I just got mine online and no "ticket tax". Question is, is this a **** up or another NC policy being relaxed?

The real reason that we sacrificed the cups...
Lord Duckhunter replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
If MP wasn't botherd about winning the game, why did he bring Morgan and JRod on? The simple truth is that a lot of foregin managers and players dont give a shiny shiete about the cup, the FA cup is now viewed exactly the same as the overseas ones. Its all well and good banging on about it, but 17k people told its own story, as did our gates in previous rounds. Last year I went to the Chelsea game and there were no regular st holders anywhere near me. People dont care about it, until we go out, then all of a sudden its a big deal. I feel sorry for the guys who went up there, but they shouldn't have been surprised by the side (although the performance must have shocked them). At the end if the day MP didn't want us to lose, but would rather lose that game than ANY league game. Forget all this pony about it enhancing his repuation abroad by winning the cup, its nonsense. Finishing above Man Utd and Newcastle will get him more credit abroad than a cup win. Until a champions league place is on offer, the cup will never regain its appeal . And unless we have a manager like Adkins or a similar "dreamer" the league will always take priority. End of. -
The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
Lord Duckhunter replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Perhaps somebody could post an example of a club that is run for the benefit of the fans, cause I can't think of one. -
Barry Sanchez 16 - Happy Clappers 0
Lord Duckhunter replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Muppet Show
If Bazz has 16 points, a"bit" of a knob must be worth 4. -
I agree with this, although it would be funny as **** and they may even do a Luton and stay down for a while. Momentum is a big thing and if they did storm the conference, could see them going right through league 2 in one go. Grubbing around like Plymouth for a few seasons will really depress them and knock the fight out of all but a few deluded half wits.

Ludicrous team selection. Utter madness.
Lord Duckhunter replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
When are people going to wake up and smell the coffee, the FA cup doesn't mean a thing to a lot of people in the game and supporters. The gate shows that today, the performance of the players shows that today and the side both managers picked showed that. Its finished , gone, its like the Rolling Stones a nostalgia trip for the over 40's. Nobody wants the reward that comes with it, particularly in a world cup year. The premeirship is the be all and end all of everything. People like Rickie and lallana can go on about it, how important it is, but its just talk. The difference in attitude and application today was stark. Does anybody really think the players were busting a gut to get a reply? Not a chance they went out hoping to win, rather than dying to win. -
That's it. The players have been sheite, including some first choice ones.

Or perhaps DLT was not guilty.

This is what ****s me off about those half wits. Don't they understand its no big deal to be getting gates like this 3/4 years after 7 years or so in the top flight. Look at todays premeir league, if a club did a skatemouth and found themselves in league 2, how many wouldn't have gates like that? Fulham, maybe Hull and Swansea. We would, Norwich would, west ham would, Sunderland would, plus all the top sides . There's also loads of championship sides that would as well. All in all i reckon 30 odd clubs would match it, that's a third of all professional clubs. They dont seem to understand, they have cheap tickets, its a "fresh start" for them, they've only been down there a year. There aren't many clubs of their size that wouldn't get that support in those circumstances. It only becomes impressive if after 5 years, 10 years,15 years of dross they're still averaging similar numbers. They have a pretty decent hard core, but its no bigger than half the clubs in the country. Palace are getting some good reviews around their fans, are they bigging themselves up, are the Croydon news reporters creaming their pants?

If it was benefits street that was flooded and Fat Dee (or whatever her name is) had to wade through raw sewage to get up the offie for her booze and fags, people like aintforever would be demanding government action and compo. When its country folk whose homes have been flooded after a change of policy from the environment agency and EU rules , it appears to be their own fault for living there. Lets keep sending aid to India, whilst they fund a space program and forget about our hard working Brits who deserve our help and support. Typical.

The Police compensationj culture continues
Lord Duckhunter replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
If I was smoking in airport toilets and got roughed up slightly it would be my own fault. The police have better things to do than investigate somebody having a crafty fag. You're lucky you didn't get a wasting police time charge. -

Oh come on, you must be able to see the funny side. I certainly can lol. Btw, it is pretty irresponsible to be smoking in airport toilets in this day and age. Any sign of smoke, or smoke alarms could cause a panic. Perhaps you should get one of those electric ones. -

They apologised and said they were only doing their job, perfectly reasonable IMO. What more did you want, a meeting with the head honcho ala Plebgate? -

