Well you may have a point as I couldn't be arsed to read the whole thread. However I have just read all FF's posts on this thread and I stand by what I said. If there are tensions and I think you will find there are tensions between chairman and managers in the majority of football clubs then no, I don't want to know about it. Some people on here seem to think that as fans of the club we have a divine right to know intimate details about the running of the club, we don't.

Actually, you bloody well should be. This is sh*t stirring of the highest order and just what you would expect from a high ranking union official. If I had been party to that information I would have passed on the first two lines but said nothing about the last two as it does our club (which FF is supposed to love) absolutely no favours.

I think it has got to the stage where people react to Alpine's posts just becuase it is him posting. There was not much wromg with his original post although perhaps the words 'I think' would have made it sound better, rather than his usual statement of fact.

I know we all like to laugh at what has happened to PFC but this is the really sad side of things.

Many thanks to all on here for your advice. We went for Nike ones with moulded studs, bought them from JJB. The shop assistants were of course utterly useless and fairly ignorant, but I suppose that is par for the course in that type of store.

It amazes me how worked up people get at the timing on the announcements. Clearly they were waiting to find out the full extent of the injury before saying anything. The club have been consistent in only making announcements when they have the full picture and not responding to rumours, accurate or not.

I'm a little surprised but not disappointed. I think AP/NC know how to run a football club a lot more than I do.

Agreed, the ones at the rear are oval shaped and there are two long 'blades'. However, if you've seen my daughter play football you'd think that 'odd' looking boots may suit her!!

My daughter will be starting secondary school in September and on the long list of items she needs to get are football boots. Of course she's more into dancing than football (although she sometimes accompanies me to SMS, sorry Stu/Dave) but we will obviously have to get her some. The thing is it's years since I bought a pair of footie boots and looking on the web there are clearly two types HG (hard ground) which I assume will be 'blades' and SG (soft ground) which I assume will be full studs. We don't want to be buying two pairs so which should I go for, blades or studs?
