  1. Net or gross cost?
  2. You mean like the current PL champions?
  3. Another great escape. Sort of.
  4. Another last minute cheater from Arsenal. Unlike their north London neighbours, I have had grudging respect for them. Referees are doing their best to change that.
  5. Not involving Saints, but Aguero missing two penalties against Steaua and still scoring a hattrick was quite an achievement.
  6. That would be Pulis.
  7. Yes, but the bestest, most passionate boos in the world, surely.
  8. Champions? I thought we're playing Leicester next? Oh.....
  9. Rosie's friends?
  10. Nope. Lots of good teams get to the final.
  11. Sorry about the delay, I've just woken up. All of them got to the FA cup final and were also relegated in the same season. A number of League cup finalists have too, including Birmingham as noted earlier by hutch.
  12. If you do just make sure you don't tread on one of these. Otherwise you won't get another chance in life.
  13. Just to play devil's advocate, what do Wigan, Skates, Middlesbrough, Brighton, Leicester City and Manchester City have in common?
  14. I think when he's fully recovered from injury he'll be alwrite for us as a back up CB.
  15. The whole world is a cesspit of greed and corruption.
  16. So many straw men there that I'm getting a hay fever attack. Professional athletes should not drink in excess. Period.
  17. That's true. There wouldn't be any booze left.
  18. Nothing wrong with an occasional drink. Plenty wrong getting smashed regularly if you're a highly paid professional athlete.
  19. Yes, a life without (much) drinking and no smoking. At £40K or more per week to kick a ball around it's not unreasonable for them to keep themselves at peak fitness for 15 or so years.
  20. Austin, a goalscorer at the London Stadium, appeared particularly dishevelled as exited the club, with a drink stain clearly visible on the front of his shirt. Hope the drink stains are from his Pepsi, or from another person's beer. Professional footballers have to be in peak physical condition, which means minimal drinking and no smoking. When they retire in their mid thirties they have 40 or so more years to make up for lost time if they want. Jack Wheelchair being an exception of course, since he only has to play three matches a year.
