Moyes earns £3m a year? lol. He won't last the season.

Surely they should have settled the matter with their fists.

Quality player. In a good team he'd do very well. I'd say the same for his bro too.

Pelle Set to Leave For China - Telegraph
Junior Mullet replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
The ability to chop and change and combine Long and Pelle during the second half of last season was a winning formula. I can't believe we would feck it up for ourselves. We can't gamble on J Rod being fit all season, Mane has gone, Austin is unproven as yet in our team and our system and please let's not allow Gallagher anywhere near the first team again. -
And look at the season Stones has had. Massively under the microscope at the start of the season and built up to epic proportions. Has looked shaky most of the season.

Leicester will never win the title. In fact if they do, I will contribute to Saintsweb in just my undies... Even though they are top now, there will be injuries, sales in Jan, they'll just crumble. No way they can keep it up.... OK, so they're still doing pretty well but they're bound to bottle it.... Spurs will surely catch them. Surely..... OK, so looks like I'll be contributing in my undies then. Oh yeah, I already do.

Keep him for our title push next season. What he adds to the squad surely outweighs the transfer fee we'd get if we cash in on him. -
You've really got to feel for Morgan. Stayed with us for ages and earned his transfer to one of the biggest clubs in the world and, as you say, looks nowhere near the player he was for us. Wouldn't be surprised if Morgan is used as a make-weight in a transfer deal this summer, especially if LVG stays.

Big fan of Vic, but won't cry if he or anyone else leaves. Nobody is irreplaceable and Leicester just won the title without Vic in their team.

That David Silva bloke has done alright for someone not really suited to the tough tackling nature of the English game. The odd injury aside of course.

The club will demand a decent transfer fee if he goes this Summer. If nobody is prepared to pay that price, we will have a forward line of Pelle, Long, J Rod and Austin to mount our title challenge next season. I'm delighted the club have managed to engineer this position. -
Schneiderlin took time to develop. I can't help but think of him when I see the mixed reviews of JWP.

No this forum hasn't lost it. Fact is, Saints are currently serving up poor dishes. It may be down to the Head Chef. Head Chef might blame the owner for giving him cheap ingredients. Perhaps the ingredients themselves need a bit of a talking to.

Really? I can see Leicester holding on. Only an injury to Vardy or Mahrez would set them back massively.

Has Virgil van Dijk been the best signing in the Premier League?

I'd argue Payet has been better for West Ham than Schneiderlin. I'd say the same for Cabaye at Palace. -
Has Virgil van Dijk been the best signing in the Premier League?
Junior Mullet replied to steve55's topic in The Saints
Nope. Plenty of really good PL signings this year and he's not top of that list. As others have said, Toby to Spurs was a better signing for starters. Virgil catches the eye because he attacks the ball, he's a big lad and is a real threat from set-pieces. However, his positional sense needs quite a lot of work and in particular his eagerness to attack the ball out of position can leave holes and force other players out of position. By contrast, Toby last year didn't catch the eye quite so much but his positional play was superb and his calmness helped the defence operate well as a unit. The best defences work as a unit. I'm sure the coaches will work on this with him. It also can't help that we don't have a regular RB and with Font's recent injury things have been unsettled. -
Did you see him last night in the first half, down by the left back corner flag. He won the ball in a tackle, had no easy options on and so just kicked it out for a throw to Liverpool. He could have at least tried to knock it out off of the Liverpool player's shins. It was hardly a dangerous position to give the ball away if that didn't work. It was one of the weirdest and most submissive things I've seen at a football match in ages. He simply didn't back himself to get out of a tight spot. It was so poor I checked it on the highlights when I got home - sure enough he just passed it out of play.

OK, perhaps my mention of plaudits was unnecessary. But aside from that one sentence, do you disagree with the more important points that I've raised? I never said the club is going to **** and a disaster zone. I was actually making comments about our football.
-
The style and pattern of play that Adkins begun to develop and which Potchettino took to the next level has slowly diminished since RK took over. The pressing game with quick fluid passes has all but fizzled out. Our build up is slow and predictable. We no longer get plaudits for the way we play. Last night Liverpool played the press to perfection, their shape was perfect and they were a lot tougher and more aggressive than us. It was no coincidence that balls seemed to always fall to their players. As soon as we went to 3 at the back after half time players looked confused. They didn't seem to know where they were supposed to be or where their team mates were.

It might depend on whether Pelle wants out in the Summer.
