  1. Brilliant article. Was that really written by a QPR fan? If so, it's extraordinarily insightful from a fan from another club. I would say he should become a journalist for one of the big papers, but he's too talented for that.
  2. So basically we're damned if they do play for their country, and damned if they don't.
  3. Probably. But that's what we thought about Palace last year, before Pulis performed his miracle.
  4. I don't think these are criticisms, rather fond observations. After all, we all love RK (at the moment at least).
  5. His English is a lot better than my Dutch. And his Dutch accent isn't as strong as the Brolly Wally's.
  6. Agreed, a good solid back-up goalkeeper needed. Unless Boruc gets back in the pram, bringing his dummy and toys with him.

Not me. We're thin squad-wise in the attacking department. It's a long hard season, and if Pelle or Tadic get injured/suspended we'll be in trouble without J-Rod.
  8. Stop complaining, nipper.
  9. Dear Worcestershire, Thank you for your heroic efforts against Essex, and commiserations for not quite succeeding. We look forward to meeting you in the first division next year. Love, Hampshire xxxx P.S.
  10. Like. And maybe he'll repay the chant with a nice soft penalty against Rio.
  11. Wood said that Hampshire had were in two minds about whether to enforce the follow-on after bowling Glamorgan out for 172, leaving them 185 runs behind. “With two and a half days remaining and the pitch only going to get worse, we decided to bat again,” he explained. “There wasn’t much discussion. “We looked at the weather forecast and what rain there could be on Friday appears minimal, so we thought it was best to grind them down. “We didn’t want to be left chasing 100 or 150 on the final day on a wearing surface, so we decided to bat on.”
  12. 172 all out at tea. Adams doesn't usually like enforcing the follow on. But maybe he will this time?
  13. I repeat, why do any Saints fans want Clyne (or any of our English players) to be called up for England? Haven't Shaw, Lambert and Lallana taught us anything?
  14. They seem determined to bring Essex (with their rice-pudding bowling) up with them. Assuming Essex get 300 or more it looks like one of 2 possibilities: Hants win and finish first, or draw/lose and finish third.
  15. Correct. Or get a draw with 12 points and Essex score less than 300 in 110 overs.
  16. Agreed. Terry has more first team experience and has some decent knocks for the first team recently. 233-5 now.
  17. You can never have too many Davises.
  18. A solid, unspectacular, reliable backup GK is not unreasonable. Someone like Kelvin, but 5 years younger.
  19. Defensively (DM + defenders + GK taken together) we're as good as anyone in the league, IMHO. Attacking-wise we are mediocre at best, with 5 or 6 teams miles ahead of us. And if Forster gets injured or suspended ....
  20. The same for Bearsy, I heard.
  21. Won against Liverpool, WBA, Swansea and Newcastle, lost against West Ham. 12 points versus 10 this time.
  22. We will win 2-0 and finish 7-8
  23. I wish someone would tell the Yanks, because it's bloody hard to find here. Which is a bit strange since Heinz is American.
  24. Me? I no wanker!
  25. I think they tried asking, but nobody could understand their replies. As for WGS, he made most of his fortune in England, so he can stick his tie up his arse.
