  1. Seems a bit of a coincidence - he was cracking on Saturday
  2. Problem is - they're doing pretty well - so bit of a non-starter
  3. Matt Le Tissier. Where I sit in the Kingsland stand, we're right near the stairs where commentators/pundits need to come up to get to the gantry. Can't remember the exact game, but Le Tiss was there. He walked around the pitch to a rapture of applause, and finally made it up the stairs. I thought to myself "right, i'm going to pat him on the back, along with everyone else". So, i reached out, couldn't quite reach him, he was getting away, so i stretched my arm out as far as i could, and i accidentally fish-hooked him. No joke! I certainly got his attention, we stared blankly at each other, I apologised, he laughed, shook my hand, and commentated on the game. True legend - and a truly nice bloke.
  4. Absolutely 100% agreed. Lots of positives as well - this was good reading for me
  5. Wotton was our first signing when the dutch management team announced we were going to be playing free-form fast paced attacking football
  6. Furthermore - we all forget that both Barnard and Fonte signed for us in the January transfer window when Championship clubs were interested.
  7. Good man. What a great strike from Lallana, left peg too!
  8. He's a Papa Waigo with full knowledge of the offside rule. And better.
  9. I liked to Guly songs yesterday - in particular "olay, olay, olay olayyyy.... Gullll-ayyy, gull-ayy" Not bad for one made up on the spot
  10. I agree with you - why boo Lloyd James? Fair enough, if it was Ricardo Fuller, go ahead and boo - but I for one was pleased to see him back and applauded when he was brought onto the pitch, with the majority of the crowd doing the same.
  11. makes me sick reading it: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6350295,00.html BLURGH! :$
  12. Oh sweet christ. All this Paul Hart talk isn't good, I need a beer - anyone?
  13. Have we actually signed this chap or not? Echo seems adamant we have - but nothing official as yet......
  14. I too am now a season ticket holder, as is my old man. Back to it after the World cup!
  15. Just a rumour chaps - but I've heard that we'll be signing Scott Davies on loan from Reading. Chap I know has links with Aldershot (where he was on loan last season) has said he won't be going back to them next season as he's coming to us. This is my first ever rumour post! Hope it's true, if it's not, i'll never post another one again
  16. Ah b*gger. I'll blame it on being ill. And not being able to read.
  17. ok - here's the Echo article on this: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8196109.Wolves_signing_means_cash_for_Saints/ I think whoever did the maths here needs shooting. If Wolves paid "about £3 million" for him - and we have a sell on clause of "between 10 and 15 percent" - why are we likely to receive £250,000 to £385,000??? 10% x £3,000,000 = £300,000 15% x £3,000,000 = £450,000 Just me? have I got too much time on my hands?
  18. RIP Mary
  19. I have - I quite enjoy a half time turd at St Marys I must say. I've had several thinking about it, those chicken balti pies seem to loosen things up
  20. 3 key moments for me that almost had me in tears: * FA cup final 2003. Was so proud of the boys and all the Saints fans stayed right until the end. We were clear underdogs, but still. * Relegation from the Premiership 2005 - on the drive back to Reading, my old man and I didn't say a word to each other. Absolutely the most gutting moment as a Saints fan. * Marians last game. If this didn't choke you up, you ain't a Saints fan. I love that little Latvian.
  21. I've no idea why we need another left back - harding was quality last season
  22. David Connolly's strike versus Norwich at home in the League, one of the best goals i've seen at St Marys - put us 2-1 up in what was probably the most entertaining game I've seen at home all season. I know it ended 2-2 - but you've got to love a 20 yard screamer into the top corner haven't you?
  23. Legend - was well happy to see that. He's fat! He's round! He bounces on the ground, David Hirst, David Hirst! LOL
  24. 100% agreed. The season was over for us since last weekend - use the games to see whose still going to be useful for us next season. If the player's in question subsequently have a pants game - then they won't be here next season, no moaning from me!
