  1. Maths is far easier now. Fact.
  2. You're just a lurker on that one then?
  3. Exactly. The whole mindset is wrong.
  4. No, I imagine he's trying to change the invidious mindset that getting a clutch of A-C grades equates to "succeeding" in education. Of course results should get worse. The point of top grades is to identify the cream, the elite. Not to pacify and mislead the average. If there is grade-inflation then exams aren't doing their job.
  5. No, they have said they are getting easier.
  6. No it isn't. **** off anyway, you despicable ****.
  7. Who said they were "easy"?
  8. This doesn't even merit debate. When I did my GCSEs I sat an Additional Maths paper. This was an additional GCSE that was harder than Maths and was supposed to challenge the brightest. It was an old O-level paper and it covered most of the first year of A-level maths. QED. Combine obvious regressive measures like this with schools teacing Mickey Mouse subjects, hordes of semi-literate bog-standard people at "universities" and exam boards which can't even check their own papers properly and you evidently have a discredited exam system.
  9. Can I suggest we don't have his name on it, on the offchance some dinlo spells it incorrectly. There is evidence to suggest that scenario is a possibility.
  10. No, no I didn't!
  11. Oh my god:
  12. Discounting Jocks, Taffs and Paddys and based only on players I actually saw play in the flesh (and also going for a back three on account of only being able to think of Skacel at left back): -------------------Niemi----------------- ------Svennson----Fonte-----Claus------ Tessem------Schneiderlin----Ekelund-----Belmadi -----------Berkovic--------Pahars-------- -----------------Ostenstad---------------- Not much protection for the back 4 but would be lovely to watch when it actually had the ball! On the bench: Keller?! Fernandes Jaidi Cherednik Kachloul Guly Delgado Squaddies: Monkou van Gobbell Jones Saiejs (for that free-kick at Watford, if nothing else) Slater Safri Viafara Can't help thinking there must be some pretty decent players since 89/90 that I've forgotten!
  13. Yeah, the club are clueless... just look at their track record when it comes to shirt sales!
  14. I singed someone's hair with a Bunsen burner once. It was an accident.
  15. He never said burn them to death. Maybe he just means burn them a bit until they toe the line. I think we can all endorse that as a sensible and proportionate response.
  16. Yeah, mush. I really love looking like a bell-end on my hols too!! Lolzz!!11 It's the one thing that sustains me through the desolate summer months.
  17. What an odd stadium - that mini-stand behind the goal looks funny.
  18. Two customers paying £550 is better than than three paying £330. Don't be swayed by the vocal minority.
  19. Daniel Kofi Agyei.
  20. Mills is a decent player but, let's be honest, he's impressed most when he's been out on loan.
  21. There is a difference between cuplability and contributory stupidity/negligence. Clearly, if you are raped you are not the perpetrator and you are not culpable. If, however, your actions have contributed to the rape then you may be stupid or reckless. Clearly, at the extreme scale of rape (ie. some weirdo lurking in a bush and jumping on a passer-by) there is minimal contribution. At the less severe end of the rape spectrum you might have the situation where some slut gets off her head and goes to bed with someone and later claims she didn't consent to sex. Clearly she has contributed quite significantly to the situation (although she is not culpable of anything). At best, this walk is a harmless but misguided protest. At worst it gives the dangerous and wrong message that women can act as provocatively and irresponsibly as they like regardless of whether that is reckless or sensible.
  22. Who said that?
  23. I remember Monkou being awesome in some games but a liability in others. At his best he was tremendous but he doesn't have the consistency that Svennson or Richards or Fonte (albeit in a lower division) have shown. I might be wrong though, as it was a while ago! I chose Ruddock because he scored the first Saints goal I saw live!
