  1. **** him, no sympathies about how it's gone wrong for him. Mind you, I'm sure he's still laughing all the way to the bank.
  2. Can't find much to argue about the facts in the article. But I wouldn't be surprised if he had a smug grin on his face as he was writing it.
  3. According to my calculations a NR in just one of Hants v. Notts, Lancs v. Glam or Warks v. Kent should be enough.
  4. Big Vic is bound to miss a number of matches (suspensions, injuries, or just rested), so it makes sense to have both this bloke and VVD available to fill those large boots, as well of course as central defenders.
  5. EL + 12th. A more interesting choice would be EL+mid-table vs. FA Cup + 4th. Both would give entry to the CL the next season.
  6. He's baaaack. And who knows, after a few more wins maybe even Corpsy will pop in for a visit, and tell us how pig sick we're going to be at the heights they're going to achieve.
  7. Since 2010 only one winner of the 2nd semi-final (Hants 2012) has won the final. Edgbaston is fairly central, so travel distance shouldn't determine the order of the semis. In fairness it should be done by random draw.
  8. Hants v. Lancs Northants v. Warks Strangely, the order of games is still to be determined. Why not from the draw itself? Hants have played their semi-finals as the 2nd match in each of the last 4 finals days (2011-2014), only in 2010 was their semi-final the first match. I would guess playing in the 1st semi-final is an advantage for the winning team, with more time to rest before the final. My money is on Hants again playing in the second semi-final.
  9. "Last weekend, Lawro got two correct results from 10 Premier League games, with no perfect scores." Somewhere out there is a monkey with a typewriter also having a good laugh.
  10. Also don't forget his reliability and great engine.

  12. I thought he was a bit unlucky. Good header into the ground, but just a bit too close to their goalkeeper, who made an outstanding (and somewhat lucky) save with his leg.
  13. You've just come out of a time machine and posted this 100 years in the future, right?
  14. Welcome to the nutjob clan. Only 6402 more posts and you'll be up there with Lord Trousers. Actually, by that time you'll need a few thousand more to keep up. Talking of which... Steady on, old chap. Let's not get carried away. If relegation is out of the question, I'll also go along with the heartbreaking playoff loss. Forget semi-finals, a penalty shoot out failure in the final would be suitably agonising I think, as well as keeping this epic thread humming along nicely.
  15. dublinroo: Ah, Southampton. Everyone loves Southampton. With their successful youth system and their attacking football and their ability to replace big money leavers and remain successful on their terms and their extremely verbose but unfailingly polite posters on here. Sickeningly nice. Even I like them. Bastards.
  16. How about a straight swap, JWP for Leon G? Then we'll be amazed and they'll be amazed. A win-win.
  17. Yes, misleading and annoying.
  18. By not withdrawing his fast bowler he knew the match would be abandoned, so it was his choice. Given what happened last year, it is almost certain Glamorgan will be docked at least 2 points (either this season or next), and possibly will still forfeit this match (if there's any justice). So he may look back and regret his decision.
  19. Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph said: "I think it's the right decision (to abandon the match), I would have kept bowling Hoges because I needed to keep taking wickets." So it appears he chose for the match to be abandoned to salvage the point. Can't blame him I suppose, but he shouldn't get away with it. "The pitch did become too dangerous but no reason why we shouldn't get 2 points from that game, Duckworth Lewis at that stage was 9 for 0." - James Vince "Hopefully common sense prevails and we get the 2 points with the position we were in. Let's wait and see." - Liam Dawson
  20. That's a bit harsh. We can call him Dick maybe, but calling him a **** is taking it a bit far. Unless he does a Lovren of course.
  21. Agreed, one point each is not fair. Is this set in stone, or can the cricket board still award Hants the win? A 2 point deduction for Glamorgan next season isn't much use for Hants.
