A very premature thread really. We can avoid relegation and should concentrate on doing so. Wins against Bournemouth and Swansea should be well within our grasp and could very well be all we need because I don't see Huddersfield getting many more points.

This year's results in the ECL have shown that anything is possible. I mean who expected Roma to pull back 3 goals against Barcelona. These knockout rounds are one off occasions that start at 50-50. Liverpool were impressive over the 2 legs against City and you just can't write them off. With their front trio they can score at any time against anyone.

Why should we be bitter ? We sold them players with more ambition than SFC for a lot of money (which we have since wasted on dross). In fact the ECL success of Liverpool so far and our current dilema just bears out the players desire to leave us for a bigger club. Premier football is alright if your preferred team can afford 20 or so of the very best players and you can give all of the others a drubbing. If you're down in the also rans fielding Hojbjergs and Stephens then it's not so much fun. Until the PL implements a real spending and salary cap then the PL will just be a series of warm up games for the ECL.
