Brighton are rivals in the sense that they are in the same division as us and were trying to achieve the same thing as us, but BHA and others have been like bournemouth fans this season, trying to suggest a dislike/rivalry with us that really doesnt exist in the saints fanbase.

We only have one rivalry, and that is with p*rts*outh. Brighton fans seem to have been talking up their rivalry with saints, we dont care either way whether you do well or badly over the course of a season. Listen to the cheers in SMS when the skates results come through and theyve been stuffed, or the groans when they win, then listen to the non-reaction to the brighton results. Technically of course you are correct, every club in L1 are our rivals in attempting to gain promotion. And we'll see about Poyet, wont we imho he's done just that bit too well not to get poached by a prem side. How much money have you put on him staying?

Congratulations to Brighton, clearly deserved promotion, they have been consistently good this season. Even after they came to St Marys, parked the bus and timewasted from 10 minutes in, they still almost grabbed 3 points, if it hadnt have been for Kelvin saving that pen.... Two other points, I agree with all the SWF above who've said its not a derby. It takes two groups of fans to create a rivalry, and its pretty clear to me that most saints fans really couldn't give a toss about Brighton either way, our only real rivals are the skates. Second point, I tend to agree with Old Nick, theres a good chance that Poyet will decamp for spurs the moment saggychops gets the england job, in fact ive had a crafty tenner on that.
