Good shout, I had forgotten about him. I would also like to see Dowie. I think we have to accept Strachan, Keegan & Shearer would not be interested in managing a League 1 club.
-
I agree with this. I don't want Tony Adams. Like many others I would love WGS to come back to the club, I just don't think it's going to happen. If TA was to be become manager I would be very disappointed but it would make no difference to my support for the club. I realise this makes me mental, wibble wibble
-
You mean, similar outrage to when Strachan was appointed?
-
Fantastic news. Read what he says about holding himself responsible for our position. Total, total respect to the guy.
-
This thread is f*****g unbelieveable! Our new owner (God bless him) can employ whoever he sees fit to run the club. I have far greater respect for his ability to recruit the right people than some of the 'experts' on this forum. I have to say some of the opinions on how the administrator should do his job (on other threads) were laughable. We should all stick to opinions on football.

nice  -
'Tension builds' they've been looking at this forum again!
-
BBC report states: "Before a deal can be completed, there are several issues that have to be sorted out, including the Football League carrying out a period of due diligence on the club's prospective new owners." Anyone know how long a period lasts?
-
So we're just waiting for the FL now then.........no worries
-
Russian tycoon, please go on.........
-
Why do you assume this?

According to the Echo the Swiss group WERE negotiating with creditors: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4467677.Potential_foreign_owners_in_late_night_Saints_talks/

Apparently there was some damage to a wall that use to have a picture of a train hanging on it
-
......or the Swiss ?
-
This would all be highly ammusing if it wasn't our club. i don't know whether to laugh or cry
-
This makes a lot of sense to me, but I am starting to worry now that the FL will NOT give any assurances because they fully intend to deduct additional points when we fail (for good reason) to produce a CVA. Without this assurance Pinnacle won't sign. Perhaps I am being over pessimistic.
-
I agree. "certain aspects of the agreement need alteration, without which it is our firm belief that you would be exposing the Club to risk" I think this is the most telling part of TL's statement. It's been my concern all along that the real sticking point is the possibility of further points deductions.
-
Good to see he has a sense of humour, he'll need it looking at this forum.
-
Go on then, post what you have heard.
-
If the 'offer' from the FL is: League 1, -10 pts deduction, no right of appeal and a guarantee of no further points deductions then surely Pinnacle should accept this. I think at this late stage this would be acceptable to most people.
-
This looks fairly positive news (if true). It looks like Pinnacle want to push their 'right to appeal', I just hope this does not create an impasse. You have to feel a bit sorry for MLT, he quite rightly has been speaking to many people in the game for advice etc. and thanks to a couple of photos everything assumes it's KK for manager. I just hope the deal goes through today.

I reckon moving house is less stressful than this
