  1. I'd think the safest bet on our next manager would be him getting sacked or have moved on before the start of the 2018/19 season.
  2. What's the obsession with German managers then? Don't really get that. Klopp was supposed to be the bee's nuts but although he's OK he's not really pulling up any trees with the dippers is he. They are so erratic despite the truckloads of money that they've spent.
  3. Let me straighten you out, you do not want to touch Nasri with a bargepole. Horrid little man who causes problems everywhere he goes.
  4. But Pochettino is an exceptional coach and he had what was probably one of the best sides that we've ever had apart from a kickass striker that is. If we'd had say Harry Kane at time I'm sure that we could have finished on the heels of the top 4. Could have even been different had JRod stayed upright.
  5. It probably is yes. I sometimes think that the "board" and a fair old percentage of the fans are totally deluded over the quality of our squad. We've spent a fair old bit on total non entities these last times.
  6. And they got well over 50% of the votes actually cast. But t'was basically a 2 party system then, Libs were around 3% and the odds and bods and nationalists of all kinds probably didn't get 1% of the total vote between them.
  7. Logic does not always apply when trying to shàg a bit of strange. reason tells you to give it a miss, your friends and colleagues tell you to give a miss but you still do it anyway. Well at least you did when I was a young man.
  8. Don't know, with the DUP and presumably the ex Ulster Unionist Independant May has 329 votes, given that the true effective of the Commons is 643 without counting the usual absences for illness etc she has some sort of margin. I seem to remember someone governing for a fair time with a theoretic majority of about 2
  9. Sounds about right. I'd be quite interested to know exactly how Corbyn thinks he could muster a majority n the Commons. He's got 56 less than the Conservatives, Sinn Fein don't sit, can't see either DUP or the lone NI independant having anything to do with either labour or a man reputed to have had Irish Republican sympathies at one time. Pehaps he's counting on the Scottish conservatives to have a bit of a U turn and back him in exchange for some sort of independance vote, can't see that either. So basically you'd just have to assume that he's just another dreamer.
  10. Might depend on whether we get a new and much wealthier owner.
  11. depends if we'll have the wherewithal to pay for above average, definitely not dross replacements really doesn't it. If we're going down the 12-13 million pot luck road again as we did last season with Hojberg and Boufal there's no guarantee that we'll be any better than now.
  12. If we're asking 70 million, yes it's far too much. We want to keep him apparently so we seem to be asking a price that no-one will consider paying. We'll see whether we have the resolve to turn down any realistic offer over 40 million.
  13. I would have thought that they already have enough Tadic type players. Can't see why they'd be interested in signing any more. They need a really reliable striker, a left back and another top class centre back. All the rest would be just more of the same and a drag on the salarial mass.
  14. Doubt it, he's out of contract soon and there would be a deadline for Chelsea to have offered him a new one. It's just let's all crap on the dippers time again. Just a tribunal decision to decide compensation.
  15. Our XI are a bit woeful against South Africa A aren't they! Still it's basically the seconds so no great concern.
  16. If you want gentlemen follow rugby, only sport where you can see a solicitor and a brain surgeon kicking the crap out of each other of a Saturday afternoon.
  17. Probably at Chelsea's picking up an award for the most likely new recruit, tied with Lukaku though.
  18. But on the discussion a friend of Puel said that he hadn't signed anywhere at all (yet?) because as far as he knows he's still under contract at Saints.
  19. Apparently it was pretty crappy advice anyway.
  20. Yep that's what we're going to do, put 70 million into a paper bag and put it out on a park bench every Wednesday with a notice written on it in felt pen inviting people to help themselves to a few quid, because that's what letting a valuable player "rot in the reserves" amounts to.
  21. everyone except the DUP that is, they'll be pleased to get the kingmaker place that they thought they'd get last time.
  22. After his train wreck in Milan I'd doubt he'd get a job coaching Crystal Palace ladies.
  23. Anyway I'd get Pellegrino if we're actually looking for a new manager, have to be quick though because Palace are after him as well.
  24. Schmidt is among the favourites at Palace is he not ? I do wonder if Puel hasn't applied for the job there as well, if he's free to apply for jobs as he seems to be that is.
  25. In effect, the UKIP got nigh on 4 million votes last time round I believe and this time I doubt that they even got a quarter of that. With the Lib Dems being virtually wiped out in 2015 and not anywhere near their prior vote this time either we're leaning back towards a 2 party system, apart from the Scot Nats that is.
