  1. 2-1 Saints. VVD and Davis with our goals. I can see this being quite a fiery match.
  2. We need a new first choice right back. Clearly Koeman has his reservations with Cedric. We need someone who can hold the position down the way Bertrand does at LB and Clyne did last season. Batman is not a penis for starting this thread. Could Janmaat do a job for us when Newcastle are relegated?

    Yoshida

    Hmmmmmmm that's interesting.
  4. The Premier League is a worldwide product. That is why they are doing this. I agree, it seems weird and over the top to most of us but it's not meant for us. It's directed at the rest of the world.
  5. At half time, why not get a couple of local kids teams to play a quick game 7-a side . Maybe once a month present a local with an award to thank them for community work or similar.
  6. I hope he gets a really bad injury so that we don't sell him.
  7. In a team full of MOTM performances I gave my MOTM to Pelle. It was as faultless a performance from a target man you will ever see. Mane catches the eye but Pelle was just perfect.
  8. I played badminton with her a few years back. She's in great shape but has a potty mouth.
  9. Wishful thinking. No.
  10. We had a great chance last year and we blew it. It'll be a long time before we're top six calibre again, but I think that has more to do with the fact that other teams outside of the top six have the ability to spend big now. One of the top six usually drop a bollock in a season and it's up to the chasing pack to take advantage. I can see Spurs being put under pressure to remain top 6 this season. Can Swansea, Stoke or even Leicester take advantage and pip them? For me that'll be one of the exciting features this year.
  11. Chill out ****ers. We'll win in convincing fashion tonight. The first leg was a freak. Pelle will terrorise them.
  12. I'm not sure he'll play J Rod in that way. I wouldn't be surprised if he rotates Pelle and J Rod in the target man position depending on strengths and weaknesses of opposition. Personally I would play him and Pelle together - that front 4 (possibly Juanmi for Tadic depending on form) would score a lot of goals and scare a lot of defences.
  13. Is it not live on Saints YouTube channel?
  14. Stand out players?
  15. You mean the guy we had last season with a terrible injury record? Hope he plays as much for spurs as shaw did for united last season. #trusttheboard
  16. In which case we would not have had him here last season.
  17. What about j rod too. He's coming back physically bigger.
  18. I'd love to see Austin here. He could become a real legend like Lambert.
  19. I think Morgan will make a great manager one day. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him back in that capacity 15 years from now.
  20. I'd stick with Long and Mane - they showed enough to convince me they'll be more than a handful for any team, not just teams that play on the front foot with a high line. Pelle is snatching at chances and is one dimensional. If you were a Burnley defender, who would you rather play against?
  21. Europa worked for Athletico. I think it would be a good thing for us too. Everton have problems bigger than playing in Europe on a Thursday night - we will not 'do an Everton' - we're more solid than that. You can wave goodbye to cushty 3.00pm Saturday games if we do qualify however. I'd welcome that as I enjoy watching SSN that time on a Saturday.
  22. I think you'll find he came to us in exactly those circumstances. I have no problem with a player who keeps their head down and mouth shut for the duration of their contract. If they outgrow us in that time then that's fair enough. It's the w@nkers that sign four year deals and then moan and force a move at the end of year one.
  23. Earlier in the season we were making those runs from deep central midfielders. We regularly overloaded the box and the opposition simply couldn't cope. That's why Morgan, Wanyama and even Cork back then but havn't since. For me it was the most noticeable difference between Poch and Koeman. It's stopped and our forward play has become slower and more predictable at the same time.
