  1. Haven't several great Saints players gone to Pompey towards the end of their career? Mick Channon and Ron Davies did at least and Alan Ball and Ted MacDougal as non-players. Are there other notable ones?
  2. Doesn't this exact kind of comment appear on several threads already? Why do some people feel they have to start a new thread every time they want to post something. Oh yeah, they don't want it to get lost on the thread... Self important bunch of ****ers.
  3. You get the Solent commentary on Saints Player.
  4. Leslie Philips
  5. The fact that you are coming across like a keyboard mental.
  6. Superb humour!
  7. StupidRomseySpadeface is a winner! He paid his five pounds.
  8. A few years back Kraft took over Norway's main chocolate producer, Freia. They kept the products the same, but after a short while they changed the recipe for the chocolate. I don't know anybody who thought it was a change for the better.
  9. My brother is the main sponsor of Romsey Town FC and has been for a few years. I've only ever heard people of about 70 call it Rumsey and never seen it written that way. Like anybody who grew up there, I've appeared in the Romsey Advertiser at least ten times.
  10. I'm talking about telly, not iplayer.
  11. Well, if I live in Norway and I can select any BBC region, surely most people can?
  12. Is nobody going to do one of those team lists with number ratings at the side so that I can form my opinions about the team in more of a Football Manager style way? I don't want to read paragraphs and consider positives, negatives and more complicated factors.
  13. I ski loads and it never costs me a thing, but I assume you mean downhill, which I don't do. Norway's not exactly a cheap place to come to either.
  14. Reading that forum they seem delighted to have gotten rid of a fairly poor squad player on inflated wages... Hope he has a new lease of life for us, because we've already got a few overpaid squad players. Mind you, he was free, we just need him for a while and it's only a 6 month contract, so it sounds like a reasonable punt.

  16. This is showing quite a few people up for ignorance on the nanny state and liberal name calling. Surely in a nanny state the government take a more intrusive and directly interfering role with their powers. This is a move in the other direction. Powers to interfere and control are being taken away from the state here, whether for better or worse. Colinjb, by complaining about this, you're calling for more of a nanny-state.
  17. The link worked before. Now it doesn't. It wasn't a fake, but it might not be right either. Wiki does say he's been released though, so it wouldn't be strange.
  18. The US version was on Norwegian telly and the first few episodes, which were just the auditions were hilarious. The actual proper programme was just dull though.
  19. Both of these posts utterly ignore the fact that the bottlenose dolphins being discussed aren't in the least endangered. The points about it not being a staple diet are ridiculous. If we are only allowed to eat animals that are "staple diet", what does that leave? People survive without eating meat at all. surely that means all farming and butchering of animals, cows, lambs, pigs, fish, chickens etc, is unnecessary. Bred and cultivated? Do you only eat fish from fish farms? If it's only OK to eat creatures bred for it that rules out all fish caught in the sea.
  20. Are they killing an endangered type of dolphin? If they are, then it's a bad thing. If they're not, it is morally no worse than killing any other type of animal.
  21. Other culture's eat lots of things you might not. Personally I regularly eat reindeer and moose. Those moose are shot in the wild. Few people in Britain eat that sort of thing. Similarly British people eat plenty of food nobody else eats, like black pudding or British beef, or all that **** they put in the sausages in England. Why isn't it "one step further" to eat pork? Nobody needs to. Pigs are intelligent creatures.
  22. Are you intelligent enough to actually think this comment through to its conclusion? Which animal is it that we do need to eat? Come to that which fruit, vegetable or cereal is it that we need to eat? A comment of such stupidity the only thing that surprises me more is that somebody actually quoted it to agree with it later.
  23. This actually happens very often. Moose are the animal in Norway responsible for most human deaths, not the bears or wolves, usually through traffic accidents. In fact they feed the wolves in a wildlife park here just on meat from moose hit by trains. You have to be very careful driving in some areas at night, in winter they come down to lick the salt off the roads, and they quite often take shelter in the entrance to tunnels. I've seen quite a few and they are more the size of a horse than a deer. They taste good though. One moose will fill a couple of freezers up easily. We've just finished eating the meat from one my father in law shot 2 years ago.
  24. Oh dear... 5 down
  25. That should read "we pedants".
