4-5-1 or 4-4-2 ?

It's a good point St. Will is making and it's what puts me off buying a season ticket. Firstly I'm not able to go to every game and secondly sometimes I go on my own, sometimes with a mate and sometimes with my 10yr old daughter. I can't justify buying 2 adult ST's but would quite happily pay for myself and my daughter (12yr pair) and then 'upgrade' to an adult ticket on a match by match basis for my mate.

It's interesting that we have already played most of the teams in the top half of the table. We are still to play Leeds, Norwich and Hartlepool (who are 10th). So in theory we have a lot of 'easier' games before the mid-point of the season. I think we have a good chance, if we maintain this form to get to the middle of the table by the end of the year. This will put us in prime positiion for a play-off place.

Well SH, how was it for you? I was sat in the Kingsland and it was pretty good for me!!

Have to say it's becoming quite Arsenal like the way we keep 'grinding' out the same scoreline: 3-1 to the Southampton, 3-1 to the Southampton

Very satisfying - insights from Thursday's training

I thought this was intelligent play from Antonio, the LB was getting really tight on him. The flick and chase which lead to the free kick for the second goal was great.

I saw that Herr Liebherr was at the game again today. Once again I noticed him 5 or so minutes before the game stood up leaning forward on the railings at the front of the director's box looking around his 'estate'. I don't know why but it just made me smile, I can't help feeling he's absolutely loving owning this football club at the moment.

Great game and a brilliant second half performance. Just want to mention a few players. Antonio was MOTM for me, was so impressed by the way he flicked the ball past their LB (who got very tight on him) and then beat him for pace, showed a lot of intelligence. Felt sorry for Papa who tried hard and actually pressurised the LB into making mistakes, he just needs to stop getting offside. I actually thought Connolly looked very rusty (understandably so), his first touch was poor on a number of occasions. But when he's back to full sharpness then boy have we got a bargain. The debate over 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 makes me smile, the great thing is that we have options! Best feeling at a game for a long, long time.

Getting from your car to the stadium is the problem. I was going to park near to the Mayflower (wife & daughter going to Sound of Music). Perhaps now I'll park near SMS and make them walk

If you are going from Vista to Windows 7 then it is just an upgrade. If you go from XP to Windows 7 then it's a completely new install.

Disappointing when you fail to get a response, but this should tell you all you need to know: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/MatchdayHopsitalityIndex/0,,10280,00.html

I've been to the Mike Channon suite a number of times but the format there has changed. Have been invited by a client to the Norwich game next month in the MLT suite, looking forward to that, anyone been?

If I remember correctly in at 12-12.30, out at 6pm, GM should have a better idea. Unfortunately it's not quite as good as the Chelsea box as seen on Masterchef last night, although that did cost £1M per year (allegedly!).

Was in one a couple of years ago for the Barnsley game, lost 3-2. I was quite impressed, the only thing lacking was the atmosphere you get in the suites as everyone is in one big room. You are made to feel like royalty, personal waitress service, plenty of food and drink. Interesting that alcoholic drinks have to be locked away whilst the game is on. TV in the room to catch up with other scores although our TV was faulty. Great view of the pitch. Enjoy!!

I tend to agree. I have always been of the opinion that EVERY team needs a 'Makalele', someone to simply sit in front of the back four and give the ball to the more creative midfielders. Great shout from GM, this role would have suited Saffri perfectly. I'm sure AP is fully aware of Wotton's limitations but at the moment he is the best bet to fill this role. Howvever, I do wonder if Hammond might do this job even better.

For me the low point was after the Bristol Rovers game. Everything had been put right off the pitch. The team looked good, we actually played very well that night but still ended up losing. I was thoroughly down after that game but since then we haven't looked back.

You seem to be getting very angry again Alpine I do tend to agree with you though. TBH I stopped buying newspapers a few years ago because of the rubbish in them. Now I just dip into the news websites now and again. Or of course if I really want to be entertained, log into this forum to see how you and St. Will are getting on. :smt014

Any chance you two could stop poisoning all the threads with your petty arguments....please

The trouble with a number of people on here (and you know who you are!) is that they're so aggressive and argumentative. As soon as someone takes the opposite view then the insults start flying, it's pathetic.

Nice one, I was too lazy to copy and pates it.

Great picture of Harry Redkrap on the BBC Homepage, they've caught him mid twitch

Totally agree. At least we didn't lose the Millwall game so perhaps Herr Liebherr has seen off the curse!!

Have you forgotten about the Sky curse?
