Our On-the-Beach mentality is a f**king disgrace
Dark Munster replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Dead cats do too, apparently. -
Yes "downfall" is a bit extreme. Nevertheless, this was a golden, once in a lifetime, opportunity to finish in a Champion's League place. If we'd been able to do it, it's possible we could hold on to Toby, Morgan, Nathan etc. and recruit some other quality players, cementing our position near the top.

Did we? I thought most of us were fairly fond of Bart. He did have some dodgy games at the end, but also a number of good ones at the beginning. Anyway, back to Gazzaniga: Weaknesses: already discussed. Strengths: he's not as bad as Fourpast.

Nice try. But unfortunately not in the same class as .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efRnjMjp2XM

It was bloody obvious to everyone and their dog that we needed a decent back-up GK. But Reed and RK gambled on FF not getting injured or suspended. And they lost.

Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS
Dark Munster replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This, along with a back up GK. The way Spurs, Liverpool and ManU have limped along since the window, we could have had a realistic shot at 4th with a decent striker and GK brought in during the window. It was so bloody obvious, except to Reed, RK and co. -

Outfoxed. Well done Leicester and Nige. -
Time for a back up. Anyone got a spare 50 terabyte hard drive St C. can borrow?

No problem, the crowd can get angry and scream at the video ref. To facilitate this, microphones should be set up in the stands so that the crowds fury can be piped loud and clearly into the video room.

See post 91.

Of course this could be Sir Ronnie's cunning plan, play Toby out of position to make him look ordinary, cooling the interests of the likes of Citeh etc., thereby increasing our chances of signing him permanently in the summer. The man's a genius.

I agree with all of Mr Lighthouse's remarks. There are a lot of straw man from the naysayers, but there's no reason why this couldn't be done. Well one actually (to play Devil's advocate): this probably could only be afforded in the top leagues, so the lower level clubs (such as the Skates) would have to be left to do it the poor man's way without technology.

Morgan out until the end of the season
Dark Munster replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Me too. I was even going to put a z at the end of the ball. -
Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Dark Munster replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
So, a 10 day ultimatum. That should be as successful as it was with Cork. Anyway, if he decides to go good luck to him. I agree with Redslo, Nathan will have fulfilled most of his contract and played well for us, and Saints will make good money if he leaves in the summer. I certainly will have much more respect for him than Lovren, Shaw and Chambers. -
I think he's referring to gravity.

Close season 2017, playing devil's advocate
Dark Munster replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
In fairness it could be the Vauxhall Conference again in 2017. -

I don't care if he's a DM. He's a bloody professional footballer who should've got at least 2 of those on target.

For the umpteenth time, Luggy had nothing to do with our relegation (unless you count the two games he was in charge at the beginning of the relegation season, one win and one loss). Relegation was down to Saggy, Lowe and Wigley (in that order). Now if Glenda had been appointed instead of Wigley we may indeed have survived.

Doesn't Lawro (and the bookies) know that Big Vic is out, Toby is touch and go, Nathan's head is in Manchester, Pelle currently couldn't score in a brothel, and we've got calamity Kelvin in goal?

Athletic Bilbao to honour Matt Le Tissier
Dark Munster replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Great read that. Athletic Bilbao are now my favourite La Liga club. Other way around mate. If he had sodded off to join Liverpool or Man U he would've had more than 8 caps. -
Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED

Spurs a stunning beauty? More like an ugly cow but with lots of money. -
Saints 1 (Pelle) Spurs 1 (****ing Eriksen in the ****ing 88th minute)

Without Toby, Nathan and Morgan?
