Doesn't fit Poch 's system, or Rons or even Steve Bruce's . Personally I don't buy the played well under Adkins either, weren't the Gastonettes hoping that Porch would give him the chances Adkins never did. Whose system will he fit, because I'm sure we'd loan him out. Ask yourself why he can't find a club then decide who is the emotional one.

Is it right for the media to use images of refugee tragedy?
Lord Duckhunter replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
The number of migrants considered " enough " is subjective . For some a UK population of 60 million is too many , for some its 100 million . He didn't say anything about the expense or the effect on peoples lives. Just that in his and many others opinion we have had enough immigration. That can't be proved or disproved by any statistics. -

So what's so bad or dangerous about Turkey? -

How can you " statistically " prove one opinion against another? He didn't say anything that's provable one way or the other. -

For clarity , do you think people risking their children's lives by sailing from Turkey to Greece are asylum seekers whose lives are in danger or economic migrants? -
He has not got a " decent international record" . If its just a question of the English game, then surely a foreign club would be interested in him, even on loan. Even that head banger Osvaldo attracted suitors . Maybe Aston Villa should buy him. After that performance revered in Saints folklore, forget The Mathews Final, " The Villa game" will be remembered long after we're all gone. The day that a **** poor shambles of a side we're ripped apart by the legend that is Gaston . The £12m performance , worth every penny. Had Levy , Rodgers or Redknapp signed him and then kept banging on about one performance against sheite opposition , telling everybody he " clearly has talent" this forum would be collectively ****ing themselves laughing.

Politicians have to take the emotion out of decisions , you can not make policy on the back of isolated events or the latest news cycle ( this is why you end up with millions being spent looking for one missing child) . Hard as it is, when you take the emotion out of this , your question is a good one. When do people stop becoming refugees and start becoming economic migrants ? -
When are people going to give it up. " Clearly got talent " are people on a wind up? Mr Woo clearly had talent, he could juggle the ball, do all sorts of circus tricks , the problem comes when there' s other people trying to get the ball off him . Some people completely and utterly over rate him which is laughable considering he never plays. Its nothing to do with injuries or managers not using him correctly and everything to do with him not being very good. To say he's better than Steve Davis is an insult to a proper footballer. Why some people are baffled he's still here if Rons not going to use is beyond me . The reason he's still here is very simple, nobody else wants him.

The media do seem rather selective about which dead bodies or dead children they show . I guess it's because the families won't see the pictures and therefore it won't cause them distress ,but there's no way an English kid would be pictured like this . As VFTP says maybe it'll make people stop and think about the language they use and bring home the pure horror of what's happening . There's no doubt that pictures and films of horrendous stuff turned people against the Vietnam war,so maybe the people can lead and shape the politicians response to all this . Personally when I see stuff like I this I thank my lucky stars I won the lottery of life and was born in a country that despite all it's faults is safe and secure . I also question how anyone believes that there can be any sort of God. -
He wouldn't come back even if we did want him. My Mrs works with a member of his close family and there isn't much love for our supporters or the hierarchy at the club. I think this divorce is permanent.

Complete and utter nonsense. " Genius, close control and vision" , are you deluded. "Love him or hate him", do me a favour. He's a complete and utter waste of money, a fraud , nicking a living. Comparing him to le Tiss is like comparing the Beatles to S club 7. Alan Ball, like Nigel Adkins, Poch , Ron & Steve Bruce would have dropped him .
-
Can I mention " The Villa game" , no Gaston thread is complete without somebody bringing it up. We've already had " clearly talented " , so I missed out on that one .

Credit to Matt Le Tiss...and Stephen Fry Norwich fan!!

I bet fry doesn't know the offside rule. -
" Engineered" by the right , what you on about man ? If we end up with your " one party state " the only engineering involved was by the clowns that " engineered " Old Jezzas nomination.

Very nice and friendly supporters , had lots of decent away days there . Coach & Horses is defo in my Football Beer guide , one of my favourite away day pubs .

Plus I'd rather see utd in top 4 rather than Liverpool or spurs

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 3-0 Norwich City
Lord Duckhunter replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Second half Targett actually looked like a full back , won a couple of good one on ones when I was convinced he was squared up and about to be skinned . Right side was great today , Cedric having his best game and shows great promise , get RB in at left back and if Tadic plays like that , we will be dangerous down the flanks . Romeu looked the part , JWP had his best game I've seen . Pelle looks sharp and there's signs JRod is getting there. Jose best game of the season, although Maya is a worry . Things are looking up finally , but typically , we hit a bit of form and there's now no game for 2 weeks Tadic my motm , turned them inside out first half and 2 goals . -
Looks like LVG leaving out his unsettled keeper is biting him in the arse . He'd have saved both of them

Is anyone still defending James Ward-Prowse?
Lord Duckhunter replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
The only place he's going to make it is as a defensive midfielder . In that respect he did well today , tactically good and played some good passes . Needs to do it when we're up against it to convince me , but he didn' t look like a little boy lost today . Don't get the set piece specialist gig though . Is he the only free kick expert on the premiership ( and all sides have them nowadays ) that doesn't actually score. Interesting comments from stan Collymore in the week , he claims too many modern players are more worried about taking set pieces like Beckham or Ronaldo that they don't get the basic right , the basic being " put it in a dangerous area " . JWP is like that , looks good lining up his corners and free kicks , but how many have an end result? -
The first thing to point out is that west brom have been playing without Berahino , so have they handled it particularly well . How many points would they have had he been playing and are their message boards going into meltdown. Secondly if both their players stay against their will. What do they do come Weds ? I'm sure both have an eye on the euros , so they knuckle down and stay in Woys thoughts , throwing their toys out of the pram, refusing to play or playing badly and they can kiss goodbye to England next summer. Are our two in the same boat , will their national teams drop them, is there an Africian cup next summer? Trying to second guess what we should do or comparing us to others is pointless , every situation is different. If Victor played for Everton and stones for us, Victor would have had a tummy upset today and Stones would be facing Norwich tomorrow . IMO

The gravy train is leaving the station soon , maybe he's worried there's nobody else he can nick a living off .

Lord Duckhunter replied to brett24's topic in The Saints
No chance , he's touch is pretty poor , passing is non existent and he slows play up too much . No side in the top four would touch him , he's not at that level .
