land that's prime for development and it won't cost me anywhere near the going rate. Approx 50% of the houses down the road in question have been rebuilt in the past 6 years and early discussions with the council have indicated that they'll be no issue with planning for 2 houses. The problem is I can raise the cash to buy the land and build one, but would need to sell that one to have the cash to build the second, which we intend to live in. I know building 2 at the same time is cheaper but it's just not possible . I have absolutely no building skills or experience so will be relying on a builder to do everything. I was wondering if anybody on here had any experience of this sort of thing and could advise of any pitfalls. Provided the first house is finished and sold by the end of the year, financially it'll be ok. An architect is all ready to start on the plans this week, and the finance is in place. I've been told 8-10 weeks for planning , 16-20 weeks for the build of one house. How likely is it to be finished by end of Dec ( because of the unusual way I'm paying for the land, it becomes a bit risky for me if it drags on until next year). And is it really possible for a novice to do something like this relatively smoothly? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. With us playing Man Utd quarter final weekend , we may have a particularly light league schedule the next few weeks. Spurs is 8 weeks after the Leicester game and if VvD's back for that he'll only miss 3 more league games ( if Utd beat Blackburn). He'll obviously miss the final, which is clearly a blow, but maybe we didn't want to be lumbered with an average player on high wages , after overpaying in the window, when Virgil's not missing too many league games. I'm ok with Stephens & Yoshida behind OR , but will be keeping my fingers crossed for the next 2 games. As I'm sure Les Reed will be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. There is only one thing that matters at the moment and that's the EFL final. We have 2 games to get through, before a 2 week break . 2 games for Yoshida & Stephens to build on their partnership and 2 games for OR to get through. Provided OR & Yoshida are playing on that Sunday , it won't be too bad, but I shudder to think what'll happen if one is out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Does Reed sign the wages off, does he sign the cheques? It's all well and good blaming him,but nobody knows his remit. Before I start slagging him off I'd like to know what budgets he was set and also the extent of VvD's injury. Only then can you make a judgement on a centre half not coming in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. He didn't say that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The attitude of White and Gray afterwards convinced me it was a set up. I had to turn off such was Whites level of arse kissing. Listening to him West Ham have signed the games greatest ever gentleman, such an honest wonderful guy . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Pony There was a play on words by Fonte & White. Instead of just asking " did you ask to leave" White teed him up by saying " did you hand in transfer request". Fonte then asked " what is that ", before the slam dunk answer " when you write to the club" . So he could have officially asked to leave, his agent could have asked in his behalf , he could have sent email ( as Matt claimed ) , is sending email strictly writing to the club??? Of course there's no written request , there never is. The whole thing was a set up, that's clear to anyone with half a brain. If it wasn't the first question would be " did you ask to leave" Reed never said he'd submitted a written transfer request, just that he'd officially asked to leave. Fonte tried to make les out to be a liar by answering a different question Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Why did he needed it explaining to him what a transfer request is . Gave Gray the chance to say "it's when you write to the club asking to leave". Lol no set up there. The question should have been " did you ask to leave " Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I would expect every single leader to put their country first, but when Trump says it the snowflakes go into meltdown Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Do you want Trump to put America second then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. White was a ****ing joke . Let him off the hook " did you put in transfer request" " what's a transfer request" ducking hell as if he didn't know . Now came the killer line " when you write to the club". Write to the club , not ask to leave . Made it easy for Jose to say " no I did not" . The question should have been " did you ask to leave" . White is now going into arse licking overdrive , so I'm switching off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Did anyone hear him on talk sport ? That arse licker White let him off the hook. "Did you put in a transfer request" he asked Jose. "What's a transfer request"(as if he didn't know) came the reply . "When you write to the club asking to leave", the reply " no I did not". That was it, white then went on and on about putting the record straight and digging at club . The simple question was "did you ask to leave" , I doubt even Payet put it in writing , it just doesn't happen . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Kaveh Solhekol – Verified account ‏@SkyKaveh Crystal Palace trying to sign Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool before tomorrow's deadline. Problem = high valuation (£20m) & big wages Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
