I think the choice of words from the OP is a little inappropriate, I think ML & NC will be extremely careful how any money is spent. However if true it's good news. I would love to know how much operating profit the club has made since ML took over.

In answer to the OP I would say no. IMO there is something lacking in midfield and I'm hopeful that AP will be making a signing there. Hopefully the defence is sorted now, I see no problems with the attack, we just need to strenghen the midfield. Brian Stock please.

Some people on here need to rewind the clock back 6 months and remember where we were then. I for one have absolute faith in AP and NC to make the right signings and at the right price.

Clearly AP is also thinking about him as not just a CB but also as back-up to Harding.

I'm sure we will both agree on being happier having ML as an owner than Al-Mirage down the road. I am extremely impressed with the way ML & NC quietly go about their business. I do think we need to get rid of some of the dead wood AP inherited to cut the wage bill.

Not sure I agree with this. We have already lost some of the high earners on CCC wages and will hopefully lose one or to more. We also no longer have to pay mortgage payments on the stadium (£4M p/a I believe?) and attendances are up on last season. Also I seem to remember reading that transfers would be funded by ML himself just like the training ground development. So I see no reason why we should be running at a loss. We certainly won't have a debt of £22M like Norwich.

I think our current problems are more to do with the midfield rather than the defence. We need a holding midfielder to protect the back four.

Murty IS struggling with injuries. I'd have thought a decent RB is a high priority. Clearly AP had suspicions about Murty's injury problems which is why he signed him on a specific contract.

No disgrace in losing 1-0 to the league leaders. Just need to get a couple of good results before the end of the year. The good thing is that we are still 9 pts from the play-off places so we have not lost any ground on the real target.