What's your problem with the police Viking, they do a bloody tough job and do it well. Yes, there maybe a few rotten apples, but less than in most jobs. I dont get this country sometimes, we honour and respect the army, god help anyone who dares to slag off a nurse, doctor or teacher, yet the police are fair game for all sorts of weird and wonderful nonsense. -
I've played sky and virgin off against each other a couple of times. Martin Lewis had an ex sky employee lifting the lid on the deals you can get. He gave the rundown , the times to call and the months you'll get better deals. Now is a good time because there's a lot of cancellations after Xmas. He said they have x amount of deals , so go to them in the middle of the month. Too early and they keep deals back so there's not so many, too late and they'll be gone. Bloke reckoned the retention deals and writtern into their margins. He said insist you really love it , but just can't afford it. I made out my mrs was pregnant once and therefore was only getting statutory maternity pay and we needed to cut back. They gave be a great deal for a year, to stay. After a year I played them off against virgin and they matched the deal. Im still with virgin but struck it lucky when one of my mates sister got a job with them. She had 10 mates rates deals to give away, so provided we have everything and all tv channels we get it for half price. Just shows that their margins are high, because any staff discount would only be at cost at the very lowest level.

Talks between Poch and SFC Leadership
Lord Duckhunter replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Di Cannio was a football person, as was Joe ****ing kinnear -
I thought it was the CPS not the police that decide if there is enough evidence. They obviously decided it wasn't "pointless".

Depends on what the level of investment was and what the ambition of the club was. If we're going to have the level of finance of a Norwich, wba or Fulham , id rather have Nigel than some of the chumps who get linked with every premiership vacancy. If Pardew can do ok at Newcastle , then nigel could do ok . Personally, if the money went I'd have a look at Eddie Howe, or someone of that ilk, but I wouldn't be unhappy with nigel.

Adkins isn't as good a manager as MP,.but he's not some sort of 4-4-2 Fat Sam clone. We played some decent stuff under him and would have continued to do so. If we need to cut our cloth accordingly, I'd rather have him back than Pardew. -
Facebook: is it a good or a bad thing?
Lord Duckhunter replied to Halo Stickman's topic in The Lounge
I have traced many mates I worked with and used to play football with through it. Met up with a scouser I hadn't seen for 23 years at anfield game last season through it. Don't add mates I see regularly or work people and also avoid ex chicks or totty I used to fancy. As a tool for keeping in touch with people abroad or living away its great. -
That other swivel eyed right wing loon Tony Benn is very anti EU as well. Its not about wanting to return to the empire, or sending johhny foreigner home , its about British people deciding levels of immigration. Something that can never happen until we leave the EU.
-
So in a thread about whether its racist to worry about immigration, you link the BNP to UKIP and then make the pathtic and ignorant point that its "easy" to link Tories to nazis. And then go on to add that people who worry " want their cake and eat it". Well done in one glorious post you've proved yet again how lefties shut down debate by lies and slurs. Its what always happens the left warn about discussing this sensibly and avoiding inflammatory language, before doing just that themselves.
-
There you've done it again, trying to link UKIP with the BNP. The closer comparison in the run up to the EU elections would be The Greens, who polled similarly in the past. However, that wont sit with your "UKIP are racist" agenda. UKIP is the only party that bans people who were previously members of the BNP, by the way. All parties have loons, from Diane Abbot saying West Indian mothers want the best for their children and white people cant understand it, to Tories dressing up as Nazi's. Lib/Dems and Macshane going to clinck and Hughes running the most blatant anti gay campaign ever, despite batting for the other side himself. The establishment want to portray anyone who has concerns about immigration as bigots, from Mrs Duffy to Nigel Farage. As I said earlier, what is more racist. Treating people differently on the basis of their nationality, or treating everbody the same?
-
Sounds like mob rule to me. Just because a few lefties organise incidents to basically close down free speech (if you believe these are just spontaneous displays from ordinary Joe's , you're deluded) does not make him hated. How do you explain his poll rating's compared to Cleggys and Millibands. Personally, I cant wait for the European elections when he sticks it to the man. Coupled with Ceggys bunch of Euro loons getting wiped out, the European elections are going to shake up the establishment.

I bumped into somebody at Fulham who works at the club and I hadn't seen for ages. He claimed the day after NC left some office staff bought in party whistles and were blowing them in celebration. Don't know if it's true, but he's not the type to make things up. I'm 50/50 on that one, but he also told me that the happiest people around are Mr & Mrs Les Read, particularly Mrs Read who hated him. Now I don't even know if Read is married, but I do know that this guy knows Read, that's 100%.
