I was there at that one. There was quite a big crowd of us that day, not much going on on the pitch, but some great banter with a couple of mates. I think I've still got some socks I bought that day. Am I right in thinking it started ****ing it down later?

Careful, criticising TiT is an insult to Ron Davies. Is that what you want to do? Insult Ron Davies, a saints legend? TiT has helped him you know, although he doesn't like to talk about it much and only mentions him on relevant threads.

I do a lot of skiing, but in ten years here, I've still never done downhill. I'm sure the kids and pensioners would g zoom past me at that as well though.
-
How much of a **** he is is all down to opinion though, isn't it? I mean, there are loads of saints fans on here that I find far more annoying and moronic than he is. If I pay my fiver can I start threads about them? Like I say, I don't mind it, as long as we can do it for everyone.

A whole thread to make digs at another poster? A mod posting on it too. It's odd the rules that mods seem to get zealous about. I don't really mind it myself as long as the mods are even handed and allow all threads created only to pick on individual posters.

TiT, when you've posted nonsense and are picked up on it, be man enough to accept it, rather than constantly hiding behind whatever heartwarming thing you've done for Ron Davies. It's a bit crap to keep referring to him on a thread where you're rightly being criticised on another topic.

It's been pretty crap by Norway this year (again). It might be a small country, but EVERYONE here does cross-country skiing, even my two year old daughter is learning and my four year old is takes her skis to nursery, yet they're not winning many medals in that or biathlon. In fact they've done better at downhill skiing which is less popular here. I've never been sure what bothers me most when I go skiing, the 3 year olds powering past me, or the ninety year olds.

There's been snow on the ground here since before Christmas which is a new record. Just as it was starting to disappear, it's all back today, deep as ever. Nobody here ever misses school or work because of snow though, even though I had to dig my car out today, all my students were there waiting for me when I arrived. Bastards.

Boj and Eddie?

Be fair, Paul Calf hasn't been on telly for ages. How can spadeface come up with new material without his role-model?
-
Well that's clearly flawed thinking isn't it? You asked for the most successful team at first, but that doesn't mean much, as being part of the team that beat Hartlepool doesn't make you worse than being in the team that lost to Leeds. Now you are asking for our best team. Well the most effective way to get that is for people who have seen matches to pluck out the best players they have seen, which they are doing.

Fuller was very good for us and our results were far better when he played. However, this was at that weird time when everybody said we needed a million pound striker and we got Fuller for 95 000 from Pompey. Therefore it was decided he was derided before he even started. He wasn't a high scorer, but he did play well.

DD sub man liks arse

Why does this tosser, Tijuana Tim always believe his opinions are too important to go on the relevant threads? I am sick of him always starting a new thread to talk about things when there are lots of threads already going. Rope your ego in and post on the match reaction thread, just like other people reacting to the match.

Kadeem Hardison: adores him naked

Not on in a single pub in Bergen, and I've called them all. Still, I get ITV at home, so I'll see it anyway.

I agreed with all of those and most of them have had at least one thread on here where Saints fans have said just the same. What's the problem? There have been loads of **** things about saints over the years. Mostly on the pitch, which they hardly mentioned.

Superb humour!

Out of interest, what reason was given for the main board banning? I looked on the rules list but can't find anything about it.

Bring back Kadeem!

Pretty much all bathrooms in Norway have under floor heating. It's the best thing ever, always stepping onto warm tiles. We also have it in our entrance hall. I think I'd only use it in a tiled room though.

There's a very different meaning between "I feel good." and "I feel well." and both are equally correct in context. To say "I feel well." either means "I feel healthy." if well is used as an adjective, or "I am quite good at feeling." if used as an adverb. In a similar way "I feel happy." has a different meaning to "I feel happily.".

Some people call their selves native English speakers.

I think it could certainly be read that way.

This is all such a load of reactive nonsense. I've spent years teaching at primary schools in England and then at international schools following British systems. We always had weekly spelling tests at all levels and a large part of the timetable for English was given over to grammar work. This was all followed up with homework. Grammar and spelling are still being taught in schools and are still considered important. Most of the damage is done by children being enabled by their parents to spend excessive amounts of time using the internet, where good grammar is often frowned upon, and being given mobile phones at a young age, not just for emergency use, but as a social tool. On top of this children are allowed to watch large amounts of television where poor grammar is often used. Some parents, unbelievably, even put TVs and internet into children's bedrooms. I would like to see the curriculum you've obviously got hold of, that doesn't contain grammar as a key skill. Teachers can only fight so hard against the environment parents are putting their children into.
