  1. here's 3 scenarios... 1. turkish never speeds 2. when turkish does realise he is speeding he goes directly to the nearest cop shop and reports himself 3. turkish is on a wind-up....again.... confess to your crime turkish! and potential save people from taking you seriously! lol
  2. I can't deny he has proved value for money this season, but it will take more than a dozen or so games for me to dismiss his previous histrionics from my mind. I'm happy for him to earn his wages (and the wages he took and didn't deserve when he was acting like a plank) until the end of the season, but I won't miss him if he goes. It's good to see he can knuckle down if he applies himself. I wonder what was said that caused the change of heart by both him and the management last season?
  3. well it's not as if he had anything better to do then, is it!
  4. Would be interesting for peoples views on a player by player basis for both teams "best" lineups - not that I expect anyone would actually agree on either team. I think it's obvious Bale is a class above everyone, and that they are superior in the goalkeeping department. I do think we are in a flase position - we have played the entire top 8 (I think) and that is one hell of an intro to the Premier League.
  5. If you think Cortese listens to all the gossip-mongerers and people with other agendas, then yes, it might be. On the other hand, I like to think he's got some common sense.
  6. I don't believe in "win at all costs" and bringing that cheating skate back is tantamount to that. I can still remember the interviews he gave when he was a manager - all he ever did was whinge and whine about how we weren't good enough (fair enough, it may have been true, but it's not exactly a good motivational tactic is it). I can't ever recall him looking comfortable in the job and I don't see how that would change now - and that is aside from the rumours of brown envelopes and offshore accounts. The only positive I can see from it is I'd get a good nights sleep at the weekend because I wouldn't be up half the night watching Saints!
  7. If NA was the person who decided our transfer strategy should be to go all-out attack and spend millions on forwards rather than defenders, then maybe that shows he is not up to the job, however....I don't believe he made that call. I still think we need to give him until the end of the season. Even if we did get relegated I don't think we would lose more than 2 or 3 of our current squad, and I don't think we can blame him for the defenders we currently have in the side. Do you think a new manager will automatically make those same players less error-prone?
  8. The only answer to this problem is send the idiot to jail and ban Leeds supporters from away games for the rest of the season. Harsh on the loyal (and decent) fans but it would send the right message
  9. I think you are vastly underestimating the wages that he will expect.
  10. They are probably the only team in the world who have more supporters at their home games than the rest of the league has in it's entirety (and probably morere than the league above them as well)! I also wish that the English League had the same balls as the Scottish League had, and had dished out a similar fate to the blue few up the road. It was a bloody stupid rant by that yorkshire knob though.
  11. Nope. Nothing is forever. Have backups and make sure you have actually managed a successful restore. Do a fresh backup on a regular basis. Probably storing it in the cloud is safest with regards to not losing it...but security is another matter.
  12. I'm certainly not of the opinion that 7 games should define a man's career ...especially taking into account the previous two seasons. Even if we go down I would still stick with the Manager - but after watching the 2nd half I think it is going to be a long hard season. 2nd half it looked like they were running around like a bunch of crazy ants. What the hell happened at half time? Really though....what were people thinking? I HOPED we would be a top half side, but the odds are against us based on the overall performance of promoted teams for the past 10 years or more. I still happen to think that QPR Reading and Norwich are all worse than us, and I have readjusted my expectations and will be happy if we finish anywhere outside the bottom 3.
  13. on first sight it does appear worrying, but there are dozens of explanations as to why we would do this - some good and some not so good. Not all debt is bad. What % interest are we being charged? I seem to recall something being said about a 5 year plan and that a trust fund was set up. Maybe the interest we receive on that trust fund is greater than the interest we are paying on this loan? Maybe we borrowed against Premier League payments because a technicality means we can't borrow against the trust fund? It would help if there was more transparency from the club, but a simple statement that we have a loan isn't enough to get too stressed over.
  14. I got goosebumps just reading that!
  15. Unless you are a natural and a freak, then definitely start with a handful of lessons. Break the bad habits before they form! The pro can also advise you as to which clubs suit your game best
  16. 3 wins 4 draws. Norwich, QPR & Reading for the wins.
  17. My golfing hero. I had the pleasure of following him at Walton Heath (might have been European Open?) many many years ago. what an amazing few hours of golf and what a tribute to Seve.
  18. I thought we'd get something in the Wigan and Villa games and was optimistic of a result against Man Utd - but I'm an optimistic sort of person. Having said that - I've enjoyed watching us in the Premiership more than I thought I would (with the exception of the Arsenal game) and although we're behind my hoped for points total I don't really care as yet
  19. Might be a bit soon to play Boruc if he hasn't been playing at all this season - would prefer to give KD a game. No point in chucking the game away and alienating the fans against Boruc (Saints fans fickle?....never...) if his game is a bit rusty. I'd be worried about playing either of Fonte and Yoshida if Jos isn't going to be fit for Saturday. Maybe stick with Seabourne but not sure about the other CB - maybe Butterfield or Cork? I think we are a bit stretched for defensive cover at the moment. Who are the regulars for the U21's? Midfield and upfront we have plenty of options. I'll be surprised if more than 2 or 3 of Saturdays game start the match, but that we'll have some experience on the bench. It's not that I think Wednesday will be an easy game (even though their start to the season has not been much better than ours), it's just that number one priority is Premier League at this stage.
  20. What a fickle lot we are.....and from what's being said here, it sounds as if the players are too. Personally I don't believe that at all. You don't have 2 great seasons and then lose the players' confidence in 4 games. Even though some of you lot do.
  21. So far I've had abuse from Man city, Man Utd and Arsenal fans since the start of the season - and I AM LOVING IT!!! Of course I'd be happier to be giving it back to them but just being back in the Premier League and Aussies even knowing who Saints are is just awesome. I'll start to get depressed if we're still without any points in October but for now I'm still enjoying the ride
  22. Davis has had his weaknesses highlighted - but he has been left so badly exposed by his teammates it's not all his fault. I didn't even bother watching the 2nd half as we were so obviously not up for it yesterday. The defence is getting most of the criticism, but the way the midfield lost the ball and then just seemed to give up was embarrassing. ....but then again, it's just like watching Saints of old. It wouldn't be the same if we didn't get at least one tonking a season!
  23. Didn't Marian Pahars do that for us in the trial game before we signed him? Steve Moran is another that seems to stick in the memory for some reason
  24. It's that bad that I couldn't even be bothered to try and find my way around enough to get to the page where I could add a complaint! Premier League?? - You're having a laugh!
  25. Wiggins or Murray. How do you choose between them. I'd vote for Wiggins, purely because he's not a scottish c#nt...but then again I've just checked and Wiggins was actually born in Belgium - so Mo Farrah then....
